Player Plot: KOS-MOS rampage.
Characters: KOS-MOS (
kosmic_angel) and everyone she’s going to kill.
Setting: All over the tower, your choices. Today only!
Format: prose to start but I’ll switch
Summary: Shion and Allen tried to build KOS-MOS a maintenance bed and it has some… unexpected difficulties. Like KOS-MOS going Archetype mode and killing everyone in sight. RUN!
Warnings: There’s going to be a lot of dying and it’s going to get gory.
When KOS-MOS had laid down in the makeshift maintenance bed that had been built for her, she hadn‘t expected anything to happen but for her power cells to be recharged like they normally would be. That, unfortunately, was not the case.
Upon waking, her systems had been… altered. Currently, all life signs were marked as hostile and her recognition software had been shutdown. Profiles of each individual she had met in the tower were sealed and she could access them. Priority programming went to combat and eliminating everything marked as a threat. She climbed out of the maintenance bed and used her transfer system to summon her scythe into existence.
And then she stalked out into the halls, visor down and blocking sight of her face and eyes. KOS-MOS walks normally, acts normal really, until she finds someone who is marked as a target. Meaning anyone and everyone.

Outside of the Third Floor
It was a little strange talking to KOS-MOS after what she had learned..but it probably didn't change much as far as their relationship went. They were still friends, as far as Tohko was concerned.
"Good morning, KOS-MOS! What's up with the scythe?"
no subject
Immediately she came up as an enemy target and KOS-MOS reached out to grab her. Small targets were often quick and while KOS-MOS could catch her easily enough, it wasn't efficient to try to catch her opponent. As she reached to grab Tohko though, her scythe disappeared. It was overkill, really, using it. Her handgun would be easily to terminate her.
no subject
"KOS-MOS, what's wrong? Are you feeling okay?"
no subject
As Tohko made to run, KOS-MOS lunged forward to grab a hold of Tohko. Any limb would do, she only had to get a hold of her and that would be it, she wouldn't be able to break the androids hold on her.

Did someone order a rescue?
Tohko did!~ Thank you very much..she keeps getting into trouble.
DAMMIT SHE WAS HAVING 'FUN' WILHELM
Sorry, he has 'plans.'
Plans that Tohko would like to find out about.
Plans that everyone in the Xenocast would probably like to know too.

Gymnasium Floor 39
Like books are the whetstone for the mind, so the gym is the same for ones physical condition and Sephiroth isn't about to let that fall beneath his own perfectionist standards. A finely tuned tool needed to remain exactly that, in reality, Sephiroth clearly needed to push himself harder - an unlucky scrape with an overpowered, misled mage with a grudge perhaps but it had still brought him to his knees. It couldn't be allowed to happen again.
As KOS-MOS would approach, Sephiroth was using the more spacious end of the Gymnasium for technique sharpening. Masamune, arms and bare muscled torso fluidly danced from one ready stance to the next, connecting attacks with nothing but air and the accompanying sing of the long keen edge.
no subject
He wasn't much for the gym himself, much more often encountered in the lab or the morgue, but he was not unfamiliar with the floor. He watched Sephiroth work idly. Hojo noted the intensity of his efforts. He was certainly enthusiastic today. It was interesting enough to study Sephiroth's behavior, considering his studies of the Tower had been fruitless lately. Here, at least, was an experiment all his own, his own creation. But even Hojo had his limits, and Sephiroth's training was a fairly repetitive sight.
"Is this what you intend to do all day? I ask merely out of curiosity." He was marking things down on a clipboard, more out of habit than anything else. "You should be in peak form regardless, and this is hardly a test for one of your talents." Such encouraging words from Hojo. Truly, he was an excellent parent.
no subject
Oh Shion, you really did put a lot of work into her, didn't you?
Immediately, arm changed into a blade and she darted forward to meet Sephiroth's weapon, disregarding Hojo for the time being. He could be dealt with after. The greater threat took priority, her systems determined.
no subject
But there wasn't anything to do about it really, sure he could kill him but he'd only just come back. And probably be even more in his face about it.
Sephiroth had only a few moments to register KOS-MOS' approach before having to drop the stance he was currently in to be able to stance back and block the incoming blade from the android. He took the momentum from the block and forced it back up into the connected blades in order to force his attacker back and get the range he needed to counter attack. Which he would follow with, without hesitation in a sweeping upward slash.

Meadow: Floor 25
Of course, he's not a big fan of robots. Especially ones walking in on him while he's in the middle of something so he ends up stopping.]
What do you want?

HOW ABOUT FLOOR 12?
"No... It... It can't happen! Not again..."
Her handheld fell to the floor and she raced from the room. At first, she was so sick with dread that she simply ran aimlessly, her mind racing. But it was when she ended up in front of the elevator that she realized starting from the bottom up would probably be the best option. It always seemed that there were more people on the lower floors, and if it was anything like the last time, KOS-MOS would seek them out.
When she reached the cafeteria floor, she began her ascent by stairs, scanning each room quickly for any signs of the android before moving on. When she reached the twelfth floor, she stopped. She clenched her fists and readied her MWS, as tears began to spill down her cheeks. The sight of the bloodied android was almost too much for her. But she had to stop her. Again. Just like last time, no matter how painful it was, it was her duty.
"I'm sorry, KOS-MOS..."
And she rushed at the berserking robot.
THAT WORKS!
As messed up as her programming currently was though, that was all it was trying to determine. Everyone was a threat, no one could survive. It was necessary. The MWS didn't seem like it would be an effective or efficient weapon against her, she could avoid the attacks despite the type of training Shion had gone through. And since Shion was the one rushing at her, she simply stayed put and switched out her chain gun for the scythe and blocked the attack before shoving the woman back from her and swiping at her with the blade.
no subject
WHERE'S A GUN WHEN YOU NEED IT?It was lucky she had been knocked backward, otherwise she would most likely be dead. But the momentum made it possible for her to stumble out of KOS-MOS's range... Almost, anyway. As she twisted away, the blade caught her across the upper arm.
The wound was deep, and it didn't take long for blood to begin to drip from the bottom of her jacket sleeve, but Shion merely winced. Her breathing might have been a bit more labored, but really, she had experienced worse.
"KOS-MOS, that's enough! You need to stop this, right now!"
She raised her MWS, and the front opened up to create a blade of energy. With one more deep breath, Shion darted forward again, keeping her eyes on the scythe. She knew she was at a disadvantage. Even with her weapon, her speed wasn't a match for KOS-MOS's by any stretch of the imagination. But maybe, she hoped, somewhere inside, KOS-MOS had heard her. And maybe just that would slow her down for a moment while Shion aimed for her head.
no subject
NOT HERE LOLOLOLOL!Sorry Shion, your words are heard but they aren't really understood. There's only one thing she understands and that is she has to kill. And since there's blood already seeping from her wound, KOS-MOS' systems are redetermining the threat level Shion possesses. It doesn't lower by much but it does. Injuries typically decrease the effectiveness of any organic being in terms of combat.
As Shion attacked again, KOS-MOS dodged, using her hand to block the MWS blade attack, scythe vanishing and R-BLADE forming in an attempt to stab her. She was more advanced than the Archetype, she wasn't as vulnerable as it had been. Not as prone to leaving openings like that.

Bugger, some of you little bastards are fast.KOS-MOS didn't answer his question, she couldn't. The Archetype programming didn't include communication. It included advanced combat systems though, now adapted to the more advanced KOS-MOS system. Have a slightly bloody android lunging towards Taro, arm shifting into the shape of a blade.

However..when he sensed and saw the android walking in, he knew she wasn't human..but there was a soul stuck in there. Whose soul, he didn't know.
"..Who are you?"
Re: Floor 2
Taking her scythe from what was effectively hammerspace, she didn't answer Raphael and stalked quietly, dangerously, towards him. Good thing they were in the infirmary or maybe not. It certainly was symbolic, in a way.
Floor 2
"..Can you not speak?"
..When faced with danger, Raphael wouldn't be able to fight. He wasn't Uriel, he was an Angel of healing and knowledge. So..he only had two defenses for dangerous things.
..The first of which would get him killed.
