Setting: October 12th evening, starting around room 3-15.
Format: Action, but I'll match you.
Summary: A very confused seven year old arrives at the Tower, and wonders why she's dressed up as her favorite character. ~~Does she need to hunt down onii-chan again?~~
Warnings: Gratuitous amounts of cute, and an over protective big brother.

[She could just barely make heads or tails of the note that had been left for her, and it did nothing to alleviate the confusion that was running through Nanako's head at the moment. All she had done was go to bed, slipping the picture of her, her father, and her brother under her pillow so that she could sleep better knowing that his image was close to her at least. Next, she was waking up in a strange bed in a strange place, dressed in her makeshift Loveline costume she had used to try and hunt her brother down over the summer past.]

[When she could finally move again she slid off the bed, clutching her toy mirror close to her chest. The last time she had appeared some place strange, it... hadn't ended well at all, and all she could think about was that terrifying man, and... Nanako swallowed back the fear that memory brought, steeling herself as she approached the door to leave the room, poking her head out into the corridor beyond before emerging. She had to be brave... her brother would want her to be brave right now, right?]

Onii-chan...

[...she wished he was here, because there was no way she could not be scared right now.]

[Sugar-coating words isn't something he's good at. But at least she'll get honesty, though it may not be very reassuring.]

Well, you don't want to go out too late at night if you don't have to. The monsters are out at night.

You're new here, aren't you?

[...monsters? Nanako let out a worried noise, eyes wide as she pressed herself a little closer to the door. She let out a faint nod at his question, though she would have much rather jumped back into bed and hoped that falling asleep again would take her back to her bedroom in Inaba.]

[He smiles gently and kneels down to be less intimidating. Though brief, he used to be a big brother himself. It is scary, but...]

Well, you're in luck. A bunch of us here are pretty darn good about fighting monsters. You just have to be careful, that's all.

[His smile turns more confident, and he hits his palm with his fist.]

I'm Akihiko. I can show you around if you want.

[Nanako paused, uncertain. He... didn't seem that bad, and he looked a lot like her brother. Would it be okay to trust this guy?]

[...and it was weird, but he kind of reminded her of Chie as well. After a moment, she pulled herself away from the door, clutching her spyglass to her chest as she nodded.]

...Nanako. I'm Nanako.

Nice to meet you Nanako.

[Intros are a good first step.

Maybe a change of subject is a good idea right now. He knows there are a lot of people in costume right now, but Nanako's new and he's not sure if that's her usual garb. He has a slight hunch she might not be by the watch she hugs her spyglass against her.]

So are you a detective?

[Nanako looked down at her makeshift costume again, before smiling a bit shyly. She raised her spyglass, striking a pose, her thumb over the button that would make the toy talk.]

I'm Witch Detective Loveline!

[She pressed the button, and...]

I'll fill you full of holes!

[Nanako frowned at the spyglass; it never said what she wanted it to say...]

[Akihiko chuckles warmly. It seems like she's loosening up a little, which is good.]

A witch detective, huh?

Mmhmm...

[She was back to clutching the spyglass to her chest.]

She solves cases with the power of magic.

Magic, huh? [Definitely a useful thing to have here.

That means it's a costume. And from what he's learned, the costumers are on the hunt for candy. He's picked up quite a few pieces fighting monsters on the forest floor.

He pulls them out of his pocket, then looks down at Nanako. He didn't get one of those notes, so maybe he won't need them. He wasn't a fan of candy anyway.]

Here. Hang on to these.

[She accepted the candy with both hands, staring down at them in surprise. She... wasn't sure how to feel about a stranger giving her candy in a place like this...]

...I shouldn't accept candy from strangers.

[What a good kid. But still...]

Just hang on to them, just in case. You might need them.

[...well, if he was telling her just to hang on to them, not eat them, then she guessed that would be okay. After a moment she gave a nod, slipping the candy into her pocket.]

[He smiles, reassured that she's accepted the sweets.] If you end up not needing them, you can give them to someone who does.
