Setting: Dorm Room 1-09.
Format: Starting in prose, but I'll match you!
Summary: Tohko wakes up to find that she's lost her flu symptoms..and her ability to feel things.
Warnings: None right now.

When Tohko woke up that morning, if she hadn't know that she had fallen asleep in her own bed last night, she would have worried about where she was. She couldn't feel the bed beneath her, the freezing cold, and she couldn't tell if she was still running a fever or not. She couldn't feel a thing, and since she couldn't see anything either, she was afraid to leave her bed and move about. She could hear things..but that was about it. She couldn't use her crutch anymore, and it wasn't like she would be able to tell where walls were. Scared and sad, due to being cut off from everything she liked, Tohko began to cry..not that she could feel the tears. She could only hear her sobs. Out of desperation, she cried out.

"Please, is anyone there? If you can hear me..please, talk to me! I..I need your help."

I don't know much about not being able to feel things but if you sleep during the day and try to get around at night, you'll learn pretty quick without seeing.

Oh, I haven't been able to see for a couple of days now. While that was difficult, it wasn't too hard to get around..but since I can't feel anything now, it'll be even harder.

[She sighed.]

Hang in there. You're doing well so far.

[Tohko gave Shiki a small smile and nodded.]

..Thank you. I'll do my best! However..I'm sorry, but can you put a nutrition bar into my hand?

[After all, they did come here to grab something to eat.]

That, I can do.

[He gets one, opens her hand, puts it in, and closes it.]

Okay, you should be fine now.

Ah, thank you.

[While Tohko can't feel him opening and closing her hand, she can hear it. Getting an idea, she moves her other hand over to where she hears the sound, and, hearing the rustle of the candy bar, knows the the other hand is touching it. She then starts to unwrap it, using her ears to tell whether she's being successful or not.]

[Since he has a moment, he pulls out his bandages and wraps his eyes back up. A sharp headache was already forming and he didn't want to push it. Better to keep his eyes shut while they were waiting.

And better to listen just in case she starts to choke by accident.]

[Tohko strained her ears and her memory as she used them both to eat the nutrition bar. Since she could hear the crunch of it between her teeth, she figure that she was eating it. As she finished, she heard Shiki put his bandages on again. She crumpled the wrapper in her fist.]

Alright then. I've got that taken care of..now, I guess I just look for some audiobooks and something to play them on. I'd like to help out everyone else here..but I'm not quite sure how I can do that in this condition.

Where would you find things like that?

And no, you're not going to be doing any helping in that condition.

Well, I might be able to find some audiobooks in the library..as for where there's something to play them, I don't know..but there has to be something.

[Tohko sighed. Books were her not just a source of food to her-they were her lifeblood. Being cut away from them was going to be terrible..and she wasn't sure how she would cope. She sighed.]

Are you sure? There has to be something I can still help out with..

You can help by taking good care of yourself.

[That much was obvious.]

What floor is the library on...?

[Tohko chuckled and nodded.]

That's true..and the library is on the third floor. It's not too far away from here.

I think the least I can do is get you there.

[Tohko nodded.]

Yup! I'm not sure what I'll do after getting there..but it should be a start!

I'll get you over there so you can focus on that.

Ah, thank you! [Tohko started to walk onto the stairs, and actually managed to not trip this time. Her memory was correct. She then started to walk up them again, using her smacking method. It was slow..but effective.]

[Now he was mostly there to keep her from falling. Other than that, he was sure she'd make it just fine.]

[Tohko kept on going, and managed to get past the second floor, and was halfway up the stairs when, thinking she had gotten to the third floor, turned and bumped into the wall. She didn't feel it, but she heard the noise.]

Ah..I guess I'll have to find a way to avoid the walls as well.

I admit to being able to cheat when it comes to that.

[Tohko kept going, smacking her feet on the steps and her fists on the walls. She couldn't feel the wall, but she could hear the noise, and she knew that if the wall didn't make a noise back, she had found the library.]

I can feel when something is going to be a danger to myself and my body reacts to stop it.

That's pretty useful! How did you get that sort of power?

Probably from my family. Who knows.

[Tohko nodded.]

I see..still, that's a pretty good power to have.
