3rd Mission

Characters: Rolo Lamperouge and YOU
Setting: Dorm hallways at night
Format: Both are fine. I'll follow.
Summary: Rolo has the normal type of flu but with it comes a nasty cough. His cough is getting so bad that it's interfering with the use of his Geass... too bad those monsters are closing in on him... Some help please?
Warnings: None yet.

Rolo is bundled up warmly in animal skins he's hunted and prepared himself but that doesn't seem to have stopped him from getting the flu. He doesn't mind the flu so much except that he's been afflicted with a bad cough and the medicine he's been taking doesn't seem to be helping much.

He's just on his way to his room rather late at night when he hears monsters approaching. This doesn't scare him and he simply takes out his knife and gets ready to activate his Geass, however, that's when he suddenly gets caught in a nasty bout of coughing. He can't quite keep his Geass up as he doubles over coughing. The monsters get nearer. He tries to control his coughing but to no avail... Help?

"Why wouldn't I?" Suzaku looked around, keeping a watch against any further monsters. "I wasn't about to let you be injured by them." He's not a monster Rolo, despite popular belief.

[tempus_scorpius]

"What would you gain from this...?" It's not that he thinks you're a monster, Suzaku, just that in his experience, people always did things for a reason. They always expected something in return.

[swordofzero]

"Not having you dead or injured." Suzaku told him, he really didn't have a reason past the fact he still hated people getting hurt despite all the wrong he had done, people he knew were even worse, and people he liked worse again. He expected nothing in return.

"It's what friends do."

[tempus_scorpius]

Rolo is just going to stare at him a bit in surprise, blinking slowly. "Friends? ... we are friends?"

[swordofzero]

[Blinking back] Yes. We are, aren't we?

[tempus_scorpius]

I... am not sure...

[He pauses a moment to think.]

I... would like to be friends.

[swordofzero]

[Rolo... Suzaku blinks at him sadly before nodding.] I would like that too.

[tempus_scorpius]

[Just... don't betray him, 'k, Suzaku?] ... thank you. [He smiles a little.]

[swordofzero]

[He will try so hard not to. But no promises.] I'm glad. [No smile here but a friendly nod.]

[tempus_scorpius]

[he smiles a little more then start another coughing fit]

[swordofzero]

You should be in bed.

[tempus_scorpius]

I... I'll be okay. [No, he won't. He leans against the wall a bit as he coughs.]

[swordofzero]

No you wont. Come on I'll take you.

[tempus_scorpius]

I don't n- [Then he just sighs] ... alright.

[swordofzero]

[Suzaku nods at him and begins to lead him back to his room.]

[tempus_scorpius]

[and he lets Suzaku lead him back]

[swordofzero]

[Opening door and pulling back covers so Rolo can get into bed. He's already done this once this week with Nunnally.]

[tempus_scorpius]

[he climbs in]

... thank... you...

[swordofzero]

You're welcome. [It's what friends do Rolo, so get used to it] Do you wish me to stay?

[tempus_scorpius]

[but he's never had friends before...] I...

[he's not sure but he doesn't really want to be alone right now so he nods]

[swordofzero]

[Suzaku nodded and sat on the floor next to Rolo's bed.] I wont leave, don't worry.

[tempus_scorpius]

Thank... you...

[This feels so strange... yet somehow oddly comforting. Rolo eventually closes his eyes and falls asleeps.]

[swordofzero]

[And Suzaku stays. Like promised.]
