Summary: He really likes snow ok he doesn't need a reason to play in it he's a kid

[If you happen to walk onto the once warm field of farmland, you'll see that it's covered in a small blanket of snow much like the other open floors. Another thing you might notice is a child sitting off in the distance with a red hood over their head. It's hard to tell who it is from afar, but upon closer inspection, you'll see that the child is wearing those familiar teal goggles. Now, who wears those things other than Kidou Yuuto?

Why is that boy sitting out here in the snow by himself, you ask? Well, for one thing, he isn't exactly alone. Waddling only a few feet away from him is a single little penguin. There are little penguin footprints in the snow around Kidou and every now and then it starts to get too close to the edge of the floor, and Kidou gently picks it up and moves it close to him again. It's hard to say how long he and the little penguin have been outside, but he's not about to leave soon. He's perfectly content with watching the little penguin roll and waddle around in the snow. And if you're really lucky, you'll catch him actually playing with the penguin... tickling it's belly or sides, or hiding it with him in his cape, or maybe he's just sitting with it in his lap.

It's actually really nice, getting away from other people every once in a while. Though, that isn't to say he wouldn't be happy to get some company. And the penguin sure wouldn't mind another person to bother.

(you were expecting this to be a post of kidou making snowmans or something weren't u well jOKES ON YOU HE'S NOT THAT MUCH OF A KID unless of course you ask him to join you in making a snowman or something then yeah ok he will there's nothing stopping him)]

[So everything is fine and dandy and snowy and cute when SUDDENLY A BABY FOX-THING TACKLES THE PENGUIN TO THE GROUND OH NOOOOOOOOOO-- oh hey never mind don't worry. It's not eating him or anything, no cause for alarm. Apparently it just wants to play, yapping loudly and wagging its tail.]

[Where did this thing even come from though? More importantly, what the hell is it exactly?]

[Well that certainly scared the shit out of Kidou. And as it tackled the penguin to the ground, he stood up, ready to beat it off if he had to. Though it looks like this weird... fox thing isn't actually hurting the penguin, so that's a relief.

After a few minutes of watching the penguin and the new creature play, Kidou approaches it with caution, crouching a little bit away from it and holding out his hand.]

What kind of animal are you... ?

[ghostytrainer]

[He just wanted to play, okay? He's never seen an animal like whatever this weird beaky thing with flippers is before! After a few minutes of slightly rough-and-tumble play, the fox backs off though and trots over to Kidou, sniffing his offered hand and offering a yip to answer his question. He's a Zorua, duh. Haven't you ever seen one before?]

[About that time, there's a call from somewhere behind Kidou.]

Michael J.! Get back here, mister!

[John can't run quite as fast as his little mischief maker of a fox so it took him a little bit to catch up after the booger took off. He's still a little ways away should Kidou turn around, and he's followed by what appears to be a living candle and...some kind of bizarre scythe-less grim reaper...thing. Dusknoir what are you even.]

[And turn around Kidou does. He's a little surprised though, to see who was running over to him.]

John? [What the hell are those things following him though...]

[Sakuma loves snow.

So when several of the floors in the tower started getting them, he spent his time visiting them, not really wondering why it's possible. Weirder things have happened here after all.

When he first ventures onto the thirty-third floor, he thinks it's empty mostly because it's quiet. He walks inside, staring at his feet while enjoying the crunching they made when he stepped on the snow already gathered on the ground. Only, partway in, he hears squawking and realizes it's not as empty as he first thought. Before he can look up to see the source of the noise something rams into his legs and knocks him over onto his back.]

Oof!

[Sakuma rolls over onto his front, looks around himself and sees a penguin next to him looking just as disoriented.]

What...

[pengeen]

[Kidou was going to greet his friend when he noticed him but he found himself watching in silent surprise as the penguin knocked the other boy to the ground. As Sakuma rolled over, Kidou stood up and walked over to him, letting a small chuckle escape his lips.]

Are you alright, Sakuma?

[He covers his mouth with one hand as he laughs, and holds out the other to help Sakuma up.]

[kickspenguins]

[He's still staring at the penguin the slid into him but it seems it's faster at recovering than he is since it's already jumped up and waddling away. Nodding slowly at Kidou's question, he replies:]

Yeah. I think. What are penguins doing here anyway?

[pengeen]

I went to the aquarium earlier and I noticed this little guy all by himself, so I thought that maybe he'd like to spend some time with me in the snow.

[notagiraffe]

[Taiki was walking in the farmland as well; he was alone, he couldn't summon Sanshi or Gohran out here. He was wrapped up warmly in his cloak and enjoying the snow. He wondered if Winters in Tai had ever gotten this cold; he had been brought to the tower before Winter set in.

He spotted Kidou, he hadn't seen him in a while but he hadn't forgotten how kind he had been to him in those pods... Then he spotted the penguin and his eyes lit up.]

Is that really a penguin? [He skipped forwards before remembering himself and stopping awkwardly.] Sorry...

[pengeen]

[Kidou looks up at Taiki and smiles.]

Taiki, it's been a while. [He reaches over and picks up the penguin, letting out a small laugh at it lets out a confused squawk. Then, he holds it up to the other.]

Yeah, it is a penguin. There are a few downstairs in the aquarium... I found this one by itself looking a bit lonely, so I thought it'd be nice to take it up here with me to enjoy the snow.

[notagiraffe]

Oh! [He smiles nervously] I've never seen one before... well on TV... Sorry... but not in real life. Do they not bite?

[pengeen]

The ones here are far less aggressive than most penguins. Especially this little guy. [He's still holding it out to Taiki, so he can pet it.]

[Even though Tohko had finished her cloak, she was still rather chilly. While she was happy that her fingers hadn't fallen off yet, she really wished the temperature would rise soon. While she didn't mind the snow, it prevented the snowy floors from being good reading spots, which meant that she had to find new ones.

While she was walking around the Tower trying to find new spots, Tohko spotted a..penguin in one room, along with Kidou. Curious, Tohko wandered into the room, wondering where the penguin had come from.]

Good morning, Kidou! How are you? And where did this penguin come from?

[pengeen]

[He looks up when Tohko speaks, and offers her a smile.]

Good morning, Tohko. There are a few penguins downstairs in the aquarium.

[tohko_amano]

[Tohko nodded, happy to see that Kidou was doing much better than he was a few months ago.]

Ah, alright then! I hadn't noticed. They're kind of cute..are you planning on raising this one as a pet?

[pengeen]

[He picks up the little penguin and places it in his lap.]

Maybe... I'm not sure if it has family or not, so I'm a little hesitant. [He scratches it's belly which results in it letting out a few small squawks like it was laughing or something.]

...loosing your family is hard, I'd hate for it to have to go through that too.

[chainsawn]

[ WOW WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOT THAT MUCH OF A KID GIRLFRIENDO IS OLDER AND WOULD TOTALLY DO THAT.

But okay, for real, Urotsuki is mostly just out exploring as usually. The cold or snow doesn't seem to bother her - as pretty much anything never seems to bother her, really. It's a little strange, but strange is what she's used to, either way.

But when she notices Kidou sitting there with the penguins.. ah, they're sort of cute. Should she maybe try to match..? It takes little more than a single blink before her own outfit is replaced by a penguin-like suit.

She walks the last distance over towards him, not saying anything just yet - as if she's waiting for him to notice her first. ]

[He does hear the crunching of the snow under her feet, so he looks up when she stops walking.

...and he stares at her really cute penguin outfit.]

...h-hello, Urotsuki.

[chainsawn]

Good day, Yuuto. [ She can't help but smile whenever she sees him, it's natural by now. Even if she usually doesn't do it as much, but.. when she's with him, she's suddenly found smiling a whole lot. She walks the last few steps over to him so she can come sit in the snow too. ]

Are you playing with your friends..?

[pengeen]

The penguin? Yeah, I thought it'd be nice to show it the snow, since it's been in the aquarium this whole time...

[As she sits next to him, he leans over and gives her a quick kiss on the cheek as a proper greeting.]

Super secret special option just for Genda-chan wow what a lucky guy!

[Later during the day, Kidou was pretty exhausted from all the snowball fights and playing with the penguin and whatnot, and it was getting pretty gosh darn cold so it's about time he took the penguin back. Though, as he walked over to pick it up, it started waddling away. He smirks a bit and takes a few steps towards it, and it gets onto its belly and slides away.]

Even after all this time you're still pretty playful, huh? [He watches it slide around with a smile on his face..... that is, until it slides right off the side of the island.

Without thinking, he runs as fast as he can and jumps off the edge after it. Once he's close enough, he grabs it and holds it close to his chest, flipping around so he'll land on his back and the penguin will be safe.

Wow this... was a pretty dumb way to die, huh? Risking his life for a little penguin...]

[Wow what do you mean he wasn't that kind of a kid. Jade had been moping around for a month and was freezing her ass off, but even she could acknowledge that you were being a total loser, Kidou.

So that just meant she was doing to pack in some snow together, and throw a snowball at the back of his head.]

[!!!!!!

Suddenly getting hit by a snowball startled him quite a bit, and he whipped his head around to see who threw it, expecting to be Sakuma coming back for revenge or something... but it was someone he didn't recognize.

He stood up and brushed himself off, and crossed his arms.]

Do you want something? [That was pretty rude of you!! Throwing a snowball at someone you don't know...]

[reddeadvirtuoso]

[Excuse you, whether she knows you or not has nothing to do with her inherent rudeness level.]

Not really. [Besides the fact that she's already making another snowball.]

What? Don't you know how to play?

... [Oh this person wanted to have a snowball fight, alright.

He crouches down and picks up a handful of snow to start shaping into a snowball.]

Of course I know how to play. [That being said as he chucks the snowball at Jade, with a bit of a grin on his face.]
