Summary: Nothing much, just a light-hearted log of playing video games! And Darkra sucking at them, like usual.

So, Quiet Knoll. We meet again.

[Sora has been playing video games occasionally now that his mood is better. And this time, he's playing the sequel to the game he's already beaten: Quiet Knoll 2. ...And he's sucking just as badly as he did before, but he doesn't seem to care. ~~Though this may be because he's an idiot and tried to take on a game on Hard mode while he was rusty.~~ He'll have fun either way, bashing monsters with rusty pipes while looking for his character's supposedly dead husband. He's not gotten very far in the game, and in fact, he seems totally lost. But he is still staring intently at the screen!]

[And he'll be bashing the skull off a monster right about now. You have great timing, Vanitas.]

[ Oh. That gives him more incentive to actually stay here. ]

On what? The game?

[He'll get into a room where there's no monsters for the moment.]

Pay attention to the static, and don't wander too far off the path unless you want to be ambushed by lots of monsters.

[ Vanitas nods and he decides to sit down near Sora, watching things from the safety of his mask. ]

Is it two player?

I don't think so. When I play with someone, we take turns. When one of us dies, we hand over the controller.

[Sorry, Vanimant, there's no two-player on this one.]

[ He'll just shrug after it. It doesn't bother him any. ]

[He'll go back to the hallway after a cursory look for keys, but nothing. More bashing monster skulls.]

[ He looks at the screen again, arms folded as if he's observing the strategy of how this game works. ]

I mostly play video games, really. When I'm in a bad enough mood, though, I break people.

[He says it so casually. And then he'll chuckle.]

I'm not stupid. I can smell the darkness coming off of you.

How hard do you break them?

[ It's then that he'll grin and give off a snort. At least one of the Soras here isn't gullible or downright stupid. ]

Can you now? Heh, I was wondering when you'd catch on.

As hard as I can. I'm not always successful...

[He's still hurting from Terra.]

[As if to emphasize a point, he brutally slaughters a monster.]

I was raised around Heartless. Darkness is kind of my things.

[ Yeah, any Terra can be a bitch to try to get down. Vanitas learned that one the hard way. ]

Mm. Any reason why you were?

My parents supposedly abandoned me. So... one took me in. He was named Ansem.

[He quiets down a moment and ducks into an apartment on the game, finally finding the key he was looking for.]

[ Ansem...

Well, that name alone makes this all the more interesting. ]

Did you ever ask your parents why or see if you could find them to see if they really intended to abandon you?

Yeah. They weren't there. They were in such a hurry to leave, they didn't bother with taking everything.

You ever think that something made them leave?

Maybe. It's not like there's any evidence left, so I guess I'll never know.

[It's been much too long since he was taken, after all.]

[ That will just give him a moment of pause and a slight eyebrow raise. That's...not Soralike. ]

[And just a few rooms away from the save point, Darkra's character dies. With an aggravated sigh, he'll pass the controller over to Vanitas. And as if on cue, a fat cat-dog-thing crawls into his lap.]

No, but you can plan. Don't give up so easily. It'll make someone boring.

[ And, frankly, he's tired of people being so blase about things here.

He takes the controller and observes the controls before giving it a try. It seems that murdering things, even fictional, seems to be second nature to him. ]

I'm not. But I can't do anything until I have access to Dad's notes.

[That'll tell him things for sure, after all.]

Oh. And if she looks somewhere not straight ahead? That means there's an item in the room.

Ever thought about rebellion?

[ Yep, it does. He definitely knows what to do here to get Sora to his side. ]

[ He looks around the room and tilts the camera to see where an item would be at before making the character pick it up. ]

Rebellion? Against what?

[That has him confused. There's been attempts to rebel against the tower, but...]
