Summary: Dark Pit wakes up and goes exploring this strange new place. It's probably Pandora's fault.

Dorm Hallways

[There's a new person around, moving with quick steps down the hall. He can't find anyone - not that he relies on them or anything - and it's just weird to be in a place like this. He moves pretty quickly, so it might be easy to dismiss him… except for the fact that he's got a cannon strapped over his arm.]



Floor 14

[Ugh. He needs to calm down. He's not anything like his original, but he can recognize the value of blowing off steam on a video game. The 'fallen' angel sits in front of one of the TVs, playing a fighting game. It may look familiar…]



Floor 13

[It's frustrating. He doesn't want the help of either goddess, but he'd like at least a sign that they're not dead. That letter couldn't have been telling the truth. Not when they spent all that time and energy on making sure the world didn't get screwed up by Hades.]

[The black-winged angel hunches his shoulders a bit as he stands in front of the altar and flaps his wings, though it doesn't seem to do anything, especially not lift him off the ground at all. Frustrated, he turns, storming towards the back of the cathedral.]

[He bumps into V/V on her way down - she'd been gliding rather than walking, and comes to a gentle landing when she sees him.]

Oh! You have wings.

[... He widens his eyes slightly. Huh. A female angel? He hasn't seen any.... at all. Ever.]

Yeah. You do too. Duh.

But not a lot of other people here do, so I was surprised. Are you an angel too?

... Yeah. But I don't serve Palutena like the rest of them do.

[He's a servant only to himself.]

[Thaaat makes him stop short. He crosses his arms.]

Goddess of Light, ruler of Angel Land, boss to a certain annoying angel?

We're probably from different worlds, because I've never been to Angel Land.

[chaos loved to sleep, as he loved the dreams that came attached..but he wasn't expecting to see or sense this when he walked out of his dorm room. With a smile, chaos approached the person.]

Good morning. Are you lost? Do you need any help?

[alae]

[Dark Pit's wings bristled as he was addressed. He turned to stare at chaos.]

Hmph. I may not know where the hell I am, but that doesn't mean I need anyone's help.

If you do not know where you are, it is usually best to ask someone and find out information. If you want, I could tell you about this Tower. You would not have to worry. I enjoy helping people.

[He bristled a bit more before responding.]

... Fine.

[chaos nodded before speaking again. The smile slid off his face.]

This Tower is called Animus. As far as I know, four people run it: Dax, a humane person, Riki, a secretive person who manages the records, Jason, a person who enjoys torturing and experimenting on the residents, and Ruana, a childlike person who is thousands of years old and has interesting powers. She sees her experiments as nothing more than fun games.

If you have not yet been to the cafeteria, eat the oatmeal first. It may not taste good, but if you do not eat it, you shall throw up whatever else you try to eat first.

If you die, you will just wake up the next morning in your bed. However, I am sure that you will be punished if you die too many times, so please be careful.

Monsters roam the Tower at night. I am sure you will not have a problem, but please be careful. Some of them cannot be killed, so it is best just to run sometimes.

Also what the hell kind of monster can't be killed? Does it have invincibility mode on or something?

[What was that on his arm? It looked like a gauntlet of some kind, just... bigger. More lethal. Okay, so it looked more like a weapon than armor.

Don't mind the blonde girl staring at you, Dark Pit; she's more accustomed to staffs and swords than she is to cannons.]

[Huh? A human? Weird. He stared back at her with unblinking red eyes.]

... It's a cannon.

[She thought back to the cannon that had been attached to Piers' ship, then looked at the cannon on his arm again. Thought about it, looked back to it.]

...it's... a rather small cannon, isn't it?

Well duh. How else are you going to strap it to your arm?

[Kid Icarus cares not for your laws of physics and sense.]

No. Not unless you mess it up, which you'd have to be an idiot to do.

[It's the EZ Cannon for a reason. Tch.]

[She opened her mouth to say something else, then thought better of it. She was silent for a few moments before she finally spoke up again.]

Is that something you brought from home, or did you find it here in the Tower?
