towerofanimus | Sweet-hunting!

Summary: Colette hunts for candy to give to other people!
Warnings: None so far!

[Having heard about the Halloween event, Colette was looking for whatever sweets she could find. While she was not forced to wear a costume and therefore not in danger of suffocation, she could felt horrible at what was going on and decided to see if she could help!]

Floor Three

[Here, you can see Colette searching the library, taking books and putting them back to check for sweets. Thankfully, she is not making a mess of them like she did last time!]

Floor Six

[A forest...? There was a forest in the tower? Weird.

Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any sweets around, does it?

Colette unleashes her wings and tries to fly to the top. While she is not exactly comfortable about using her wings for no good reason – they made her feel like she was a freak – it is possible that there could be sweets hidden up in the branches and flying up there would make it easier, right?

So you’ll see a blond girl pink with transparent wings, floating right above you and glancing at one of the branches. ]

Hmm.....nope.

[She turns around to glance at the rest of the forest]...Maybe the other trees have some?

Floor Thirteen

[Is this.....a chapel of some sort? The only religion Colette knows of is the Church of Martel back home. After all, she was supposedly the person who was supposed to ‘wake up’ the goddess Martel.

Not that any of the architecture here looks much like anything in church back home.

And the mumbling at the front.....she could swear it was coming at the front of the church but could not hear a thing when she actually approached the front!

Weird.]

[Mr. Walker is staring upwards at the statue of the revered figure, now since missing its upper half.]

[Deftly, he places his hand on the left leg of the statue. Thoughts bubble and bobble inside his head.]

[Lost in thought, he hasn't noticed anyone has walked in. It's difficult to hear anythig at all, however. The air seems so...stiff]

[ Cindy is trying to scour a good encyclopedia (she needs to know as much as she can about this creepy place) when she hears Colette. She frowns and shuts her tome, remembering to dog-ear her reading spot right before. She puts the book aside and gets up, following the noise.

She really didn't expect to see such an adorable looking girl. And gathering...candy? ]

Is this some kind of scavenger hunt?

[Wait....she saw that man a few days ago. Colette walks up to him] Hi! [If she scares you Allen, she didn't mean it]

Huh? [Turns her head] Oh, um - sort of! I'm trying to help all the people who need to collect candy!

[Wriggle, unfortunately had been forced to wear one of the costumes and was frantically tearing though the forest looking for any signs of the much sought after candy. She only needed two more pieces but her costume was already starting to get uncomfortably tight. The once flowing robes had become stationary and the cape was starting to squeeze on her neck. From Colette's point of view, a figure dressed in black shoots up from the top of the trees before diving back in again. Some more rustling and then finally...]

Ah ha!

[He turns his head across to see Ms. Brunel.]

Oh, it's you. [Hey Allen...did you guys ever, you know.....introduce yourselves?] Seems we meet again.

I'm sorry, I don't think I told you my name when we first met. You can call me Allen. Allen Walker.

{His clown mask is visibly attached to his belt.]

[ Cindy puts her hands on her hips. She quirks a brow up. ] Need?

It's okay, Allen! I probably should have told you mine. You can call me Colette!

Yeah....did you hear? The people who run this tower are apparently telling people in costumes to collect candy or they'll die. I have to help them!

[Riku is hunting for monsters... or well, monsters that leave sweets - and what floor better to hunt at than the one that comes with its own brand of them. He is alert and ready, hand tight around Way to the Dawn as he keeps going further.

He blinks up when he sees that girl floating in the open, frowning.]

What are you doing up there?

_{[Sitting in one of the furthest corner pews is Sayaka, with her face buried in her hands as if she's either suffering from a huge headache or an awful epiphany. It might be both.

The murmuring that pervades the ears from this far back from the altar is nearly a balm for the million other tiny voices all a clamor in the peripheral of her perceptions, seeking supplication that's impossible for her to grant. The chapel's ambiance of wordless droning overlaps the noise just enough for her to pretend that it's all abated, for at least a moment or so.

The moment is up when she hears someone's noisy steps clack clack clacking over the polished floor. Sayaka stares up at Colette through the gaps between the fingers splayed over her face. Don't they know this is a sanctuary..?]}

Stop that. Stop pacing around and just sit down if you're visiting. That's what the seats are for.

Huh? What was...? Oh! [Did that girl do what Colette thinks she just did? W-wow!]

Hmmm? [She looks down and realises that she is not alone.] Oh, hello! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there.

Are you looking for candy, too? [Now that she thinks of it, this boy looks a weee bit like that other boy she met in the cafeteria the other day.

....Nah. He looks older. Unless they're brothers. Or he found some magic food that made him grow taller.]

Oh no, I'm sorry - I didn't realise I was making so much noise!

[Just one more piece and that would be it. Even against the tightness of her costume Wriggle was starting to feel a lot more confident. Looking around it was hard to see any that might be scattered around. To any insects she came across she seemed to whisper something inaudible to them before they both went their separate ways.

Drifting a bit more in Colette's direction she finally noticed her and with a shout and a wave she tried to get her attention]

Hey! Do you have any sweets to spare?

Huh? Um....no, not the moment, I'm afraid. I will give some to you if I find any, though!

[Grumbling, Wriggle looked back at the forest. Slightly she tugged at the collar, hoping to alleviate some of the pressure but no luck]

Then you should help me look. The more eyes the better.

[Colette gasps when she sees Wriggle tug at the collar] Oh, no - hold on! [And she floats off to the next tree to have a look. Care to follow her?]

[Wriggle follows her. Even though she was told to hold on she can't help but be curious. It's hard for her to stay still for too long]

[She goes up the branches. A few seconds, and...] Oh, look! I think I've found one!

Gimme!

[Wriggle snatches the candy from her hand and dives down to the ground where a small plastic pumpkin rests at the base of a tree, next to a toy scythe and a skull mask. She throws it into the pumpkin and her costume instantly loosens. The robes begin to flow again and she lets out a satisfied sigh. With no sense of danger she picks up the scythe and puts on the mask again. Heading back to Colette it might be hard to see under the mask but she's really smiling]

Thanks a lot! You really saved me!

Costumes. Killing us?

....You haven't heard? Some of the people here are dressed in costumes and have to collect candy. If they don't collect enough, they will be killed!

Oh no, it's okay. The important thing is that you're now safe.

Glad it came to this.

[He looks around.] I'd be careful from now on, though. The monsters around here get terrible when it gets closer to whatever is considered a night. [He feels a part of his shoulder.]
