Setting: room 4-18, dormitories, and the library
Format: action prefered but I can match what I'm given!
Summary: Ishimaru investigates his new surroundings and leaves an ominous note for his OU counterpart
Warnings: This Ishimaru is kind of a general walking warning label

Room 4-18, morning
[What confuses Ishimaru the most upon waking is less being in an unfamiliar place and more that he's even awake at all. He dimly recalls dying... perhaps this place was hell? When he's able to move, he gets up, surveying the room as well as himself. Spotting the letters, he skims over both. If what they say is true, perhaps he isn't dead after all? Regardless, he is dissatisfied with the jumpsuit he's currently wearing, he investigates the trunk at the foot of his bed, finding, to his relief, his usual uniform. He changes immediately, though he pauses before choosing the disciplinary committee armband rather than the "despair" one. Might was well play it safe at this point before he can investigate further. Which, after sliding his sword through his belt, and grabbing the spiral bound notebook, both found in his chest, is exactly what he sets out to do.]

Dormitories, particularly outside Room 2-04
[He starts with the immediate vicinity, walking up and down the halls of the dorms in an orderly, almost patrol-like fashion, glancing at the names printed on the doors... He spots quite a few familiar names... including a few that should have been dead long ago. He doesn't bother them yet, but he does jot down their name, roommates, and room numbers in his notebook. Even more concerning is when he reaches a door bearing his own name. Two doors down from Oowada, even. The room assignments seemed random but... Could it actually be Mukuro? He was dead, but so was Maizono and Fujisaki, and he'd seen their names on other doors as well.

He stands there for a good minute, considering his course of action. No one else would have reason to impersonate him, would they? Even so, it might be unwise to leave a note addressed as such, he might need Mukuro to stay undercover and one of his roommates might find the note before him. He makes his decision, and slides a piece of paper under the door with the simple message of;

To the one calling himself "Ishimaru Kiyotaka",
One of the residents of room 4-18 would like to speak with you.

Satisfied, he continues on his investigation.]

Library
[This continues until he reaches the library, which he is quite glad to find. Deciding he'd done enough investigation of the tower itself for one day, he allows himself to make a thorough investigation of the library itself, and one could find him with his note in various books for most of the rest of the day.]

[As she speaks, Ishimaru jots down the key points of what she's saying in his notebook. He's very intensely focused on the task, and snaps the book shut as soon as she finishes.]

I see! It seems I'll have to tread even more carefully than I'd realized. Though, I can't imagine those monsters you mentioned being too much of an issue.

[The boys note-taking reminded her of a ruder resident, but she didn't think this guy was a bad person. He seemed rather polite right now.]

That you shall! And trust me, the monsters here can be quite dangerous. It's best not to take them lightly..and the residents will sometimes decide to fight, which means that you might have to fight other people as well. And you're welcome! [She was also a serial killer but details. He's sure this girl isn't that bad.]

I suppose it's you I should be asking regarding whether we can borrow books from this library.

Isn't 'kun' usually used for boys?

[Tohko smiled at that.]

Oh, really?! I guess the name is just tied to books then! Hopefully that person was nice..and I am one of the people you can ask about the library. You can borrow books from it, but make sure you don't take too many at a time. That way, other residents will still be able to read.

Normally, yes! Ishimaru uses it for everyone. It's apparently a military convention.

Aah, she was actually quite bothersome, but you seem much nicer than her... I wouldn't worry about it too much though.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully she'll soften up a little bit when you get back home.

Ah, no, she was already dead!
[He says, as if it's no big deal.]

I just meant that I'm not going home any time soon, is all.

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

Then..how did she die? And you might! After all, there are several people here who were brought there just at the moment of their deaths. Your universe is probably fine.

Ah... You would have me return home to face my execution just as Touko Fukawa did?

[Are you confused and afraid yet?]

[Confused, yes. Scared, no. Tohko gave him a puzzled look.]

But..the Administrators could put you in a different spot so that you wouldn't have to die. Why were you being executed though?

It's a rather long story, but my surviving classmates had voted for it, in exchange they were allowed to escape our school.

I see..was your school taken over by armed kidnappers? Were you being held hostage for something?

[hallmonotor]

Not at all! They were being held inside the school to protect them from the world outside! They were the bright hope of the future, after all.

But being inside school all the time is going to drain your students. And if you kill and injure them, you're killing part of your future.

It was for their own good. And then I just figured, we can't afford to have students who would murder their classmates for their own selfish interests in the group meant to restore hope and order to the world!

It was just disappointing how many of them were corrupt enough to do so....

How is trapping students in school all the time for their own good? It just makes them sad and mad by cutting them off from the outside world. And if students were killing other students..it may have been because they got so sad and lonely that they thought of death as a release. I don't agree with that option, but I can see why. It's terrible that happened.

Their likelihood of surviving outside the school was just as low. Society had fallen to ruin! I suppose you could call it a post-apocalyptic scenario?

Well, then why keep them cooped up if the survival rates were just as bad outside?

Our headmaster had hoped that allowing the students time to grow up, they'd be better able to tackle the problem of rebuilding society.

[tohko_amano]

But keeping them locked up in school would probably just make them worse. It would probably just add to the problems.

It certainly seems to have gone that way! Of our 16 remaining classmates, only 6 survived to escape!

..I'm sorry to hear that. Watching your friends die around you must have been horrible.
