Characters: Shiki (Tohno), Shiki (Nanaya) and anyone else!
Setting: Floor 4 hallway
Format: Either's fine!
Summary: It's never too big a disaster to take a short murder break.
Warnings: Violence. Just... Yeah.
[A blur, black in the sparse lighting, impedes passage into one of the hallways. Retreating into a nearby wall, he looks at his prey with eyes not yet satiated. This isn't enough... but it's a hell of a lot more than he thought he'd get. It's not in Nanaya's nature to retreat, of course. This isn't a measure of cowardice, but simply a way to maximize his pleasure. Having Shiki actually fight back is an occasion to be savored.]
Scary. You really have been through the wringer, haven't you, Shiki?
[A rhetorical question, of course. Nanaya knows everything his counterpart has experienced. At least up until the moment he arrived at the tower. To have a place filled with so many people willing to lunge at you - grant the signature that nullifies that bothersome social contract the murderer's never cared for... It's more than he could ever ask for.]
Don't tell me you're not having fun.
[There's a grunt from the other male as he threw his left hand up, the knife parrying the blow from what seemed to be his twin in a first glance; considering his worsening cold and the strange flashes of seeing the lines of death even with his glasses on was starting to wear him down.]
Damn it, I don't really have the time for this!
[Of all things for this tower to bring in addition to his future self, it had to be this guy from all the mess he just went through earlier that month. As if having to deal with a crazy refugee spot for a tower wasn't enough already...!]
Why not? After all, this could be another fever dream of yours. Could you really call it the first time?
[The question sounds manic, mocking, but that could very well be attributed to the nearly-invisible flurry of attacks Nanaya's dealing. The fact that Shiki has survived this long says something about his training. He could get stronger in time, but Nanaya's not one for patience. The brief interlude by which he says this is interrupted by him appearing behind Shiki, almost before the mental afterimage he may have from believing he's there is gone in the first place. A slice at the neck.]
If so, why turn this into a nightmare? Sleeping's for resting, isn't it?
[Several of the blows punched through, tearing at his clothes and skin as he was completely pushed back. Seeing that Shiki Tohno was fighting to protect himself rather than to kill the one in front of him, it was pretty clear when he was taken by surprise when he reached out with his left hand, aiming to deal a stab to push his look-a-like away, only to feel the rush of the wind as he went through the afterimage.
...! Damn it, there's not enough time to completely dodge the killing intent from the back-!]
HAAAAH!
[With a yell, he turned- raising his right hand instinctively as the slash ripped through his sleeves as if it was air, while his left hand was raised in an uppercut motion, aimed to push the other male back. It connects, and succeeds in making him grunt as he's driven back a few steps, if not much else. Nanaya looks at Shiki with a half-congratulating gaze, eager to continue this dance until one of them falls. A lack of interruption will bring that conclusion sooner rather than later.]
(Note: Sure enough, Nanaya Shiki has arrived at the tower. Anyone is free to speak to either of them, although Shiki's liable to escape Nanaya's line of sight if he's distracted, and attacking Shiki may result in Nanaya being all too welcoming of new additions. It's not a safe situation.)

am I really going to do two fight threads in the same post
Stop right there!
[ Satsuki's never had been much of a hero in her eyes; she helped others when she could and took to only hurting small animals. Speaking of, it's a shame she's been distracted with nursing Shiki back to health with the aid of her enchanting eyes. Too busy to actually take the time to feed herself. Oatmeal, while a necessary first meal, would have been the only thing she's consumed that wasn't laced with blood.
So when she noticed someone attacking Shiki? The edge of madness found itself closing in on her sanity which only resulted in one thing. No restraint is shown as she flew through through the air with the full intent of tackling the party with the higher advantage.
So sup Nanaya, have a babby Dead Apostle. ]
Re: am I really going to do two fight threads in the same post
Yumizuka-san.
[That was actually a little hard to remember. Does Shiki actually know this girl? ...Whatever. In a few minutes, it won't matter.]
I can understand a human being some sort of hero of justice, but a vampire is a little far-fetched, don't you think?

I never claimed that kind of title! [ Ragged breaths in between words, she'll look towards the Shiki she thinks she might know to ensure he's alright. Her landing was a well placed barrier between the two boys, which was more than she thought she could do. ] So don't call me a hero. I just want to help... I just want to help Tohno-kun!
[ That voice though... It doesn't surprise her as much as it should. Almost as though it was more familiar than it ought to be. ]

[Nanaya throws his knife at Shiki, making it fly at breakneck speeds. Considering Dead Apostles are able to dodge bullets, and that even Shiki himself has good reflexes, this may not be necessarily fatal. However, it quickly becomes clear that this is but a ruse to catch Satsuki off-guard, what with him closing in and delivering a sweeping kick to throw her off her feet immediately afterwards.]
[It doesn't have the absolute certainty of doing away with an opponent, like his last technique does, but it's a nice display of customization to fit an unconventional dilemma.]

She has enough reflex in her to hold out her arms to shield her forehead from hitting the ground. Because even vampires get headaches. With an "Oomph!", there's a clear delay in her recovery. She's a Dead Apostle, but she's still a young girl who's been caught in dangerous circumstances. Her experience in battle is limited at best and then there's the neglected part of her that just wants to rip him to shreds. ]
Tohno-kun... sorry, you should get away while I take care of this problem for you. [ Satsuki murmurs. ]

[ Maybe they didn't notice the particular aura of despair that filled this area, but Shiki wasted little time in making her appearance known. With hands stuffed lazily in the red jacket on her person, she didn't seem much like a threat other than the magical presence around her. ]
You shouldn't run around with a knives. [ A scoff. ] Someone might get hurt.

[He says as he twirls his own, a little occupied with his current prey at the moment, despite his not-too-subtle threat.]

He's going to look kind of wary before replying.]
Sorry about him, he's kinda touched in the head.
[Aren't you the one a tad bit touched, Shiki?]

[ Funny, they just look alike. ] Two peas in the same pod sort of deal, isn't it?

And as with any pea, harvesting must come eventually.

[The sound of a battle drew her closer, but upon seeing the actual combatants... It's more like she stepped into a weird dream rather than seeing an interesting fight.
Maybe Mikiya was actually a set of quadruplets and he just never told her.]S'like I really am in a dream still. [She'll work up the desire to KILL SHIT!! in a sec I swear just give her a moment to lament how ridiculous her life has become...]

Yo, mister no-glasses over there. You just sticking to warmups, or are you gonna get to some actual killing anytime soon?

And in the end... it doesn't change the ultimate result.
[Don't get distracted, Shiki. That's a nice way to end up with a punctured lung. Speaking about...]

All Satsujinki feels is too losers flailing away at each other. Do you guys even assassin? Talking while fighting, pshaw.
But Satsujinki would rather not see his younger self killed, thanks. So his hand is kind of forced.]
Why the heck are you two fighting? More importantly, why does one of you actually have a serious killing intent?
no subject
Why waste an occasion like this with pacifism? This whole place is going up in flames. It's only polite to join in.
no subject
[Not that he's looking for a big boss. But Satsujinki takes his stealth and secrecy to heart. Others....really don't.]
no subject
[Yeah. Pragmatism? Not a thing for Nanaya.]

If you two are going to fight at least avoid doing it in public were others can get hurt.
