Summary: Sion looking at a few of the floors along with spending way to much time in the research lab.
Warnings: None so far

Floor 25

[ After a few days of figuring out which floors were safe to venture on Sion is relaxing a little on floor 25 since it offered nice weather and a little bit of color compared to the rest of the tower. Plus after the whole candy thing relaxing was a good thing to do. ]

Floor 27

[ There was nothing like being able to use a lab again, compared to the one she had under the mansion this was well stocked and far better than what ever she managed to get her hands on while in Japan. Though there was the problem of what all the materials in the lab did since none of the chemicals were lined up differently then what she was used to. Never the less it was more than enough to allow her to continue her research for once. ]

Floor 28

[ Even though Sion didn't play an instrument she still wanted to take a look at the room since odds are Ries would want to go sometime in order to preform. Plus it was important to get a good look at what the tower offered to do for those who had free time anyway. ]

... I'm sorry to hear that. Are they okay now...?

They're fine now, though I'm more interested in how things work here. They were hurt during what happened near Halloween but managed to come back unharmed after "dieing".

... Oh. I'm still confused over that, as well, so I don't think I can help you much... all I can do is guess that maybe whoever it is that's bringing us back patches us up as well?

Do you know anyone that might be able to provide information about it? As much as I would like to test things out myself I rather not this time around.

Sorry, I don't really know anyone specifically who could help you with that. But maybe you could use the network and ask the people who have been here longer? They might know something you and I don't.

You mean those stations that are set up correct? [ She hasn't really bothered to try them out yet. ]

[She nods.] Yeah. They seem pretty helpful when you're trying to ask for advice or help, or just to talk, I guess... it's definitely less weird than going around and approaching random strangers and asking them questions.

I will have to give that method a shot, though asking around or doing first hand research is how I normally go about doing things.

Oh... [Huh. Interesting.] Are you some kind of investigator? Or a researcher?

Researching is just part of being an alchemist, along with investigating things.

[Oh, that causes her to perk up a bit.]

An alchemist? [Just like....]

It's quite rude of me to not give my name this far in to our conversation, I am Sion Eltnam Atlasia. As stated before I am an alchemist of Atlas, though titles are quite meaningless at this point given where we are currently.

[A look of shock crosses the girl's face - not just a mild one. What Sion had said hit her hard, pulling out memories both painful and precious all at once.]

You... you're a member of Atlas? [Sion may think the titles are meaningless, but that couldn't be further from the truth with Hakuno. She finally found a connection to someone she knows, and she won't be letting go that easily!] Then you must know Rani! Rani VIII!

[ Even though Sion was high ranking within Atlas she had never heard of that name before. Even if it was someone within the ranks of Atlas odds are Sion wouldn't have run in to them unless they were directly under her work wise. ]

I'm sorry to say I haven't heard of that name before. It's been a very long time since I have been back to Atlas if your friend was there within the last few years I wouldn't have met them.

... Oh. [She deflates a little at that. Honestly, she wasn't sure what she was going to do even if the other girl said that she knew Rani. Asking about her wouldn't really help much... she was gone. Killed, thanks to her orders.

Maybe it's good that Sion doesn't know about her. Continually bringing Rani up will only hurt more and more.]

It's okay. I'm not sure when she was last there... [She never really got close enough to ask about the homunculus's life. Another regret.] But... she's not there anymore. Hasn't been, for a while. So I guess there's no way you would have known her.

If you know of anything else that might be able to describe this person more or anything else then maybe I could figure something out for you? Those the chances of me knowing something is quite low if it will help with your questions then it is worth a shot.

[Well, it couldn't hurt, right...?]

She has purple hair... kind of like yours. And dark skin too... I think she was Egyptian. [She certainly had the exotic look of someone from that area, at least. And that food she cooked...] And...

[She can remember that time, just after her fight with Caster, when she had interrupted Rin and Rani's fight...] She's not human, either. She said she was a... homunculus?

[ Egyptian would fit the bill of quite a few people at Atlas but it was still a start. ]

If she was a homunculus then she wouldn't be a student. [ Because she would have been the by product of someone's experiment or just something another group may have given them for testing. ]

[Oh, so Atlas is some sort of school? She just thought it was some research facility.]

I think she might have been a student? Or... something similar, at least. She mentioned that she was on orders from her "professor" to check things out... but I never really talked to her about that.

[Never really got a chance to... just another thing to add to her list of regrets.]

[ Atlas is a whole bunch of things, a school, research facility, library it's the hub of smart people in the Mages Association. ]

If you could provide a name of this "professor" then I'd most likely be able to pinpoint something. I knew all of the staff at Atlas and had enough pull over them to know if they were up to anything.

Sorry, I don't have a name... I never really got a chance to talk to her about more personal things before we... [No, she can't say fought.] were separated. I think it might have been a man, though....? Not that something vague like that could be of too much help.

I'm sorry I can't really help, even with the information you have given me I can't come up with anything that would be helpful to you. [ If it were just a little more detailed she would be able to limit the list of people it could be. ]

[Hakuno shakes her head.] No, it's fine. I know that information is a pretty vague thing to go on... I'm not too upset.

[She smiles, then.] Even if you have no connection to her, it's... still nice, I guess. Getting to meet someone who was a part of the same organization that she was.

I'm glad I could at least give you some information, even if it was just extremely basic things. [ It was better than nothing at least. ]

If you need anything else feel free to ask, I'm sure I could explain things related to Atlas that your friend might have told you.

I am a little curious, I guess... she would only ever mention what her professor was asking her to do. To gather information, so I guess he was interested in the Moon Cell and the war... but I'm guessing that Atlas is interested in other things, and not just that.
