Characters: Rose Egbert and all her little victims.
Setting: All around the Tower, forward dated to between the 22nd and the 27th
Format: Prose to start, but either is accepted.
Summary: Puzzle murders here, puzzle murders there. Nobody is escaping without at least getting maimed. Threads will start being added for each puzzle after the 22nd.

Dormitory 5-20 - 27th Afternoon - David Lalonde

This one would be her favorite yet, she was sure. It had taken a little more work than some of the others - where do you even find a rack in a tower? Actually, she was sure if she had looked harder she could probably have done that - but once it was ready she knew it would be worth it.

Jade was first. She had to be attached to the rack, so she had to be hunted down. By now this was little challenge having done it twice previously, though it was difficult getting her chained in all by herself. Magic only helps so much.

David was after that. There was nothing really special that had to happen with him. He was chained to the floor, just out of reach of Jade, so that he couldn't get up and simply let her free. He was chained by his neck and ankles, leaving him in a kneeling position with his arms completely free.

The door was closed and she stood nearby, a scalpel in one hand.

"David~ Jade~ Wake up you two!"

Two days running? Really?

He surveys his surroundings, giving his chains an experimental tug. No dice. Of course.

Rage and fear and a whole lot of other shit bubbles up within him, but damn if he's going to let the fear show. Rage? He can do rage. He can do rage just fine.

"Two days in a row, sister mine? I'm almost touched."

You'd think one day Jade would develop an immunity to Rose's Magical Knock Out... magic, but today was certainly not that day.

Groggy once again, yes, but unlike David, there was no fear for her to feel! She was stuck once again in the villain's trap, but that was no reason to get discouraged. She had to escape and save people! Before Rose got to even more innocents!

"Speak for yourself, wretch--" yeah she sure did just call David a wretch-- "this is the third time I've had to deal with this scoundrel you call a sister."

She yanked at the bonds with her one good hand, but of course, nothing doing. "Let me go, damnit!! I've had enough of this!"

"You should be! Though the first one wasn't meant for you, David. This one, however, very much is." A pleasant smile being directed in Jade's direction. "Wretch? That's a little harsh, isn't it?"

Oh. Was that a wince at the wretch comment? Maybe. "My. And to what do I owe the pleasure?" The tone is particularly icy, and his expression isn't making any secret of his take on the situation either.

Both of their reactions to the wretch comment mostly flew over her heard; she thought it was a perfectly normal thing to say, after all.

"It's accurate, isn't it?" She seemed much more preoccupied with trying to get her hand out of this goddamn rack. "I'm absolutely fed up with dealing with the likes of all of you!"

"Well I don't know if he's a wretch. I find myself rather fond of him really, but that's your opinion I guess!" Laughing at her struggling, she moves to stand between them.

"And since you asked so nicely, David, I'll happily explain. From what I can tell, you've been suppressing how you feel about Jade for a while now, and that really isn't healthy!" Now she sits down, crossing her legs with a bright smile on her face. "So I hope to fix that! And we're going to do that by playing a game."

His gaze snaps back to Rose, trying to present seething RIGHTEOUS ANGER!!!! and quash the bewilderment and fear that was seeping in. Not as easy as it should be.

"Forcing normal communication is always a nice place to start for a goal such as that, is it not? Though in any case, I'm afraid that I haven't the slightest goddamned inkling of what you're talking about." A blatant lie, and he knows she knows it. "Now, if you would be so kind as to fucking unchain us!" He knows it won't work.

"To each his own then," She said with a scoff, her eyes following Rose's position as she finally gave up struggling against the wrack for now.

"He's right though; I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about either, and sooner or later we will get out of these and I will stop you."

It's a good thing she's too busy demonizing Rose right now, or else she'd probably still have some not so nice words for David too.
