Anyone near the kitchen would probably smell a delicious blend of spices, that made up Shion's special sweet curry. Earlier in the day, she had been surprised to find the basket of ingredients in her room (as well as something disturbing from home), and she wasted little time getting to the kitchen to prepare her specialty.

They didn't give her a while lot, but she's definitely be willing to share a portion or two with anyone tired of nutrition bars.

In the Library...

Shion stepped off the stairs quietly and surveyed the room.

"Allen? Jin?"

She had something small concealed in her hand, and she looked a little worried. She really hoped at least one of them would be there.

*He walks over to scoop up the bowl in one hand, then back to stand next to her.*

Would you prefer to go the long way or the short way?

*Meaning walk or teleport.*

It doesn't matter to me, whichever way you prefer. But there is something else I've been meaning to ask you.

[temptestament]

I actually feel more like walking right now. But what is it?

[uzuki]

[She took his hand and started off with him.]

Well, did I ever mention to you that, back home, you and I rebuilt KOS-MOS together?

[temptestament]

*He closed his hand around hers and kept pace with her.*

No. Was that after... *After T-elos destroyed her?* After you visited Rennes le Chateau?

[uzuki]

[She gave a nod.]

T-elos, Kevin's "new model", smashed her.

[There was just the faintest hint of still bitter feelings in her voice when she said that.]

But you and I worked really hard to rebuild her, and she thought of us as her creators after that. I think that's part of the reason she was able to defy Wilhelm on Michtam.

But, I'm not asking that we build her a new frame or anything. I just thought it would be nice to have a maintenance bed here for her. I already got some good parts from around the tower, so I thought we could work on it together.

I know you're not KOS-MOS's biggest fan, but maybe it would help. Not to mention give us something to do.

[temptestament]

*Hearing T-elos described as Kevin's earns a small twitch of a frown, but he pushes his annoyance aside.*

It would be nice to have a solid project for a change. I haven't really been comfortable with KOS-MOS since that incident, but if you want her to have a maintenance bed of her own, I'd be alright with helping.

[uzuki]

Thank you, Allen. You're the only one here I would trust to help me with something for KOS-MOS.

[temptestament]

Aside from you, I think I'm the only one here who knows his way around technology and isn't practically from the stone age.

[uzuki]

[She shook her head, amused and only a little exasperated. Allen had a way of turning compliments around so easily.]

I'd say the same thing even if we were back home.

[Which really is saying something since Vector employees make up 95% of the population now.]

It's worse here. But at least there's two of us now.

[uzuki]

[When they entered the kitchen, she took his curry from him to heat it up again.]
