Characters: KOS-MOS (

kosmic_angel) and everyone she’s going to kill.
Setting: All over the tower, your choices. Today only!
Format: prose to start but I’ll switch
Summary: Shion and Allen tried to build KOS-MOS a maintenance bed and it has some… unexpected difficulties. Like KOS-MOS going Archetype mode and killing everyone in sight. RUN!
Warnings: There’s going to be a lot of dying and it’s going to get gory.

When KOS-MOS had laid down in the makeshift maintenance bed that had been built for her, she hadn‘t expected anything to happen but for her power cells to be recharged like they normally would be. That, unfortunately, was not the case.

Upon waking, her systems had been… altered. Currently, all life signs were marked as hostile and her recognition software had been shutdown. Profiles of each individual she had met in the tower were sealed and she could access them. Priority programming went to combat and eliminating everything marked as a threat. She climbed out of the maintenance bed and used her transfer system to summon her scythe into existence.

And then she stalked out into the halls, visor down and blocking sight of her face and eyes. KOS-MOS walks normally, acts normal really, until she finds someone who is marked as a target. Meaning anyone and everyone.

Raphael gave her a puzzled look as he walked backwards, in response to her pulling a scythe out from nowhere and walking towards him. Well..that was interesting. He'd like to know how she could do that.

"..Can you not speak?"

..When faced with danger, Raphael wouldn't be able to fight. He wasn't Uriel, he was an Angel of healing and knowledge. So..he only had two defenses for dangerous things.

..The first of which would get him killed.

Sorry, she can't speak a word. Would it help any if she could though? Whatever she said would likely include a list of victims and identify him as her next one. So really, it was better that she was silent.

Whatever obstacles she passed as she stalked towards him were carelessly and roughly shoved aside. That should be a fairly definitive sign of her intentions and a hint that he should run like hell. The second should be the fresh and dried blood that covered parts of her body and hair.

Raphael did not miss the blood that coated her body. While he had seen quite a bit of carnage in his life, he didn't like it-he knew what it meant, and what her intentions towards him were.

So, he took up defensive measure number one: he turned into a swan, hoping that this would surprise her enough so that he could grab an opening and flee.

It certainly set her mentally off balance for a moment but she'd seen Cherenkov turn into a Gnosis, so this only bought him a few seconds. By the end of those few seconds, KOS-MOS kicked at the swan hard enough to knock him into a wall before stalking slowly towards him. While normally, KOS-MOS wouldn't even bother with an animal, she wasn't stupid. She could comprehend that, somehow, her most recent target had become this one.

It looked like that tactic had failed. Both the kick and the wall hurt terribly, but he had one last defensive measure to take: put on his spirit body. There, no one could touch or harm you.

However, he had to turn into a human first..which he did. Hopefully this girl would give him enough time to transform again..

Oh no, KOS-MOS wasn't falling for that again. Human or swan, KOS-MOS didn't even pause in her approach. Drawing her pistol, she aimed towards him and fired a shot, two shots and then a third. The android wasn't in the mood to take any changes and while energy based weapons sometimes caused less damage than ballistics, it would hurt like hell if it didn't kill him.

The first two shots hit him, and the others passed through his spiritual body. Despite the pain and the blood, he had managed to transform.

However, in this state, that might not have been enough. Not used to pain of any sort-he was an Angel of healing-he feel to the floor, trying to control himself, trying to force himself to heal.

"So..this is what..physical pain feels like..it is..terrible."

..He would die a few minutes later of blood loss.

That wasn't good enough, KOS-MOS couldn't chance leaving anything or anyone alive. The sudden change was reminicent of Gnosis so her only choice then was to use the Hilbert Effect. Seconds later, a flash of energy would envelop the room, the entire floor, the one above and below it as well most likely, in order to attempt to force him back into a physical manifestation of himself.

Sadly, the Hilbert Effect had no effect on Raphael. His spiritual body did not reside in any Imaginary Numbers Domain, so it did not work. However, as he died, he got so weak that he couldn't maintain his spirit body. As he faded away, it transformed back due to his weakness. He did not stir.

Raphael had died.
