Characters: Hibiki-kun and you!
Setting: ~~everywhere and anywhere~~ hallways in the late afternoon
Format: Up to you, good sir or madam, and I'll follow your lead!
Summary: Hibiki's still a little new here, and what better way to familiarize yourself with a new location than to wander around aimlessly? Who knows, maybe he'll make a new friend!

Huh, this feels like dejavu.

Hibiki's out in the hallways, Typholosion close behind him--they would take up the entire hallway if they walked side-by-side and Hibiki isn't one to be rude! His agenda for today is pretty much..empty. Maybe to find someone to show him around a little or even do something, anything, with him! He would've asked his roommates, but he already asked them a bunch of questions. (He thinks he'll wait a while before doing that again.) Ah, this tower's pretty big...he hopes he can remember how to get back to his room.

He has a smile on his face, as usual, humming an unnamed tune. Now that he thinks about it, he hasn't really seen much since he arrived. Only his room and the cafeteria, if he recalls correctly. Only the tasteless oatmeal stands out, as sad as that sounds. Hibiki wonders what kind of people and things there are here to do, there's only so much time walking around kills! He's still a growing boy, being bored all the time will do him no good so won't someone please help him?

He stops abruptly in the middle of the hallway and sighs--poor kid--but oops Typhlosion didn't realize and walks right into him, sending both of them to the ground.

At least nothing was set on fire. This time.

[Itachi's standing just a few feet in front of the pair, and when he hears the thud, he turns to look. A boy is lying underneath some kind of... flaming monster? He raises an eyebrow. Whatever that monster is, he hasn't seen it inside the tower before, and it doesn't look hostile.

Better to be safe than sorry, though; his hand hovers over the weapons pouch strapped to his thigh just in case. He's just going to stare for a few moments to make sure the beast isn't trying to, say, eat the kid.]

Get--oof--off me you gigantic fatty!!

[Of course he says it with as much malice as a Disney princess--wow what was the comparison.

Typhlosion snorts at his trainer and picks himself up, leaving Hibiki to get up by himself. Poor kid, he's muttering things about fat pokemon and running more often. In the midst of brushing himself off and sticking his tongue out at his companion, Hibiki finally notices the person standing not too far away.

Whoa, he looks really cool.

Quickly retracting his tongue, he straightens up and puts on his best friendly smile. Oh dear, brace yourself, Itachi.]

Hey!

[Itachi relaxes the tiniest bit when the monster turns out not to be a threat. Though he moves his hand away from his weapons pouch, he still seems a little wary.]

Hello...

[He gives Hibiki an up-and-down glance, ever-suspicious. Way to make a good impression, Itachi.]

[Kirika was wondering around the hallways as well. The best way to learn about an unfamiliar place was to observe and learn how it worked around here, anything for the matter.

When Kirika watched the paired entered, she remained silent and stared. The fire creature behind the boy caught the girl's attention. Where she came from, creatures like that didn't exist unless it was a monster. But this one was different from the ones she encountered, more friendly and was familiar with the boy. When Typholosion sent the two to the ground, the girl didn't even winced.]

Umm...

Ah.

[Eridan blinks at Hibiki, head tilting to the side. That looked more accidental than premeditated attack on the... flaming... lizard... thing's part. The Tower has taught him to be rather cautious on the whole shooting thing, given how strange and varied are lifeforms here.]

Are you alright?

Jay is typically a point a to point b person, with his major stops during the day being to the cafeteria, the library, and occasionally somewhere he can keep his fighting skills in peak condition. Due to that attitude, he didn't usually give a crap about who he passed in the hallway, outside of a glance and sometimes a noncommittal noise.

But that's for humans. The towering, flaming badger actually gave him serious pause, stopping mid-step and outright gawking.

If it was a monster, it was a horribly ineffective one- so odds were it was a pet or companion to the kid it smashed in to. That alone was enough to make him homesick- but he wasn't about to dwell on that.

"You should pay more attention to your surroundings. You never know when you could be killed."

Instead, let's dwell on 'you have a pet that could get hurt so you should stop dawdling because i am an animal person tsun tsun'.

[ ... Welp. That sure was a sight - except Urotsuki is used to weird things, so people and Pokémon alike falling down is nothing new.. except she recognizes the boy, so she walks over to him and peers down curiously. ]

Hibiki-kun..?

[Whoa, whoa, whoa. Now, Riku was just going about his own business, but the sight of that Tyhplosion immediately stops him in his tracks, and he inches closer to the duo.]

Huh. Is that like your pet?

[Well Typhlosion is technically a monster. A pocket monster.

He blinks, not used to people eying him from head to toe, but whatever! Itachi isn't a bad guy, right...]

My name's Hibiki and this is my partner, Typhlosion!

[Oh man, Typhlosion got fat. Just kidding! Or was he...he'll have to put his bud on a diet. But that's for later! Right now he has to concentrate on getting upright again and not embarrassing himself in front of that girl.

Wait.

Girl?

A-ah..hello there! [He manages to grin and wave, still on the floor and under the ginormous fire pokemon.]

[Maybe Hibiki should've kept Typhlosion in his ball. He didn't want people witnessing his embarrassing moments, but it seems too late for that now.

He looks up at the newcomer. Whoaaaa, a cape. He wonders if there was a club for people with capes, this guy is the second person he's seen with a cape! Oops opps this guy said something to him, should probably respond.]

Yuuup! I'm totally immune to this thing practically crushing me! [Typhlosion gets off of Hibiki, letting him sit up on the floor and brush himself off. And suddenly, HUGE GRIN at ERIDAN.] I'm Hibiki, by the way!

Hibiki was about to scold his Typhlosion and push him off when a voice caught his attention. Seriously, of all things people had to walk in on him on, it was this. Not a great first impression, but it's memorable, right? Back to what was said to him, Hibiki doesn't get it at first, but once the bit of dialogue sinks in, he's absolutely confused.

"Huh?"

Killed? Hibiki hasn't been in the tower for that long to know what goes on, let alone realize there are things that can end his life. The thought sends shivers down his spine as he gets up, Typhlosion already standing behind him.

"People get...people get killed?"

Well, there goes his peppy mood.

Ah! Urooootsuuki-san!

[Oh man, a familiar face!

Better stop making out with the floor, Hibiki-kun, and proper greet the girl!]

Eh? You mean this guy? [Hibiki pushes himself up and points to his Pokemon companion. Well what else would Riku be talking about? Come on Hibiki.]

Something like that, he's my partner! [And Typhlosion humphs in agreement. And breathes a bit of fire. And singes Hibiki's hat a little. Whoops.]

"Repeatedly. Violently. You come back, of course, but-"

Jay pointed (rude) at Typhlosion.

"-he may not."

Jay isn't a very kind welcome wagon, but he for sure will do his best to drive that point home if it means others will be less reckless.

"He doesn't have a collar like we do, so if anything happens to him he may die for good. You'd be wise to not take that risk." A pause, and Jay dropped his arm and shrugged. "I'm only telling you for your own benefit."

[ But she thinks the whole making out with the floor thing is pretty amusing, okay!! Even if it doesn't show much, but she's still just staring down.. .. okay, she just has to ask. ]

Um, is the floor that comfortable? [ Maybe that's why he isn't getting up yet? She actually asks it seriously, even. ]

[The creature following him was a strange enough sight to cause Mio a moment's pause. She jumps at the sudden sound of them falling to the ground. Curiosity and concern out over caution and the desire to keep away from any potential danger is pushed aside as she edges closer to the pair, hand resting on her chest, concern present on her face.]

Um...are you okay?

[First time ever seeing a fire pokemon and she is surprisingly calm. What is fear. The boy seems okay with it, and the fire pokemon doesn't seem threatening. Just to be nice, she'll just lower herself down resting both hands on her lap.

Staring at pokemon. Then to boy. Then pokemon again. Again to boy.]

...Does it hurt?

[He seems reluctant about it, but he gives his own name.]

Itachi. [And he'll go out on a limb and ask:] You're new here, aren't you?

Partner, huh?

[...Hah. Well, if he can spew flames, he'd definitely be a valuable ally.]
