Summary: Eleanor doesn't really know how to handle this flu thing, it's been a long time since she's been sick! Well, conventionally sick that is.
Warnings: Cranky, cranky teenagers who can set things on fire with their minds. Also random teleporting and potential telekinetic shenanigans.

[Eleanor woke up this morning with her head feeling like it was stuffed with wool. That was a novelty of a sort, and not a very pleasant one. She shrugged it off though, not entirely familiar with the whole flu process, though somewhere in the back of her head, several dozen voices whined in unison about how awful it was.

Eleanor got dressed in her suit and as usual set out to wander around the Tower, steps slow and gaunt looming.

Except, even if you're used to seeing her go around by now, you might be surprised to see her stumbling a little, leaning heavily sideways and nearly falling off the stairs more than once. For all intents and purposes, it seems like nearly seven feet worth of drunken diving suit, though of course that's not the case.

Hell, her portholes are glowing blue. Blue. She didn't even know that was a thing that could happen.]

Well, many things could happen, but you shouldn't let yourself worry so much about it that you end up doing nothing.

While that is good advice, I am trying to get you to rest in your dorm room. I'll bring you some things to keep your head occupied, and I'll even play Othello with you! Just..please, go and rest.

But I haven't finished my rounds yet.

..Your rounds? Are you a security officer or something?

[thebigsister]

No, but I do rounds every day to see if anyone needs help and such.

[Because she's of so much help right now.]

Tell you what. I'll do your rounds for you if you go rest up. I like helping people, so you don't have to worry about me!

Can you kill things?

[This is the most natural question in the world.]

[Tohko gave her a puzzled look as she tapped her daggers. She was glad that she made that belt-it had come in handy.]

I can. I don't enjoy it, but I am capable. Why do you ask?

Because my rounds are about killing monsters, more than anything else.

[She shrugs.]

Still not sure you should take my place, though.

Don't worry! I can kill monsters! I've done that before. You don't have to worry about me. I just have a small cold. You go and rest. I'll take care of your rounds for you, alright?

...if you're sick too, shouldn't I go out and do my job myself?

I just have a simple cold. You're swaying around like you're drunk. A small sneeze or two isn't going to hurt me. However, when you start swaying without realizing you're swaying, it's usually not a good sign.

But I know I'm swaying.

I know you're not. However, if you're swaying, it means you're really sick, much more so than I. I can take care of your patrol duties for today, so please, go rest.

Even if I'm sick, I'm not too sick to let someone else do it for me, if they're sick too!

I'm not so sick that I look like I'm about to topple over! In a situation like this, wouldn't it be better if the person that was more sick rested while the person that wasn't worked?

Actually, it's the other way around. If you're going to be mercenary about it, you have to pull all the stops, I suppose.

How is it the other way around? That doesn't make any sense at all!

Well, that's how it works, if you want to look at it strategically. You don't send healthy or more healthy people to do the job that got sick people sick.

But your job didn't make you sick. There are just a few illnesses running around. You didn't get them because of your job.

It might have, actually. We don't really know...

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

We don't know..but I doubt your job caused you to get sick. What makes you think that it was the cause?

Because I don't really get sick? So it doesn't make sense.

Well, maybe it's something that the Administrators are causing again.
