Summary: Just the new guy probably wishing he wasn't so ~mysterious~

Room 3-14
[Finding and getting his bandages put back over his eyes was Shiki's first priority. With his power, his brain continually degraded when he saw the things he shouldn't. Death. He was used to it, a lifelong companion who would never abandon him, but the human brain just couldn't deal with it. To prevent himself from degrading any further, he always wore them, making him blind to the world around him and relying on his instincts and other senses.

Thanks to the note, he quickly found them but he made sure to take a look around before those bandages were wrapped tight around his eyes. It was all too eery but he was used to it. That was his every day life. The only thing left to do was check his surroundings. Both inside this room and outside.]



Dormitory hallways
[Once he made it outside the room, he did the best thing that came to mind. Put a hand against the wall and walk, keeping the contours in mind for later use. Sure, it was freezing cold, but when you spend some time in Germany in the winter (living outdoors), you gain a certain level of tolerance for such things. Before he ever actually runs into anyone though, Shiki is quick to walk around or step out of the way. He can't see but he can still hear and, more importantly, feel where people are.

Though, if he does come near someone, he gives a small smile.]

Floor 11
[Open air was what he was seeking. There was danger near the edge so Shiki stayed quite a bit back from it. But he did take a deep breath, partially wondering if the air was poisonous but not spending too much time thinking on it.]

Where did things go wrong?

[Or more specifically, how did he end up here? This wasn't the best place to be when he had to be by Arcueid's side, even if she was still in her eternal sleep.]

Then you'd have to go a long way back.. [ So long that it takes her a little while to try and think of where that would even end, going back to your parents and their parents and their parents... ]

.. Where did humans start? That's where you'd have to go back to.

I think the beginning of humanity is still in debate as to how it started.

[ There's more thinking, almost audibly so thanks to the humming she's doing, but in the end she just frowns to herself and seems to give up. ]

This is really difficult to answer.. I guess you just need to go back as far as you can, that's all there is to it.

Or what if someone is from the future? Does that mean when they go back in time, they have to look forward?

[ and she just goes along with it since she's gullible either way, so she's just seriously thinking.. ]

Why would someone from the future think about how things went wrong while they're in the past..? .. Ah. Wait. So the future is the past for them, and the future after that is their.. present..?

[ Taking things literally is the only way she knows how to take them, okay. ]

[ She turns towards him now, frowning a little.. just slightly though, her expression still has something blank about it. ]

Not in a bad way, right? You.. aren't a bad person, are you?

[ Because clearly you can ask a bad person that and they'll say 'sure, I am'. Obviously. Urotsuki only clearly knows something is evil when it's chasing her around, okay, otherwise it's more difficult.. ]

I might be a bad person. To some people, at least. Everyone is going to have a different answer.

I think that can be true in some cases, but.. most people would think someone is either bad or good, right? A bad person is a person who does bad things, so if you don't do bad things.. that means you're not a bad person.

What's bad and what's good changes depending on the person though.

.. Really? I thought it was something that was decided for everyone already..

Not at all. To some people, I'm a very bad person. To others, I'm pretty good.

So I can make my own decision about that too? [ Oh, it seems she's thinking already.. Urotsuki, do you really think you can decide that from just one conversation?! ]

Now that you've said that, what if I end up doing something bad?

.. [ She tilts her head, but she asks something else once she speaks up - maybe it's relevant to all of this in her head somehow. ]

No, I don't think so.

[No, Satsujinki isn't quick to make friends at all. Allies....sure. Friends, no.]

Then I guess.. it'd be bad if you did a bad thing.

[ As if she wouldn't answered differently if he had too, even if nothing in her blank expression changes. ]
