Better to be hated... [open]
Characters: Erik Lehnsherr and YOU
Setting: Anywhere in the tower you like.
Format: Action or Prose, I'm easy.
Summary: A wandering mutant trying to sort out what's happened.
Warnings: Who knows, really. Erik's had a rough week, and showing up here and finding out his entire world's been destroyed? Is gonna put him in a bad mood.
Erik had read the note. Earth had been destroyed, and he was the lone survivor. Well, one of the lone survivors. There were other people here, clearly, but not any of the faces he wanted to see. Mystique, Azazel, Riptide, Angel, Emma.
While he didn't believe what was written in any way shape or form, the fact that his brothers and sisters were no where to be seen was troublesome. Someone, somehow, had been able to transport him here without his knowledge, under cover of darkness. It would take a powerful mutant or entity to pull that off without him even realizing it was occurring.
Whatever this place was, Erik didn't intend on staying. He had been a lab rat once before--never again.
So he wandered the corridors, the hallways, looking for information.

[Good lord has this place become an asylum for people who think they are countries? This is ridiculous.]

Nevermind, you'll just think I'm crazy like half of the people here do. The bear's Kumokio, he might as well be called a pet.
I'm Matthew.
[OOC: Matt can never remember the bears actual name, nor can the bear remember Matt's. It's odd and comical and rather stupid.]
no subject
[He's got this thing for tigers, and not wanting to cover them in robes. It's all very complicated.]
Erik.

[Matt's very proud of his wildlife and seeing anything suffer bothers him to no end, even if its something as small as a mouse. But the bear was enjoying being pet and gave a warning growl at Erik before looking up at him with dark black eyes and opening his mouth.]
"You're upsetting him. I don't like it."

--How is it speaking.
[It isn't a mutant. It's an animal--but...it's talking.
Just what the hell is going on here?]
no subject
[Kumo looked curious, wondering why the petting had stopped before giving up and rolling onto his back and looking at Erik as if expecting more petting.]
I'm sorry if he's alarmed you.
no subject
[Erik rolls his eyes at the bear and almost reluctantly starts to pet it's stomach. He's not very good with harmless creatures, but ones that have potential for violence, well--he might be all right with them.]
He didn't alarm me. He's just an animal. Can be trusted more than humans.
no subject
I agree with you there, animals are more honest. If they don't like you they bite you, if they do they let you be near them.
You seem to hold a lot of animosity for most people. Aren't you human yourself?
no subject
[He lets out a breath, fingers sliding through fur. At the question, though, he snorts.]
Hardly.
[ooc: Charles mun informed me that Erik should just declare that he is 'Magneto, bitch' and steal the adorable cub. This made me laugh, and I had to share.]
no subject
You're much more human than I am, than a few people here actually. It's not necessarily a bad thing, course I don't know what you've been through.
[OOC: LMAO that's awesome! Although if he took the bear he'd have the might of a nation coming down on his head and Matt's not overly friendly when very angry.]
no subject
I'm a mutant. I'd rather not be associated with base humans.
no subject
[Matt backtracks with his words a bit wondering why the man is so angry, it wasn't like the Canadian had done anything to him personally.]
no subject
[He doesn't mind showing off, really. With a snap of his fingers, he easily levitates Canada's glasses off his face, landing them in his hand.]
no subject
That's cool, so, is it the metal you do something with?
no subject
[Erik uses his powers once again to put the glasses back on Canada's face.]
My mutation allows me to control all metal and magnetic fields.
no subject
[Matt adjusts his glasses on his nose and puts his hands in his pockets.]
I can't say I can do anything that impressive, I'm just really hard to kill. Well, unless you nuke my nation or dissolve me or something then that's a different story. But, I can't say I can do anything like manipulate magnetic fields, that's amazing.
no subject
[He gives a shrug, and glazes over the other's talk of being a nation again.]
I'm glad it's appreciated. We'll see if it serves some use here.

I am a weapon.
[A sad, true fact.]
no subject
But I really don't think you're a weapon as you say. Merely a person with an odd ability with the free will to choose how you use it. I can snap a persons arm clean in half without a problem but I won't do it because I don't want to, I'm a peaceful person. So, really, I don't find you threatening or dangerous as a weapon would be, just a person.
[Matt's always an optimist, as sad as it is he tries.]
