3rd Mission

Characters: Rolo Lamperouge and YOU
Setting: Dorm hallways at night
Format: Both are fine. I'll follow.
Summary: Rolo has the normal type of flu but with it comes a nasty cough. His cough is getting so bad that it's interfering with the use of his Geass... too bad those monsters are closing in on him... Some help please?
Warnings: None yet.

Rolo is bundled up warmly in animal skins he's hunted and prepared himself but that doesn't seem to have stopped him from getting the flu. He doesn't mind the flu so much except that he's been afflicted with a bad cough and the medicine he's been taking doesn't seem to be helping much.

He's just on his way to his room rather late at night when he hears monsters approaching. This doesn't scare him and he simply takes out his knife and gets ready to activate his Geass, however, that's when he suddenly gets caught in a nasty bout of coughing. He can't quite keep his Geass up as he doubles over coughing. The monsters get nearer. He tries to control his coughing but to no avail... Help?

The moment the monsters had either died or fled, chaos touched to the ground, and his wings vanished. Quietly, he whispered a small prayer for them before turning to Rolo.

"I attacked the monsters and saved you. Are you alright?"

chaos was a master at dodging questions.

"You didn't have to save me... I..." This makes him feel rather conflicted. Now he feels like he owes choas something. Yet somehow he wonders if this means they are 'friends'. 'Friends' help each other, don't they?

"That is true. I did not have to save you, but I wanted to. I enjoy helping people, and we are friends, are we not?"

And chaos was happy that he managed to get Rolo to stop questioning his powers. However, he didn't like the fact that Rolo seemed rather unsure about this. He put a hand on the boy's shoulder, to both heat him up and calm him down.

"Enjoy helping people...? Enjoy?" This is certainly an alien concept to Rolo. He looks up, lost yet a little hopeful. "... we are friends?"

[lightofhumanity]

chaos nodded. "Yes. I enjoy helping people. And I think we are, unless you do not want to be."

[tempus_scorpius]

"Why do you enjoy helping people?" Then he was silent for a long time. "I... I would like to be... friends."

[lightofhumanity]

"Because I love humanity. I would not want to see it suffer or in pain, especially one of my friends."

chaos then smiled at that.

"I am happy to hear that..and I am happy to be your friend, Rolo."

[tempus_scorpius]

"Love humanity? You aren't human then?" He remembers the wings, chaos.

And the awkwardness returns because what should he do now? He nods. is this happiness he feels? he really isn't sure.

And chaos is happy he does. It's refreshing to have people call b.s. on him, but it's also a bit..problematic.

"Yes..I love humanity. As for what I am..I am chaos. I believe I already told you."

chaos smiled and nodded as he said that.

That doesn't answer his question at all... Maybe he should try asking it another way.

"What else are you able to do besides what you did just now?"

[lightofhumanity]

chaos is the master at avoiding questions and giving answers that aren't really helpful unless you really think about them. He smiled as he spoke.

"Other than killing monsters, as you just saw, I am able to heal people and help them out. Why do you ask?"

[tempus_scorpius]

Rolo just looks at him silently for a long moment. "Are you human?"

[lightofhumanity]

"I am as human as you are." And chaos's smile left his face as he spoke.

[tempus_scorpius]

Rolo just watches him impassively. "Humans don't usually possess the powers you seem to have."

[lightofhumanity]

"..Everyone has at least one skill that they excel in over all others. It's something that defines who they are. This is one of those skills. There are people who can do things much better than I can, yet they are not inhuman."

[tempus_scorpius]

Rolo was silent for a moment. All that was true but the powers chaos had displayed... yet, there were lots of people with 'magic' here, wasn't there?

"Was that magic then?"

[lightofhumanity]

At that, chaos smiled.

"Perhaps. Now..you should probably get some rest. You are sick and could use it."

[tempus_scorpius]

It was so suspicious how chaos seems to be avoiding his questions but Rolo decided to let that me for now.

"I should. This is so annoying..." And he coughed a bit more.

[lightofhumanity]

It may have been suspicious, but chaos was happy that he didn't pry further into it.

"I imagine it is. However, some rest and some medicine should help. If you go and get some sleep, I shall provide you with some medicine to take when you wake up."

[tempus_scorpius]

"Shouldn't I take the medicine before sleeping...?" Because that's how it usually goes, right?

[lightofhumanity]

"Usually..however, if you fall asleep by the time I get back, it would be better if you rested and took the pills when you woke up instead of being forced to wake up, take some pills, and not be able to go back to sleep." chaos explained.

[tempus_scorpius]

"I see. I'll wait for you in my room then?"

[lightofhumanity]

At that, chaos nodded.

"You should get in your room and try to sleep. I shall be back shortly with some medicine."

And with that, chaos would start running off to the infirmary.

Rolo nodded back and did as he was told. He lay down and waited for chaos to come back.

It took chaos a little while, but not too long. Once Rolo and anyone else was out of sight, he teleported to the infirmary, picked up some cold medicine, tylenol, and a glass of water before going back to the hallway outside of Rolo's room.

Quietly, he entered, not wanting to wake him up if he was asleep.
