What is this Halloween nonsense?

Characters: Tetra and all of you!
Setting: Oct. 12 all over the tower (you pick)
Format: Starting with prose but will switch :)
Summary: Collecting candy and complaining about being dressed as the Hero of Time.
Warnings: None yet but that might change ~~because Ganon is a jerk face~~

"Collect candy or else, blah blah blah. This is so dumb. And this costume is dumb. And too hot." Are the most common complaints that can be heard from the small blonde pirate who is dressed, not as a pirate or a princess, but in a warm green costume with tights and a belt. She's even got the hat but her hair is hanging down her back. It would probably look really dumb if she had her hair in a bun with the cap.

So she's wandering around and looking for candy, climbing things and crawling under anything including trees and tables, respectively. And maybe stopping for a break to eat some pumpkin pie.

Tohko, with Tetra's help, managed to gather up her candy. She had calmed down now..and realized that her plan to not tell Tetra was a little childish.

"That is what people normally do. I just wasn't expecting it." Tohko sighed. She then pointed at the treasure chest that was in the corner. "You know, I wonder what's in there?"

"Heehee, sorry. It wouldn't have been fun though, if I told you before, would it?" She can't help but giggle a bit more before getting up and brushing off the leggings of her costume. She glanced over towards the treasure chest and smirked.

"Whatever it is, I bet there's enough for us both~"

"That's true.." Tohko said, moving closer to the treasure chest. "I just hope that this thing doesn't have enough monsters for the both of us."

"Blegh, monsters. Let's cross our fingers there ain't nothin' in there, because I left my sword in my room." A pirate sword and a hero costume? NOPE.

Here went nothing though, as Tetra inched up to the chest and nudged it open carefully. If anything tried to jump out, she could slam the top of it down on them. That'd teach any monsters to mess with them!

"I forgot my shinai as well. I really should stop doing that." Tohko replied. After all, this place was dangerous. She couldn't just forget her weapons and expect to survive.

Tohko watched Tetra nervously as she opened the chest. She wasn't quite sure what was in it, but if it was a monster, she'd just have to beat it up with her bare hands. Or run. She hoped it was a book though..or a sword.

"So..what's in there?"

"Shinai? Never heard'a one'a them before." Sounded like a weapon and Tetra would agree that carrying a weapon would be always be a smart move in the tower. Although, Tetra hadn't died even once since coming here, despite how much mischief she got herself into.

Pushing the chest open, Tohko would be pleased with the cache. Tetra plucked out a couple of small daggers and several pieces of candy, holding them up like ~~Link does when he opens a treasure chest~~ they were prizes.

"It's a training sword made out of bamboo." Tohko explained. Sure, Tohko was a beginner at fighting, but that was no excuse for forgetting a weapon, even if there was the chance of it breaking.

Tohko looked quizzically at Tetra's way of showing off the treasure. She wasn't quite sure why Tetra was holding them like that, but she was happy that actual prizes were in the chest and not monsters.

"May I have two daggers?" Tohko asked. She probably should have only asked for one, but she had read too many stories of badass heroes that wielded two swords or daggers to only ask for one and not regret it.

It was a thing with people from her world. When you open a chest, you have to be as flamboyant as possible. That and tetra really wanted to try to go all out if she was dressed as Hyrule's legendary hero.

"Sure thing~" She tossed them over to Tohko, sheathed of course because they really couldn't afford any injuries. That would completely defeat the purpose of finding candy to avoid that 'or else' scenario.

Tohko grabbed the daggers and smiled at Tetra. "Thanks! In return, you can have the candy." Tohko looked at the daggers happily. Now she could return Saber's shinai! She had her own weapon!

"Guess that's a fair enough split of the booty~!" She was alittle worried that Tohko might need the candy but it anything happened, she'd take some of her own and slip it into the others bucket. She could be sneaky sometimes, if she needed to be. She had gotten into Forsaken Fortress and kicked Ganon in the face before he noticed she was there.

"Yup!" Tohko exclaimed happily. She had a huge urge to just take them out and swing them around, but she knew they weren't toys. If she did that, someone or something could get hurt.

"Alright..where should we look now?"

"Hmm... I dunno, probably anywhere with lots'a hard to reach places. Maybe the forest floor? They could be in birds nests'n stuff." Climbing the trees would be hard though, Tetra didn't like trees all that much after being dropped in one.

Tohko nodded. "Plus, the birds could have stolen some candies..or other things. Although..will you be alright climbing the trees?" Tohko asked. Tohko was about average in climbing trees, but she didn't want to go there if Tetra wasn't good at climbing them.

"I'll be alright. I got dropped in a tree once and fell but that was Ganondork's fault. Otherwise, I never been nowhere else that had lots'a trees till I got here." So basically, she didn't know how to climb trees. It can't be that hard, right?

"Ah, I see..well, there's a first time for everything then. Climbing a tree shouldn't be too hard for you..but who's Ganondork?" Tohko asked. She had not run into the villain, and thus, had no idea who he was.

"He's a big, smelly jerk who looks kinda like a pig. Really hard t'miss. And he's evil, so try not t'do nothin' that would make him mad." And to add insult to injury for him, Tetra puffs herself up and then laughs heartily. It was easy to laugh at him when he wasn't hurting people.

"So, to the trees then?"

"I see. I'll try to stay out of his way then. Unless he's bothering me." In that situation, Tohko would have to bother him. There would be no other way around that. Tohko smiled at Tetra's laughing and then nodded.

"To the trees!" She cried, and started to run off.

Tetra ran off after Tohko to one of the trees nearest them. At the bottom of the tree, she just looked up it thoughtfully and tried to think of how she was going to get up there. Living on the sea all your life made it hard to learn how to climb trees.

Tohko looked at the trees, thinking of which one to climb first, when she spotting Tetra staring at a few trees, as if they were going to attack her. Tohko decided to help by giving some pointers.

"To climb a tree, you first have to find a foothole-" Tohko started, putting her foot into a small hole near a tree's base. "-and climb up!" Using her arms and legs, Tohko climbed up the tree, and even though she was panting, she managed to sit on a top branch. "Now, you try!"

Back on the Great Sea, Tetra wouldn't have been surprised if a tree had attacked her. Ganon had turned animals mean and put bokoblins and other nasty things on the islands and the sea too. She had to try though.

Following Tohko's instructions, Tetra tried to climb. A couple times she slipped and almost fell but she was able to grab onto something and pull herself up. Her lack of experience is obvious but hey! She didn't fall and kill herself and she eventually joins Tohko near the top.

"That wasn't too bad."

Tohko grinned at Tetra when she finally got to the top of the tree. "Nope. You see, it's not that hard. A bit of practice, and you'll get the hang of it." Tohko then scanned the trees and the area below for any treasure. "See anything?"

"Got plenty of time to practice. Nothin' but time."

She takes a hold of another branch and stands, looking around as far as she could until she spotted a birds nest in a nearby tree. They could probably jump over to it but she wasn't sure it was worth the risk when they could just climb down and back up the other.

"I see a bird nest. That might have some candy in it!"

"Ah! You're right! I see it too!" Tohko, who was okay at climbing trees, but not jumping from them, carefully climbed down, ran to the other tree, and started climbing it.

Tetra climbed down more slowly, and carefully, unlike Tohko. She wasn't in any rush right now, no one else had spotted it so they had time to get over there. By the time Tohko would be half way up that tree, Tetra is only just reaches halfway down the other.

Climbing down is a lot harder than up, she's learning.

Tohko looked back to see how Tetra was doing and chuckled a little. She was halfway up the tree, but she waited for Tetra to climb all the way down. Tetra was discovering that going down was a lot harder than going up.

"Don't worry! You'll get the hang of it eventually!" Tohko cried.
