Summary: Xion's had some of the first really good news that she's had in a while. And now that all the language issues have finally been sorted out, she's more than ready to share it. Additionally, she's finally getting some work done on something she's been working on all year.

Private to Namine, Axel, and OU Sora

[Certain people will find a Xion knocking on the door of their room, sometimes with a more tentative expression than other times, depending on who it was. She had something important to talk to all of them about - in some cases more than one important thing.

But she could do it. She knew she could.]

Open!

[Today will see Xion around her usual haunts in the Tower - on Floor 1, eating meals, on Floor 39, running laps or going through several series of attacks and blocks - both with her Keyblade and hand-to-hand, or on Floor 38 reading a book.

However one particular place they'll find her is Floor 15, where they'll find her pulling a slightly oversized red sweater over her head. It's the culmination of several months' worth of work and at least four other shirts of varying types preceding it (and several other small sewing projects). It's just in time, too, given that the weather is starting to turn colder.

If she looks... slightly proud of herself, pinning her Turk pin to the front of the sweater to make sure it's still visible, well... that's because she is.]

[Oh, hey, looking for a lunch buddy? Luke's a little pouty as he heads into the cafeteria that afternoon, because oh damn he's been training like hell and now he needs to eat half the food in the Tower. He passes right by Xion's table, not noticing her, but Amnon did.]

[The cheagle hopped off his shoulder, letting out a curious "mieu?" noise as it landed beside her.]

Works for me!

[Xion is startled as the cheagle lands beside her, jerking a little back and looking at it eyes wide.

What was... it didn't look like a monster though and it was broad daylight anyway.

Besides, it was so cute! She doesn't burst out into squeals like she did when she saw Pluto, though there was maybe a little squeak. Smiling a little sheepishly, Xion reaches a hand out to pat the cheagle on the head nervously.]

[Clearly the way to a cheagel's heart is through petting it, because he let out delighted little "mieu mieu!" noises as he nuzzled back against her hand. Feel free to squeal, Xion, Amnon knows he's cute.]

[Meanwhile, Luke was coming back with a platter loaded with food, already starting to nibble on stuff as he walked. He paused as he came back to the table, rolling his eyes at his cheagle.]

You like hogging all the attention, don't you?

[The pink cheagle let out a proud "Mieu!" snuggling against Xion's hand one more time, before shuffling over to Luke.]

[Xion giggled and ruffled the cheagle's fur one more time before it trotted back over to Luke. She couldn't help but tease a little, though]

It's not like you or anybody were here to for me to pay attention to instead.

[Well, he was now but not when the cheagle had approached her. She glanced towards it.]

What is it?

[He? She? She'll ask that next probably]

[Luke let out a bit of a chuckle.]

I was talking to him.

[He set his tray down, inviting himself to eat with her. Obviously, he still needed to work on that Expression stat...]

He's a cheagle. [So said as he sets aside a small plate of greens for Amnon to eat.] His name's Amnon.

[During most of the incident over the network Axel had kept more or less to himself either holed up in his room or wandering the halls on his own to investigate. Today was one of those hermit-y days in which he stayed seated or laid out on his bed, re-reading the notes he'd received the first day arrived or staring absently up at the ceiling.

Fun, right?

The knock distracted him, however, and with a raised brow he pushed himself up to walk over and open the door up. Upon looking down he was surprised to see Xion standing there considering what had recently happened between them...]

... Hey.

Amnon...

[Xion reached a hand out in case the cheagle wants to come over to get petted again. Sorry, Luke, she has a weakness for cute animals and isn't shy about showing it like Tear is.

After a moment though, she glanced up at Luke, more thoughtful]

Have you been okay?

[Tower being the Tower]

[Sorry, Xion, but... well... Luke got him greens. You're going to have to wait until he finishes stuffing his face.]

About as okay as you can get in this place. The costumes were pretty bad, but I had Yu lookin' out for me.

[Xion swallowed, her hands tightening into nervous fists. There were a lot of things to talk about with Axel. She'd tell her good news eventually, but... first they needed to... to stop being angry with each other or awkward or something. It was unusually forward of her, but... after she'd lost the chance to fix things between her and Roxas...

She looked down and away.]

Hey. [...] I'm sorry.

[Well that elicited a grimace as Xion lowered her hand. Not Amnon's distraction - Luke's words]

You got a costume too? [Her face lightens a moment later though, with surprise] You know Yu?

[hachitaro]

[There's a small creature waddling into floor 38, a book clutched in his paws. He blinks up at Xion and heads towards her, a big smile on his face.]

What are you watching?

[sacred_flamer]

Yeah, and it sucked. They turned me into a freaking bobblehead.

[He stabbed at his pile of food like it was the one responsible.]

And yeah, I know Yu. [He smirked a bit.] I'm talking to yu, aren't I?

[...okay, that was bad. Yu, please forgive him.]

[flared]

[This was... oddly forward of her. Axel didn't know what to do at first. Sure, it was awkward, but at the same it was... relieving to have her stand close to him, willing to talk this out. By now he had calmed down since he first showed up and though his mind was far from clear Axel had enough sense to talk with him straight.

With a sigh he shook his head.]

No. ... I should be apologizing to you. I– shouldn't've pushed you that far.

[attheclocktower]

[Xion turns to see who's speaking and... takes it in stride. It takes a lot to top the surprise of seeing a talking candelabra. She glances down at her book. Now that she was getting better at sewing, she was starting to try to read some new things... things that weren't how-to books.]

It's a book of fairy tales.

[She's a little sheepish about it. She's never really read a lot about this kind of thing before, despite getting the impression it was rather common knowledge to others.]

[She falls for it, frowning in confusion.]

No, no. Yu. You were just talking about him.

[She bites her lip for a moment, before looking away. She probably wouldn't have admitted this, except she remembers Luke talking to her after all the fog and Shadows.]

They turned me into a wooden puppet.

[She seems legitimately upset about this.]

[He couldn't help but laugh at her confusion.]

I knew what you meant, I was just teasing.

[...and then oh. Well. That... kinda hits a little close to home. He lowered the mouthful he was going to shove into his face.]

...you okay?

[Xion shook her head.]

You... just don't want anything bad to happen to me.

[Right? That's... that's what friends did. They cared about each other... protected each other. She... she could understand why Axel had been acting the way he had, even if... even if she disagreed with what he'd been trying to do.

Her mouth tightened.]

Things... things are really different here. Roxas was here for a while, but he didn't remember me at all. He was from... after everything. I didn't know what to do so I didn't talk to him for a while. Then he left... before I could fix anything.

I don't want that to happen again.

[To us.]

Oh, really? That's neat! What ones are you reading?

[He peers up, craning his neck to look. The problems of being short in this form.]

[Xion has very good timing when she comes to visit Sora. He happens to be in his room, going through his trunk...or, rather, the few outfits he has in there. With winter on it's way (or there, really), it's finally occurred to Sora that he has a few issues.

One, he has nothing even remotely appropriate for cold weather, and he doesn't want to have to wander around with a blanket all winter. Two, all of his clothes are starting to seem a little...smaller than they were when he got here. He's puzzling out what to do about this issue when he hears a knock on the door, and it's not long before he opens the door, happy to see that's it's Xion.]

Hey! What's going on?

[flared]

[That was true. He didn't want anything bad to happen to her, but... he had still been ready to fight her. He was ready to bring her down and drag her back to the castle for who-knew-what. It wasn't something to be proud of.

Axel briefly looked up at the mentioning of Roxas. Another thing to not be proud of...

These kids didn't need to go through all of this no matter where they were. But he knew better than he make promises he wasn't sure if he could keep. He might have wanted Xion's well-being in every sense of the word, but, really, he had to accept there was no full-proof way to ensure that.

So what could he say to her? What could he do?]

... We'll see what we can do while we're here.

[Either mend their friendship or work towards letting fall apart easier- Whatever would work best for her.]

Right now what happened back on our World is just the past.

[She knows it probably hits close to home, which is the only reason she's being as open as she is. As it is, this is teetering on the edge of too open too fast even with the possibility of Luke being in a similar situation. Maybe she shouldn'tve mentioned it at all.]

I guess... I mean, it's over now, right?

[She sighs, then relents a little]

It just reminded me of some things from home.

[Naminé wastes little time in answering, her work tucked quickly and safely away. She opens the door just a crack at first, a sliver of her visible as she peeks out. Upon seeing Xion on the other side, she opens the door further, a small smile already on her face, both because she's glad to see the other girl (in one piece, no less) and because she always does think it best to offer Xion whatever comfort she can, with a smile or otherwise.]

Xion...! Hello. Do you need something?

[Xion looks down at the book then tries to tilt it so it's easier for him to see]

Um... I think this one's called Red Riding Hood?

[And the first thing that Xion does when she sees Sora is launch herself forward and hug him. She hadn't... fully explained why he'd been forgetting things a while ago, and why it'd upset her. And she's not even sure he noticed getting the memories back. But this was also tied up with her sacrificing herself, which Sora had known about

She mumbles into his shoulder]

It's done. I got them to fix it.

[Xion glanced up a little sheepishly]

[Which... means this topic is a bit more personal, but Xion isn't... overly distressed. She's actually smiling, though it's a very small one.]
