Characters: Azula, open
Setting: Floor Forty-Five, Cafeteria, the Meadow
Format: Action (or prose if you like)
Summary: Azula's out and about again
Warning: firebender
45 -
[The observatory was an interesting place. Not because of the view, but because of the strange humanoid monsters that crawled on the outside. Azula found them somewhat amusing, walking back and forth in front of the window and watching them follow her. One in particular seemed very eager to catch her attention, moving with more agility than the others.]
[She smiled at it and tapped the glass, which only seemed to agitate it further.]
[Every so often, she paused from tormenting the faceless things to firebend a little, creating a warm spot to stand in to keep away the chill.]
Cafeteria -
[She was getting tired of the nutrition bars. It was the only things she had eaten since the beginning of the month. Though they were filling, they were hardly up to her standards. So, with some reluctance, she walked into the back where the kitchen was, and tried to scout out where some decent food might be. She would cook it herself if she had to. There was only so much she would take from this place.
[So that meant braving the freezer. ]
[Not a particularly nice place for a Firebender to be.]
[When she came back out, she was cold and shivering, something she had managed to avoid so far with the help of her fire bending occasionally.]
The Meadow-
[There was only so much of the cold she could take. That was why she could be found on the Meadow floor now, carrying piles of wood from one of the forest floors to pile up in the middle of the meadow. It was manual labor, but there was nobody else around to do it. She would yell at Tahno later. Right then, the effort was keeping her warm.]
[When she was done, she took a deep breath, and breathed on the woodpile, instantly melting little bits of snow and ice still stuck to the wood, and catching it on fire.]
[She had enough wood piled up to keep it going for a couple hours, and she sat back on a rock, enjoying the heat.]

Cafeteria
So, Tohko managed to walk up the stairs, falling down occasionally, and, thanks to her memory, managed to walk into the right room. However, she couldn't see the nutrition bars or the table. Hoping that someone was in the room, she called out.]
Pardon me..I'm sorry for bothering everyone, but if someone is in this room, please put a nutrition bar into my hand. I can't see it, you see.

[Huffing into her hands to warm them, Azula regarded the girl for a moment, before closing her eyes and giving a delicate sniff.]
Very well.
[She picked up a handful of bars and shoved them into Tohko's hand, and that's when she noticed the fever.]
Tell me, are you trying to get other people sick?
no subject
Ah, thank you, Azula. I'm sorry about this..this darn cold seems to be stripping away my senses for some reason.
[At the question, she shook her head.]
No, of course not! I'd hate it if other people got this cold. It's quite horrid. Why do you think I want to give it to others?
no subject
[And then Azula folded her arms, shifting her weight to one foot.]
What's this about you not being able to see?

Why are you scaring them like that? They have done nothing to you.
Re: 45
Don't touch me again.
[She wasn't upset, but cool when she leveled a glare in his direction.]
45
Ah, I am sorry. I was merely trying to warm you up. I did not mean to startle or offend you.
[She hadn't answered his question, but he'd come back to that eventually.]
no subject
I can warm myself up.
[It was a quite matter-of-fact statement.]

[She didn't want to return to the dorms with someone tailing, even though her cold was getting worse. She shivers. The weather certainly didn't help either. Or maybe she was just getting a fever and the footsteps were the result of the fever as well.]
[That still doesn't explain why she can hear them over her coughs.]
[For some reason, this floor seems a little warmer than the others. When she looks up, she can see why. A girl has lit a bonfire in the middle of the floor.]
Hello!
[She calls to the girl.]
Can I [sneeze] sit by your fire for a moment?
no subject
It's just a fire. I mean, sit if you want, but I'm not obligated to keep you company.
[The last time she sat next to a fire like this, it had been on Ember Island...]
no subject
[She approaches the fire, shivering all the way.]
no subject
Soon enough, she focuses her attention on the other girl.]
I'm Azula.

cafeteria
You crawled into the fridge.
[He had seen people wanting better food than the nutrition bars, but she was taking measures that went above and beyond what most people were willing to do.]
Re: cafeteria
Well, of course, silly, how else am I going to look for food?
Re: cafeteria
no subject
No. All the food that was there last month is gone. Just more of these tasteless bricks.
[Even a cup of tea would be better than nothing. Then she winced inwardly at the thought.]

Cafeteria!
Finding nothing but power bars, she headed toward the last possible food hiding place. The freezer. But as she reached for the door, it came swinging open at her. She stepped out of the way quickly to avoid the door, and Azula.]

If you were looking for food, there's nothing in there.
Floor 45
However, that is when she firebends that his attention is caught. Any display of power, small or big, is a sure mean to catch his attention. ]
Intriguing.
[ He spoke without really addressing her, even though his stare was directed at her. ]

This man stunk of power, the way he carried himself familiar.
She could recognize another player.]
Perhaps you would care to enlighten me.
[She spoke without amusement.]
no subject
You. I believe it is self-explanatory.
no subject
Ah, yes, I can see you are a man of perception. I am rather intriguing, aren't I? But you wouldn't be saying anything if you didn't have some purpose in mind, would you?

He decided to head up there again today, and was a bit curious when he saw someone else wandering about the meadow. It looked like they had made a fire. Curiosity got the best of him, and he decided to go see who it was.
Until he got close enough to figure out it was Azula.
"Shit," he muttered under his breath, turning on his heel and hoping she hadn't yet spotted him.

She had been wondering what happened to Tahno lately, but hadn't bothered to look him up. It was good to know he was still kicking. "Please, won't you sit down."
no subject
"Oh, pardon me, princess, I didn't see you there. How have you been?"
He approached her slowly and gave a sly smile, considering her question.
"Oh, I'd be just delighted to sit with you."
He really wasn't trying to sound sarcastic or rude, but it probably came off that way. He wasn't used to speaking to higher-ups. How did people do this?
