Better to be hated... [open]

Characters: Erik Lehnsherr and YOU
Setting: Anywhere in the tower you like.
Format: Action or Prose, I'm easy.
Summary: A wandering mutant trying to sort out what's happened.
Warnings: Who knows, really. Erik's had a rough week, and showing up here and finding out his entire world's been destroyed? Is gonna put him in a bad mood.

Erik had read the note. Earth had been destroyed, and he was the lone survivor. Well, one of the lone survivors. There were other people here, clearly, but not any of the faces he wanted to see. Mystique, Azazel, Riptide, Angel, Emma.

While he didn't believe what was written in any way shape or form, the fact that his brothers and sisters were no where to be seen was troublesome. Someone, somehow, had been able to transport him here without his knowledge, under cover of darkness. It would take a powerful mutant or entity to pull that off without him even realizing it was occurring.

Whatever this place was, Erik didn't intend on staying. He had been a lab rat once before--never again.

So he wandered the corridors, the hallways, looking for information.

[ Erik would most likely run into a boy with blue hair and gray eyes, offering him a polite smile. Blue hair is totally normal

He could tell the look of a new person fairly easily. There is only some metal on him (mostly in the form of one pistol, loaded, and then one modified, bulletless one?), hidden away, but he doesn't intend to use it. Metal headphones are around his ears, quietly playing music, and a small mp3 player can be seen hanging around his neck. ]

Did you just arrive here?

[ He offers a small smile. ]

[ A nod. ]

I've been here for a few weeks, myself.

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
... To be honest, I've spoken with someone who was sent back to a destroyed Earth. Though I don't buy it--it's probably a deception.

[ If only because he has things to do. ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-09-27 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
[ This is... not a topic he really wants to dwell on, though. At least Chidori was here. Subject change time! ]

... Mutation?

[ Please explain, Erik? ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-03 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
[ ... Oh. Well.

That is certainly... interesting. He hasn't seen anyone do that before. He supposes, then, that this may count for something, in that case. Gift, curse--it was the same, really. ]

... Then I suppose a Persona would count as something like that, then.

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
[ Ah, why is this always so hard...? ]

A Persona is... a manifestation of a Persona's psyche; their 'other' self. The gods and demons and mythological creatures that people are represented by. A... mask, of sorts, tamed for protection and battle.

[ Ugh, too much talking. ]

... Not many people are able to summon them... naturally, anyway. They're rare.

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ Hah, probably. Personas aren't something you can change--they hold the secrets to everything in someone's head.

Minato pulls his Evoker out of the holster hidden under his coat. It looks like a pistol, but it isn't one; it's modified, and holds no ammunition. He pauses, holding it in his hand. ]

... I could, and I don't mind, if you can promise you won't panic.

[ He's had that happen before, and it wasn't fun. ]

wow I am sorry for the slowness of my tags aashdf;

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-20 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[ With no further hesitation, he brings the Evoker up to the side of his temple, pulling the trigger. Where one might expect blood normally, there is the sound of shattering glass and the faint glass itself to match out side, the shards a faint blue color. They rise up behind him quickly, and Samael (http://i.imgur.com/PELBV.png) appears behind him, floating briefly as he concentrates, before fading slowly.

... And he waits to see what Erik will think, perhaps because he is curious to see what an outside perspective on the matter would view it as. ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-24 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
[ He is rather unfazed, having been long accustomed to this reaction, and merely shrugs at Erik's comment on the whole shooting yourself in the head bit. ]

... What a Persona is capable of is dependent on its wielder. Of course, the danger differs if it's unnatural... and they're generally more impressive in battle. Samael is more geared toward elemental magic and combat support, for example.

[ He was a tactical person, after all. Thanatos was his more dangerous Persona, but Samael was what he depended on for missions and supporting his team if something happened to Chidori. ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-28 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
[ ... There's a fraction of a change in his eyes here, but otherwise, nothing betrays his feelings on that question. ]

... If you're lucky enough to be born with what's referred to as the "potential"... then yes--in which case, they're merely tiring. But if your Persona is artificial in any way, it's difficult to control without... certain aids.

[ Drugs. Suppressors. Persona inhibitors. Whatever one wanted to call them. Stop taking them and your Persona would kill you, in his case. Keep taking them and your lifespan is shorted more and more as your body slowly deteriorates. ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
... Experimentation, done mostly on children they pulled from the streets, by a large corporation interested in Personas, among other things.

[ He wasn't the biggest fan of it; none of his group were, considering they were the only ones left. ]

There were... a few who managed to make it out alive. The rest either died or turned into monsters.

[ It's a good thing he's had a lot of time, otherwise the bitterness might be seeping into his voice entirely. ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
[ An absent sigh. Well, he supposes he may as well be honest. While he hates those people, he supposes in the end that they'll get what they deserve--even if he can't, personally, deliver it himself. ]

... It was a matter of resources we didn't have to fight them with at the time. Resources we still lack, and one of them has always been time.

[ The Tower wasn't any better. He couldn't help but feel the value placed on their lives was even LESS than back then, somehow. ]

[identity profile] fractus-animus.livejournal.com 2011-11-03 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
We will.

[ If nothing else, he believed in persistence. He didn't feel the need to bring up SEES being the bigger problem at the moment. ]

... There needs to be more people who will fight here. There is only so much we can do if we're alone or disorganized, after all. It won't be easy, since they can disable our abilities.
