Characters: Darkra and YOU!
Setting: Media floor!
Format: Commentspam, pls
Summary: Nothing much, just a light-hearted log of playing video games! And Darkra sucking at them, like usual.
Warnings: None!
So, Quiet Knoll. We meet again.
[Sora has been playing video games occasionally now that his mood is better. And this time, he's playing the sequel to the game he's already beaten: Quiet Knoll 2. ...And he's sucking just as badly as he did before, but he doesn't seem to care.Though this may be because he's an idiot and tried to take on a game on Hard mode while he was rusty. He'll have fun either way, bashing monsters with rusty pipes while looking for his character's supposedly dead husband. He's not gotten very far in the game, and in fact, he seems totally lost. But he is still staring intently at the screen!]

Take a left, I think there's a key at the end of the hallway. Watch out for monsters, though.

[He hadn't thought about going down this hallway. It had looked so unremarkable. He should know better, though. Thankfully, monsters aren't yet plentiful, so the pipe does more than enough bandage. Sure enough, though, there's a key at the end of the hall--the very key he's looking for.]
...Thanks. I probably would have missed that.

[He grins a little, and settles down in a nearby chair.]
You don't mind if I watch, do you?
no subject
[He's taking note about the hallway thing, though. Maybe exploring every corner ever is a good idea after all.]

[...The three creatures returning with renewed interest don't count. A Shadow will squirm up to sit next to Sora, the Requiem will perch on his head, and the fat, rolly cat-dog-thing will try to squirm into your lap.]

And that's why Sayaka has to ruin it. She kicks a beanbag chair over near Sora, and sits down to start intently scrutinizing the screen.]
Y'know, I've heard a couple rumors about the Quiet Knoll games. They're something the tower cooked up, so I'm not surprised, but...
[She blinks and sits up a little straighter, apparently surprised by something she just saw.]
..I mean, I didn't really put any stock in it before, but..!
He is so going to get you back.
What?

That there's copies of this game that are cursed.
They lure you in since it's a horror game sequel, you know? So any really weird things you'll just think, oh, that's a neat new thing, and it's all okay at first--
[What was that just now? A graphical glitch?]
--but then, as you play farther and farther into the game...

[You have his attention now, Sayaka. Because the game is already scary, and the lights are off.]

Xehanort slides into one of the chairs next to him.]
Let us see if this will go better than last time...
no subject
I got really good at the last one. But it's been awhile. Probably should've put it on normal...
no subject
Did you finish it?
no subject
[Oop, and there's a monster and it's... Not very easy to take out. Just a second, Papa.]
no subject
At least he can't judge you for sucking - he's just as bad, if not much worse, at every video game he's ever tried since discovering that games existed.]
What kind of game is that?
no subject
[Hi, otherself. He's not going to mind you at all!]
This is the second one. I'm playing as a lady named Carol. Her husband died, but she got a letter from him saying he's still alive, so she went to Quiet Knoll to look for him.

[Considering daily life in the tower, the idea of a horror game should seem absolutely terrible to him, and...well, maybe it's not the sort of game he would have chosen to play, normally. But, at the same time, it didn't bother him, either. He was even still curious. Getting scared just for fun, instead of really being scared, sounded like an okay change of pace.]

[As if on cue, there's a short cutscene and there's a monster. Sora #2 will be distracted by killing it. And it's surprisingly difficult!]
...I really need a gun.
no subject
That thing is really weird-looking.
[Then again, considering the sorts of things Sora has seen in the tower, it probably seems less weird to him now then it would have six or so months ago.]
Is there any other way you can hit it without getting too close?
[He may not be the best at video games, but he can't not try to be helpful anyway.]
no subject
He catches sight of one of those "television" sets, and a young boy sitting in front of it. He comes in for a closer look, creeping like the vampire he is.]
My, my, what's this?
no subject
For now, Vanitas will walk over and look at the TV screen, tilting his head at the screen. ]
Having fun?
no subject
[And he'll be bashing the skull off a monster right about now. You have great timing, Vanitas.]
no subject
Got any tips?
no subject
[He'll get into a room where there's no monsters for the moment.]
Pay attention to the static, and don't wander too far off the path unless you want to be ambushed by lots of monsters.
