Summary: Shion wakes up, and decides to explore a little because that's totally a good idea.

[It was like a waking nightmare, and it felt completely surreal. Waking up in the tower, reading the letters that had been left there for her. She almost didn't know what to make of it. There was no way something like that could have happened to the Elsa... And her friends.

It didn't take her too long to push past the shock. She knew she had to get up and get out (and get her blood moving before she froze to death). She found her clothes and her weapon in the trunk at the end of her bed, and as soon as she was properly dressed, she set off to find out what had really happened.

After finding it, she rode the elevator down, and when the doors opened at Floor 21, she exited to the stairs. She wasn't sure why. Some instinct drew her out, and downward. Past the restaurant, and very carefully down the crumbling outdoor ramp. It was possibly somewhere in the bloodied hand print room that echoed with tortured screams that she began to wonder if her instincts were really something she could trust anymore, as she picked up the pace. She raced down the next few floors, as fast as she could without injuring herself, until finally she reached the 14th floor.

She was tired, cold, frightened, and confused. The media room seemed safe enough, and electronics were a somewhat familiar sight. So, looking shaken, she sank to her knees just off the stairs.]

*He probably doesn't really give off much in the way of genuine warmth, so she's mainly conserving her own body heat, but it does make him realize something.*

Oh-you must be freezing. Here.

*The space behind her distorts and one of the standard bedroom blankets appears to land on her shoulders.*

[uzuki]

Thank you.

[Now she could stop totally invading his personal space! She wraps the blanket around herself tightly.]

*Not that he actually minded, he kind of likes hugs.*

No problem. Actually, you can keep it if you want. It's from my room, but I'm not affected by temperature so I don't really need it.

[uzuki]

So chivalrous.

[She laughs, hoping he can take a little teasing as well as the Allen she's used to.]

[temptestament]

*He'd be dead if he couldn't. Well. Deader.*

Well, someone has to look out for you. Can't let you end up a damsel in distress.

*He's got a bit of a teasing smile on himself, now.*

[uzuki]

[She crosses her arms under the blanket.]

I can keep myself warm. It's just polite to accept when someone offers you something.

[temptestament]

Right, right.

*Yeah, he's holding back laughter.*

Feeling better now?

[uzuki]

Yes.

[She holds her indignation for another moment or two before she breaks down into laughing again.]

[temptestament]

*And that gets him to stop trying to hide his own laughter.*

That's good. I hate it when you cry...and when you sit there freezing.

[uzuki]

You make it sound like you've seen me freezing before.

[Never in the perfect climate control world they used to inhabit!]

[temptestament]

I have now, haven't I?

[uzuki]

This time doesn't count!

[temptestament]

What? It totally does! It let me find out how I felt about it, didn't it?

[uzuki]

No, tha--

[The rest of her statement is drown out by loud static. A TV a few feet away flicked on with deafeningly loud static, and strange swirling images in the "snow" on the screen.]

[temptestament]

*He winces at the sudden loud noise, then rolls his eyes and gets up.*

I hate it when they do that. Do you want to head to one of the floors that doesn't have creepy televisions waiting to interrupt us.

*Somehow, his voice easily carries over the static.*

[uzuki]

[Well, that's a bit surprising. But she nods, covering her ears]

[temptestament]

*He reaches down and offers his hand.*

I can skip us over the more unpleasant floors, if you want.

[uzuki]

[She agrees, though her response is inaudible of the static, and she takes his hand]

[temptestament]

*He helps her to her feet and space distorts around them, leaving them standing in a flowering, but still cold, meadow.*

There. This floor is actually completely peaceful, aside from the occasional wandering monster.

[uzuki]

[It's nice to be able to actually hear again. She looks around, surprised there's really a place like this in the tower. She shouldn't really be surprised by anything anymore though...]

It's beautiful...

[Despite the cold, of course. But flowers always did brighten her mood, even if just a little.]

[temptestament]

It's usually warmer than this, but then, so is the rest of the Tower. But it's still a nice place to get away from everything else.

[uzuki]

[She nods.]

I guess that even in something so terrible there's still something good... Even if it's just something small. Like this.

[temptestament]

There's the occasional silver lining. Just...be careful. The administrators like to mess with us and that usually includes someone getting killed. They can revive us, but trust me...dying can get really painful.

[uzuki]

Dying... You mean you can't really die here?

[That's... Relevant to Shion's interests.]

[temptestament]

Not permanently, but it definitely still feels the same.
