Characters: Data and YOU!
Setting: Cafeteria, Your Dorm, Library, Any Floor.
Format: Starting with action, will follow.
Summary: Thankfully enough, this android has been spared the strain of flu spreading throughout the tower. So Data tries to follow the human tradition called "Christmas" and attempts to decorate the Cafeteria. Meanwhile he also investigates the terminals to find information relevant to the tower and the whole administrator business, carries out his duty as security officer and look after his cat… That may or not have ended up asleep on your bed.
Also Data may or not be putting Mistletoe in strategic doorways throughout the tower. It's only for decorating and help the Christmas mood after all, right?
Warnings: None for now.
Cafeteria
[ In this day of December, while a lot of people have caught flu and are trying to fight the cold, there is an android who is going pretty good. As a matter of fact, for an android who is supposed to be emotionless, he looks quite happy. Probably happier than anyone else in the tower at this moment. From the human customs he studied, Christmas is supposed to be a period of cheerfulness and happiness, where people are to help each other and make presents. And as it is, Data does intend on following the tradition to the letter.
You may see him entering the cafeteria carrying a tree on his back. This strongly resembles a Christmas Tree, which he had probably chopped off from the forest floor earlier. And as he carries the tree, Data sings... ]
Dashing through the snow♫~
In a one horse open sleigh♪~
Over the fields we go♫~
Laughing all the way♪~
[ He looks very happy (albeit in a strange way?) as he sings. Before long he puts the tree down on the floor and starts positioning it so that everyone can admire it and help decorating it if so they wish, without troubling circulation in the cafeteria.
Oh, and of course he keeps singing. ]
Bells on bob tails ring♫~
Making spirits bright♪~
What fun it is to laugh and sing♫~
A sleighing song tonight♪~
Your Dorm
[ As you were sleeping, a regrettable accident may have happened. It is very possible a cat infiltrated your room, snuggled up to you and fell asleep against you, without you even realizing as you slept.
And of course, Data is an android who cares a lot for his cat. Hence as soon as he realized Spot was missing, he went after the cat. When he finally pinpointed Spot's position… He just couldn't wake her up. It would be cruel to do that as the cat appeared to be sleeping so well.
So when you wake up, you may have an android standing next to your bed and staring at you very casually. Well, Data in facts stares at the cat but considering the cat may be sleeping against you, there is no big difference. ]
Library (Third Floor)
[ On a more serious note this time, Data is sitting in front of a terminal in the library, typing at a speed that makes it hard to follow his movements. It appears he is focusing mostly on posts concerning the administrators and events that happened throughout the tower for the past year. ]
Intriguing.
[ Aside from this word, he utters nothing else as he keeps collecting information. ]
Any Floor
[ You may find Data at any floors in the tower and that at any time, carrying out his duties. Indeed, a few weeks ago he found on his bed a paper indicating him he was to work as a security officer. As death would be the punishment for failing at his work, he was left with little other choice than complying.
Hence you will find him walking throughout a floor, dispatching eventual monsters with his phaser if needed, before stopping at the security box by the exit door. He then inputs in a code to signify the area is as safe as it can get, before moving on to another floor.
Oh, from times to times you may see him hanging up mistletoe above the doorways. Most specifically in the floors people pass by the most often. Once it's done, he nods approvingly and finally moves on to another area. Perpetuating tradition is also the duty of an android after all. ]

Normal cats and dogs in my universe have become extinct, I'm afraid. Companies use their technology to make artificial ones for a high price. Thus, not many families or people can afford them.

It does. However, sadly, Earth has been lost to humanity for some time, and people now call it Lost Jerusalem in my universe.

The year in my universe is 4770. However, that year may mean nothing to you or it could be useless, since our universes are completely different from one another.

Indeed. If you are going by the Anno Domini Calendar system, it places you 2403 years into the future. However, I doubt you do. By my standards, I live in what we call the 24th century of Earth.

You are right in assuming that we don't. We have switched our calender system to the Transcendent Christ. However, since humanity stopped recording time for awhile, we are actually four thousand years into the future from the Anno Domini system.
The 24th century of Earth..that sounds like a nice place to live, in your universe.

It is, at least within Federation Borders. Much of space is left unexplored and while we have many allies, we also have many enemies, the Borg, Cardassians and Romulans being the most dangerous ones.

I see..so you face attacks from aliens species. We have a similar problem in my universe. Beings called the Gnosis attack humanity on a regular basis in my universe.

Again, not much is known about them, but we do know that they attack humans and are made out of salt. Their bodies are normally translucent, and have to be brought here through the Hilbert Effect. Those who manage to survive an attack with them usually become Gnosis themselves.

That is most intriguing. The fact that those attacked by them become Gnosis reminds me of our greatest enemy, the Borg, but aside from this I am confident no such specie exist back in our universe.

The Borg assimilate all they meet to make them a part of the collective- They assimilate technology and culture into their own and turn lifeform into Drone connected to the collective. They are by far, our greatest and most dangerous enemy.
