Characters: Nanako Dojima and you!
Setting: October 12th evening, starting around room 3-15.
Format: Action, but I'll match you.
Summary: A very confused seven year old arrives at the Tower, and wonders why she's dressed up as her favorite character. Does she need to hunt down onii-chan again?
Warnings: Gratuitous amounts of cute, and an over protective big brother.

[She could just barely make heads or tails of the note that had been left for her, and it did nothing to alleviate the confusion that was running through Nanako's head at the moment. All she had done was go to bed, slipping the picture of her, her father, and her brother under her pillow so that she could sleep better knowing that his image was close to her at least. Next, she was waking up in a strange bed in a strange place, dressed in her makeshift Loveline costume she had used to try and hunt her brother down over the summer past.]

[When she could finally move again she slid off the bed, clutching her toy mirror close to her chest. The last time she had appeared some place strange, it... hadn't ended well at all, and all she could think about was that terrifying man, and... Nanako swallowed back the fear that memory brought, steeling herself as she approached the door to leave the room, poking her head out into the corridor beyond before emerging. She had to be brave... her brother would want her to be brave right now, right?]

Onii-chan...

[...she wished he was here, because there was no way she could not be scared right now.]

[Nanako beamed at the little play acting, raising her toy spy glass in a dramatic pose.]

Of course! Loveline is out to solve the mystery of the strange tower!

He's the culprit!

[Nanako let out an exasperated noise; this toy never said what she wanted it to...]

That sounds like a really good one! With Loveline on the job, I'm sure it'll be solved in no time!

[Improvisation skillz are put to fairly good use here, as Rise tries to figure out how much Nanako knows and who she's met without quitting the play acting just yet.]

So did you already solve the Finding Onii-chan Caper and the Case of the Candy Collecting?

[Yeah, that sounds a little clunky, but bad not enough to ruin the game, right?]

[Nanako lowered her spyglass, a smile on her face as she remembered her time with her brother before.]

Mmhmm~ Onii-chan is doing okay. So are all of his head friends.

[She of course means Yu's many Personae (though she had only really met and interacted with Kohryu).]

[Rise relaxed a considerable amount--if Nanako had been with Yu, then she'd definitely already eaten her oatmeal and been told which places were safe and which were dangerous. There was no way on ANY earth that Yu hadn't done everything he possible could to make sure Nanako would be safe, even if he wasn't there with her 24/7. Nana-chan was pretty mature for her age, anyway; she seemed to do a pretty good job of looking out for herself back home.]

Wow, pretty impressive! You solved both those cases in just...well, how long have you been here, Loveline?

[Oooh, she was gonna throw a fit if Nanako-chan had been here this whole time and Kanzeon's scan hadn't picked up on her!]

[Nanako paused, a finger going to her chin to thing.]

An hour?

Even more impressive! Truly, you would make a most worthy rival...

[She adds a bit of a theatrical purr to her voice, mimicking but not quite copying the voice of one of the female villains on the Magical Detective Loveline TV show.]

...Hmm...that case you mentioned wanting to solve, the mystery of the strange tower? That's a really good mystery to pick...

[Her smile is wide, her eyes dancing with mischief as she leeeans in just a little closer to Nanako, dropping her voice to a stage whisper.]

...But I think there's another mystery you should solve first: the mystery of the stolen hair-ribbon!

[And aw yis, Rise's suddenly got one of those cute yellow ribbons decorating Nanako's pigtails in her hand. She gives a toothy "villain's" grin (and she's dressed for the part, she has to admit), waves the bit of cloth triumphantly, and dashes off down the hall, her "evil laughter" quickly giving over to straight-up giggling.]

[She's not worried about running into any danger here--they're still on the dormitory levels, which Yu had said were safe, so there's nothing wrong with having some fun! It's been a while since she last got to play with Nanako-chan, and there's no time like the present!]

Ah...!

[Nanako's hand went to her hair, feeling it was indeed loose. She struck a dramatic pose, pointing her spyglass at Rise.]

Unhand my ribbon, Feisty Devil!

Want me to fill you full of holes!?

[ARGH this toy! She didn't want to fill Rise full of holes!]

[Rise stopped just long enough to strike a pose of her own, this time semi-copying one of the villains from Phoenix Ranger Featherman R.]

Hoho~! You'll have to catch me first, Loveline~!

[She turned to start running again, and...it hasn't even been a full minute since she snatched it, but just as she'd expected, the ribbon suddenly disappeared from her hand. A quick glance back over her shoulder showed that it had reappeared on Nanako's pigtail; however, the younger girl probably didn't know about that particular trick of the Tower, so Rise kept pretending she still had it.]

Catch me if you can~

[She didn't want to run too far, so when the nameplate beside one of the doors caught her eye--Nanako's name--Rise darted inside that room, leaving the door open behind her. She figured probably had about five seconds before Nanako caught up with her.]

[NOW! The age-old question: was it better to hide behind the door, or under the bed? There was no closet, so...]


[When Nanako enters the room, she'll find a very suspicious blanket-covered lump at the foot of her bed, mostly hidden behind the wooden chest. The, uh, devil wings sticking out from the sides of the blanket are kinda a give-away though.]

[Oh no she didn't...! Of course, Nanako didn't notice the ribbon returning to her hair; instead she let out a determined noise, shooting forward after her. She pursued her all the way to her dorm room, stopping when she saw the lump...]

[Really, Rise? Really?]

[Still, she played along, letting out a faint noise as she crept over to that devil winged lump.]

Let's see... Where did that Fiesty Devil go...

[She paused at the bed, before grabbing the blanket and throwing it off.]

Ah ha!

[JUST AS PLANNED! As soon as Nanako pulls away the blanket, Rise swings at her (not too hard, of course) with a pillow swiped from another of the beds! >D]

Ohoho~ You've fallen right into my dastardly trap, Loveline! Take this!

[If she'd had more time, or a way to take the wings off her outfit, she could've managed a better "trap", but eh, what can ya do?]

[Nanako let out a delighted squeal, ducking to the side just as she was hit. She retreated, going for her own pillow to defend herself.]

That was sneaky, Feisty Devil! I'll show you the power of magic!

[...well, magic pillow... whichever.]

[In a flash, Rise is on her feet, and GLORIOUS BATTLE IS JOINED]

Hoho~ You're one hundred years too early to challenge me!

[But for all her talk, and while Rise's putting on a good show of "fighting" her hardest, somehow Nanako is definitely still slightly winning..]

[Nanako jumped back, raising her spyglass dramatically.]

I can see your weakness, Feisty Devil!

[With that declaration, she swung her pillow... unfortunately, she also lost her grip on it. Duck, Rise...!]

[N O P E, no ducking here--Rise takes it right in the face, and promptly collapses overdramatically, arms flailing a bit as she falls backwards onto Nanako's bed.]

Nooooo, not the face! Curses! How did you know that was my weak point?

[See, Yu was just going to pop in and say hello again when he heard the telltale signs of someone being overdramatic again (what, he joined the drama club it's second-nature!). Naturally, he was going to check it out when he saw what was... going...

That is far too cute, but before he can get roped into this madness (WHAT IS WITH THESE BOOOOOOTS), he makes like Homer Simpson Rise at the group date cafe and backs up into the bushes out of the doorway and breaks right.

EXIT, STAGE LEFT...]

[Oh no! She so didn't mean to peg Rise in the face! Nanako ran over to her, missing her brother hanging out in the doorway for the moment, just to make sure she was okay.]

Rise-chan! Are you okay?! I'm so sorry!

[...WHOOPS, she hadn't taken that possible reaction into account when she let herself get hit in the face. 8|; She didn't want Nanako-chan to worry...but she was having too much fun and truth be told, was getting into the part just a little too much, SHE DIDN'T EVER REALLY GET TO DO THIS KINDA THING AS A KID, K, so...she broke character just long enough to give Nanako another reassuring wink, then it was back to the dramatics!]

Ohhhh~ you may have won this round, Loveline, but I'll never confess! And as for your ribbon--

[She moved the hand that had held the ribbon quickly, her fist nothing but a blur, then snapped her wrist and held up her open--and empty!--hand 8O]

Hoho~! See? I'll take the secret of where I've hidden the stolen magical ribbon to the grave!

[Oh good, Rise was actually okay. Nanako let out a breath; she really was an amazing actress! She was already back in character, and... oh no! Did she make her ribbon disappear? Where could it have gone? Was it hiding in the meat dimension? Oh...!]

Y-you Feisty Devil! With my magic, I'll be able to see the truth!

[And she peeeeeered close to that hand with her spyglass. How... did she get it to go away like that...?]

LOL meat dimension X'D + my only excuse for this tag is...uh...reasons?

No fair, using your magic on me like that!

[Rise pretended to struggle with herself, as if she was trying to keep that hand Nanako examined from moving--but no, she lost the battle! And now she's pointing...right at Nanako. The idol also seemed to be fighting in a similar fashion to keep her mouth closed, but noooo Loveline's Magical Truth Charm was just too strong, forcing her to give the Magical Detective a clue!]

[Nanako's eyes went wide, her hand flying to her hair, where the ribbon had been the whole time.]

Hair!

[She grinned, pointing her spyglass at her.]

[Rise recoiled, clapping her hands over her face and twisting away, as if Nanako was using one of Loveline's ~magical attacks~ on her.]

Noooo! I'll get you for this, Loveliiiiine!

[lol Or not. With another intentionally silly little growl-y noise, and some equally-silly grabby-hands in Nanako's general direction, Rise flopped backwards on the bed (again) and went still. ...It...it was really hard not to smile...but she had to keep a straight face for the moment...]

[...oh, welp. Looks like she really got her. Nanako twirled around, holding her spyglass up in a victory pose... before giggling as she jumped onto the bed after Rise, giving her a tight hug.]

[At that, Rise couldn't keep a straight face any more, and gave in to the giggles as well, hugging Nanako back...at least, at first it was hugs. Pretty soon, it switched over to a tickle attack. >D]

[Nanako let out a squeal of surprise, falling back on the bed and flailing as she was tickled. Oh no, her weakness!]
