Summary: Just the new guy probably wishing he wasn't so ~mysterious~

Room 3-14
[Finding and getting his bandages put back over his eyes was Shiki's first priority. With his power, his brain continually degraded when he saw the things he shouldn't. Death. He was used to it, a lifelong companion who would never abandon him, but the human brain just couldn't deal with it. To prevent himself from degrading any further, he always wore them, making him blind to the world around him and relying on his instincts and other senses.

Thanks to the note, he quickly found them but he made sure to take a look around before those bandages were wrapped tight around his eyes. It was all too eery but he was used to it. That was his every day life. The only thing left to do was check his surroundings. Both inside this room and outside.]



Dormitory hallways
[Once he made it outside the room, he did the best thing that came to mind. Put a hand against the wall and walk, keeping the contours in mind for later use. Sure, it was freezing cold, but when you spend some time in Germany in the winter (living outdoors), you gain a certain level of tolerance for such things. Before he ever actually runs into anyone though, Shiki is quick to walk around or step out of the way. He can't see but he can still hear and, more importantly, feel where people are.

Though, if he does come near someone, he gives a small smile.]

Floor 11
[Open air was what he was seeking. There was danger near the edge so Shiki stayed quite a bit back from it. But he did take a deep breath, partially wondering if the air was poisonous but not spending too much time thinking on it.]

Where did things go wrong?

[Or more specifically, how did he end up here? This wasn't the best place to be when he had to be by Arcueid's side, even if she was still in her eternal sleep.]

Or if a vampire threatens to destroy humanity to such an extent that the planet wakes her up, yes. At least, that's how I understand it.

However, that doesn't sound like good situation to make just so that she can wake up. Is there any way you could trick or bribe her sister into waking up your beloved?

I've killed a lot of her allies. The point of any sort of talking is beyond the point of no return. As far as she's concerned, she's next.

I see..then couldn't you offer her a deal then? In exchange for life, she wakes up her sister and leaves the both of you alone for the rest of her life?

No. I'd rather have her dead. It's the only way I know she'll hold up her end of the deal.

Then you could trick her. Have her wake up your beloved and then kill her. I hate suggesting that, but if it's the solution you need, it'll work.

..Or will your beloved just fall back asleep again if you do that?

If you have to call her something, call her Arcueid. Not 'my beloved'. [Too many heartstrings twinged that he'd like to forget about years ago.]

But while that's a nice plan, someone who's over 800 years old and has kept from being intrigued against for that long probably isn't going to be fooled by a human. Especially one my age.

Ah, alright then. I'm sorry..I didn't know what her name was, so I kept calling her that.

Hmm..maybe there are a few people back at your world who are older than her? Plus, there are a few people in the Tower that are older than that. They could give you some advice.

...I know you're trying to help but it's better off this way. Even if she did wake up, she'd have to watch me die. I'd rather spare her that. Better for her to dream and continue on as normal.

[Tohko then sighs and scratches her head. That situation..it reminded her of Enoch and her feelings towards him. Was it really better to keep things locked up? Was it better to just let things be?]

...But she does love you, right? If you let her sleep, she'd be even sadder if she woke up and found out that you were dead and that she couldn't spend any time with you.

I don't know. She's the one that decided to sleep rather than stay with me.

..I'm sorry to hear that. That must have been terrible..maybe she was afraid of your separation as well. Even immortal beings feel it.
