Summary: Mami wakes up after almost being decapitated by Charlotte.
Warnings: Magical girl in despair, but other than that, nothing!



Room 3-01
[ Mami was certain that she was dead. There was no way she could have escaped that witch.

But this wasn't heaven, or even Hell for that matter. Though, after reading the letter she received, she thought Hell would have been a much better option for her. The world was gone, apparently, meaning she failed to save Madoka and Sayaka too. She was alone again.

If you're her roommate, feel free to break the silence. ]



Cafeteria
[ She had finished the oatmeal. It was bland and tasteless, but it was something to help fill the pit that was forming in her stomach. But no matter how much food she could eat, she knew that it wouldn't help her ease the loneliness she was feeling.

Mami rests her cheek on her hand, watching the people that were passing through the cafeteria. ]

I apologize for bothering you, but there aren't any books here that could explain our situation better, right?

[ It was worth a try to ask someone. There had to be some book laying around here about what kind of apocalypse happened. She gave a soft smile as her hands were behind her back, waiting for some kind of answer. ]



Floor Four
[ Her journey through the tower mostly ended for the day with the fourth floor. This setting was rather depressing, wasn't it? She sat on one of the sofas, legs crossed gracefully as she stared outside the glass.

Everyone was gone. She couldn't wrap her thoughts around that. The tears that were forming stung her eyes and she quickly wiped them away. Magical girls didn't cry, after all.

But maybe once, she could allow a few tears to slip out. ]

Ah, alright then! I didn't have any experience fighting before I came here, so I try to let everyone who comes here know that. It'd be terrible if they got caught somewhere and died because they couldn't defend themselves. And yes, they don't. How did you know that?

[Tohko scratched her head.] Ah, you're welcome! I'm glad I could help..but you don't have to call me 'Amano-san.'. Just call me Tohko. And yeah, that's why you had to eat it. [Tohko smiled at her laughter.] This Tower..it may seem like just an obstacle, but it's a pretty dangerous place, especially with the Administrators games.

Then I'll do my part to protect them, if they need protecting. It takes a long time, as well as practice, to learn how to fight. [ a beat. ] Just a guess, and it looks like I was spot on with it.

Tokyo, alright. And danger isn't something new to me, but I will be cautious. How long have you been here, if I may ask?

I'm glad to hear that. If you need any help, please let me know. I'm a simple book girl, but I may be able to help. [Tohko nodded.] Ah, I see. Alright then.

Ah, and it's not 'Tokyo'. Tohko. And I'm sorry to hear that..hopefully your life will be a little bit more peaceful if you ever manage to get out of here. And I've been here for two months. It's not a long period of time, but it's still enough for me to have learned some things.

[ Oh, yeah. Peaceful alright. Good thing Mami isn't snarky or anything like that. ] I can only wish that. Sadly, from what I figure... [ How could she even survive that witch? Her head was practically in its mouth. ]

You could say the future will make me lose my head.

[ literally. ]

It's alright! Don't worry about it!

Oh, don't worry about it. I understand..this is a lot to get used to.

[Tohko hadn't taken the news well either when she had first heard it. However, when she heard what Mami said, she sighed.]

I'm sorry to hear that..I'm not sure whether you mean that literally or whether you mean you'll go insane in the future..but if you managed to escape both death and insanity by coming here, you'll probably be alright in the future.

After all, if you ever manage to make it back to your universe, you'll be able to avoid your death..and we might be able to help you with whatever psychological issues you face here. So..don't worry. You'll be okay. Just don't be afraid to ask for help.

[ She was smiling, until she heard what Tohko said about psychological issues. Wait, did she actually think she was crazy? This is what Mami gets for secretly hiding her feelings. ]

O-Oh, I don't have any problems like that! There's nothing wrong with my head. [ other than it not being attached to her shoulders in the future. ] But thank you for the, um, concern....?

[ She swears she's not crazy. ]

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

Well, that's good..I'm sorry about that. Back home, there's two meanings for the phrase 'losing your head'-actually losing your head and going nuts. I'm sorry that I mixed up which meaning you were going for..however, you'll be fine! If you're alive right now, you'll probably be fine when you head back to your universe. After all, you could get put in a spot where you can avoid your death. I'm not sure how the teleportation process works, but you could get put in a different spot so that you could avoid it! It could work!

[Tohko is being dead serious here. While she's trying to cheer Mami up, this is what she believes.]

[ As much as she wants to believe, Mami knows her fate as a Puella Magi. Even if she goes home and lives that battle, there's no doubt that she will face a stronger witch that will kill her. However, she gives the other girl a smile and bows her head. ]
