[05] || [One Ring to Rule them All] || [Closed]

Characters: Gandalf, Frodo and those they called to the council.
Setting: Cathedral Floor
Format: Action
Summary: Frodo has with him a certain ring yet he cannot reach Mount Doom to destroy it. So Gandalf sent a note to a few people for a small council to be held so as to discuss the matter of utmost importance that is the ring, as it is destroying Frodo's mind and can theoretically fall into very bad hands.
Warnings: Nothing. Well, Frodo may suffer of the repercussion of what'll happen to the ring.

The Cathedral Floor was handy to organize big or small reunion-- This one was a small one and unlike Reunion that may have been held there before, this one had not been made to look fancy. ... It was Elrond's duty to make fancy-looking reunion after all. No, Gandalf had simply set a table and chairs around it so that the few people summoned could sit down and discuss.

To each of them he had sent a letter with their name on it explaining in very short why he needed them, to help Frodo (a personal matter, but if the ring was to fall in the hand of dangerous individuals in the tower, it wouldn't be so personal any more). Obviously enough, Gandalf and Frodo would be the first to be there of course.

Oh, and the room is magically protected. Non invited people and eavesdropper, you shall not pass.

It is...divine in nature. Meant to battle against beings of The Darkness. *Enoch opens his Arch with a crackle of energy, blue light forming a series of blades between its protrusions.* And...supposedly, sends on souls who are bound to Earth to their proper destination. At least...I hope it sends them on to Heaven without fail. That much was never clearly explained to me.

The Ring is only half of a soul. While it contains Him, he still dwells in his tower, if I can still feel him now.

[ a sharp glance to gandalf. middle-earth cannot be lost if the burden is still here. he glances over at the man, speaking at last, voice clear, despite his height. ]

But I would see you try, regardless of the outcome.

[ but deep in his heart..frodo knew the outcome. ]

If you can feel his soul-...

*No. Wait, this had been answered. He had been trying hard to block out the Ring's whispering.*

...I'm sorry for the pain it will cause you. I hope it won't be in vain.

*And with that, he gets up and moves closer to the Ring, raising his Arch above his head.

He hesitates, both at the thought of bringing pain to someone through this, and at the way its whispers intensified with the closeness. But setting his jaw against the very sort of temptation he had been taught to avoid from childhood, he brought the Arch down on the Ring as hard as he could with a defiant yell.*
