Characters: "Elvenking" Legolas and YOU, tower!
Setting: Backdated to Oct. 11, throughout the tower (just pick anywhere)
Format: Prose to start but will switch
Summary: Legolas woke up dressed as his father, King Thranduil. Including the crown.
Warnings: Nothing but possible mischief

When the prince had awoken this morning, he was dressed in the slightly confining clothes of a figure he knew quite well, one he had known for a few thousand years, in fact. He attempted to remove them but that moment he shifted his attention to take his own clothes, the costume was on his once more, crown included. The type of crown he'd always refused to wear when at home, opting for a more traditional silver circlet.

Well, this was a battle he wouldn't win so he grabbed his swords and strapped them on to go with his costume and grabbed the ridiculous little bucket, looking at it with obvious distaste and went to scour the tower for candy. None of which he would eat because, wow, what the hell were those things? Nothing like that was in Middle Earth and he's not about to try one.

Taiki smiled, he often ran into trouble with being so small, it was nice to know Legolas didn't think it was important. "We can share! Sanshi and Gohran have been looking as well! So has Lord Gyousou even though he doesn't have a costume."

It helped that Legolas knew two Hobbits that had more-or-less saved all of Arda on their own. And Taiki was about Hobbit-sized. So you never knew who could surprise you.

"Very well then." He smiles, glad to see Taiki isn't too concerned but Legolas is and he'd be sure to protect Taiki.

Taiki gave a nervous smile and nodded. "Let's see if we can find any..." This floor was big so there was sure to be somewhere...

"I'm sure we'll find all we need. Have you checked all the foliage for any that might have been carried off by animals? Doubtless some wouldd have thought it interesting to burrow away."

And he'd even remove any carefully as can be, to spare Taiki any upset at the animals being hurt. So long as they weren't rabid or dangerous. Then making sure it didn't attack either of them would be more important.

"Not yet!" He smiled and nodded, that was a really good idea. He began making his way over there, Gohran; still in puppy form went first, to check for danger. Taiki began carefully to look through the grass and plants.

After a bit of searching he found two pieces of candy. "Found some... here..." He handed a piece to Legolas and dropped one into his own bucket.

"Excellently done, Taiki~" He looked around for any burrows from rabbits or a fox perhaps, thinking that they'd have likely taken it under ground. The first couple of holes he found produced no results, unfortunately but there were sure to be more.

Taiki glowed at the praise and bounced off to find some more. "This is a good idea," he told Legolas with a smile before crawling under another bush behind Gohran.

Legolas followed him after a moment, parting the bush so that Taiki wouldn't get caught on anything or get cut. Although, his costume looked as though it would provide adequate protection against the branches.

Taiki smiled at him in thanks, his costume was quite thick but he was happy that Legolas was helping him; since any small cut to him caused blood sickness.

"I haven't seen Haldir... is he in a costume too?"

This was something Legolas still hadn't learned. Once he did, he'd ensure that Taiki was always safe of any injury. Even if the prince had to make Taiki's protection one of his top priorities.

"I saw him when I first ventured out to collect. He is in costume, a resplendent red garment."

Taiki hadn't found any more candy, he wriggled out again and looked around for another place to look. "Oh... I will keep a lookout for him..." Because he might need help to, though Taiki thought Haldir would be capable of collecting candy.

"I'm sure he'd be glad to see you. He's quite fond of you, I've noticed." Once Taiki is safely out of the bush, Legolas lets go and watches it fall back into its normal shape. He was sure Haldir would probably help Taiki collect as well.

"He is?" Taiki sounded sincerely surprised, he tended to think he annoyed anyone he spoke to, and did not think anyone would be glad to see him... Except Lord Gyousou but that was different and Taiki still felt that he annoyed his king most days too.

"I like him too, he is a very kind person."

That surprise from Taiki is actually very surprising to Legolas. How could he have not thought or known that some people might have grown fond of him?

"So he is. You are as well. It's no wonder there's a fondness he has for you."

Taiki blushed, he wasn't used to being complimented and it made him feel awkward. "You're kind too Legolas, I think Haldir thinks so too... sorry... even if he doesn't like admitting it..."

"He has trouble admitting many things but I would think it obvious. And you still needn't apologize for anything." He makes sure that his voice stays soft and lighthearted because, really, making Taiki feel awkward was the last thing he ever wanted to do.

"Oh... sor... I mean..." He shuffled his feet awkwardly, feeling bad about apologising when he had been asked not to. "I can try and find more candy..."

"We can search more though I know not how much more we'll find here. It seems too predictable for much of it to be hidden here. what other floors have you searched?" He hadn't searched other floor very thoroughly yet, to be honest. Perhaps Taiki had.

"I looked in the cafeteria... and the library..." He had been trying to stick to the safer floors, "Maybe the forest has some..."

"It likely will. Shall we go that way?" Safe or not, while he was with Legolas, Taiki would come to no harm. The prince was willing to protect him from whatever might come their way.

Taiki paused, unsure of himself since Legolas was asking for his opinion. "Um... if you want to..."

Legolas gave a small, mildly amused smile and kneeled down to Taiki's height. Lightly setting a hand on his shoulder, Legolas spoke softly.

"I want to know if you want to go to search the forest though."

Taiki blinked at him, wondering why this was so important to Legolas and feeling awkward and upset because he didn't know what Legolas wanted from him. "I do... There might be more there... if it's okay..."
