Better to be hated... [open]
Characters: Erik Lehnsherr and YOU
Setting: Anywhere in the tower you like.
Format: Action or Prose, I'm easy.
Summary: A wandering mutant trying to sort out what's happened.
Warnings: Who knows, really. Erik's had a rough week, and showing up here and finding out his entire world's been destroyed? Is gonna put him in a bad mood.
Erik had read the note. Earth had been destroyed, and he was the lone survivor. Well, one of the lone survivors. There were other people here, clearly, but not any of the faces he wanted to see. Mystique, Azazel, Riptide, Angel, Emma.
While he didn't believe what was written in any way shape or form, the fact that his brothers and sisters were no where to be seen was troublesome. Someone, somehow, had been able to transport him here without his knowledge, under cover of darkness. It would take a powerful mutant or entity to pull that off without him even realizing it was occurring.
Whatever this place was, Erik didn't intend on staying. He had been a lab rat once before--never again.
So he wandered the corridors, the hallways, looking for information.

Giving a tentative wave, Erik moved forward, keeping his face neutral. "Another captive, I presume?"

"Hola, senorita." He slips easily into Spanish, giving her a slight nod. "Can you explain to me what this place is?"
He's going to go with the 'clueless' ruse; sadly it isn't that far off.
[ooc: For the sake of my sanity, assume everything he says now is in Spanish. My own Spanish is quite laughable.]

As if the people here are rounding up those who are 'special'.

[realizing he's momentarily blocked the corridor, he mumbles a quick, off hand apology as he picks up the book.] Entschuldigung.

It's all right.
[Germans always set him on edge--it had been his own people who had imprisoned him, tortured him...killed his friends and family.
But not all Germans were Nazis. He doesn't lump all people together, even if Charles thought he did.]
Anything of use in the Library?
[ooc: assume that everything he says from here on out is in German, please.]

It was completely possible there were others in his situation as well. It was rather demeaning to have to ask for people to cart him around the tower if he wanted to get around. Much less eat. He couldn't eat without someone bringing him to the first floor. How embarrassing. Already putting himself in a mood because of those reasons, he's wondering if he should ask someone about that. Going to eat. Maybe Molly would be interested in helping him again?
His train of thought almost causes him not to see the man wandering the halls with him. A man who he hadn't felt at all nearby. His chair rolls to a stop as he looks up blinking realizing there was someone in the hall with him and--- he feels his body stiffen, hands curl on the arms of his chair as he fears he might be going crazy. Seeing things.
"Erik...?" That damnable helmet and all, yes, it was him. There's a mix between disbelief and elation as he sees the other mutant. And fear.

But hearing his name, sounding through the corridor with familiar tone, a cold chill went rocketing down his spine. If he had truly cared to register anything but shock, he might have felt the sick sensation starting to roll in his stomach.
Turning on his heel quickly, Erik pressed his lips together in a tight line, drawing blood from his own cheek as he bit down, attempting to keep his face unreadable.
This...this was not what he expected to see when he saw Charles again. He had--
--he hadn't known. That this was the end result of Cuba.
His dearest friend, trapped in a chair.
Finally finding his voice, he flexed his hands at his sides, the only sign of his agitation.
"Charles."
He couldn't think of another thing to say.

Her eyes were drawn to his helmet as she passed him, which drew her to what she could see of his face. And she could see his mood wasn't good. Mary wasn't the most courageous person in her world, she did what she had to when she had to so it took a moment for her to speak up.
"You seem upset. Have you just arrived?"
no subject
There is sarcasm in his tone, but it isn't directed towards her. This wasn't easy for him, to say the least. Everything in him wanted to act out, to move--but without a set goal, he knew that tearing down the tower around their ears would do little.
As much as he would like to.
God I'm slow lately, forgive me

Her eyes lock in on the new man, eyebrow quirking upwards.]
Greetings. Interesting helmet you have, there. Are you new?
no subject
Just arrived a few moments ago.

"Food?"
[But what is more interesting is the voice calling various names coming up the stairs looking for said fat little bear. Don't mind either of them, their the most harmless things you'll meet in the tower.]

Blue hair is totally normalHe could tell the look of a new person fairly easily. There is only some metal on him (mostly in the form of one pistol, loaded, and then one modified, bulletless one?), hidden away, but he doesn't intend to use it. Metal headphones are around his ears, quietly playing music, and a small mp3 player can be seen hanging around his neck. ]
Did you just arrive here?
