[05] || [One Ring to Rule them All] || [Closed]
Characters: Gandalf, Frodo and those they called to the council.
Setting: Cathedral Floor
Format: Action
Summary: Frodo has with him a certain ring yet he cannot reach Mount Doom to destroy it. So Gandalf sent a note to a few people for a small council to be held so as to discuss the matter of utmost importance that is the ring, as it is destroying Frodo's mind and can theoretically fall into very bad hands.
Warnings: Nothing. Well, Frodo may suffer of the repercussion of what'll happen to the ring.
The Cathedral Floor was handy to organize big or small reunion-- This one was a small one and unlike Reunion that may have been held there before, this one had not been made to look fancy. ... It was Elrond's duty to make fancy-looking reunion after all. No, Gandalf had simply set a table and chairs around it so that the few people summoned could sit down and discuss.
To each of them he had sent a letter with their name on it explaining in very short why he needed them, to help Frodo (a personal matter, but if the ring was to fall in the hand of dangerous individuals in the tower, it wouldn't be so personal any more). Obviously enough, Gandalf and Frodo would be the first to be there of course.
Oh, and the room is magically protected. Non invited people and eavesdropper, you shall not pass.

I admit, I may not be able to help you that much. However..if you do not mind, it would like to try and weaken this ring and help you.

However Gandalf turns to Frodo. ]
The decision lies in the ringbearer.

Do not worry. I am not going to force his hand or his words.
[He then turned to Frodo.]
However..what do you choose, Frodo?
no subject
If Gandalf trusts you, then so would I.
[ a pause ]
Please, if you could help, I would be thankful -- though it isn't safe.

Thank you for trusting me that much. I shall do what I can to weaken this Ring..but tell me if you are in any pain. I shall do what I can to help you.
[If this was a Gnosis, chaos normally would have touched it and tried to calm it. However, this was not a Gnosis. He would try a stronger approach, even if he did have to avoid the odd questions later. Quickly, a pair of wings appeared on chaos's back and, as he flew into the air so that he could properly survey the area and not hurt anyone else, he sent a rain of energy beams onto the ring.]

he did not speak, let alone cry out in pain, he was silent, but it was written in his face. it is nothing. it is no different, do what must be done if it can be done --the pain is terribleitisterriblegandalf.
his hand went to his chest, swallowing hard as he struggled to catch his breath. there was no doubt that was no young man, no, that person was something else entirely. he watched in silent agony as the beams were dealt upon the ring, the same beams that he felt were piercing him. ]

Frodo, are you alright? I am sorry..I did not mean to cause you that much pain.
no subject
He had not expect such a violent reaction- And the ring was unharmed. This had been a bad idea... ]
no subject
I'm..I'm alright.
[ he's staring at the Ring, and then at chaos. his brows furrow. ]
What...what did you do exactly?
[ was he a wizard? some sort of high being, like gandalf. he's still trying to catch his breath. ]

Good..I am glad to hear that.
[In the back of his head, chaos sighed.]
..I attacked the Ring.
