sixth prayer
Characters: Kyoko Sakura and you
Setting: A bunch of new floors.
Format: Floor One Hundred, Eighty-Three, Eighty-One, Sixty-Three, Fifty-Four & Kitchen
Summary: Exploring the new floors! Also fondue.
Warnings: Some possibly squicky organ stuff on eighty-three, otherwise probably none?
Floor One Hundred
Kyoko stood at the top of the staircase, alternating between staring down into the seemingly-empty room below, the staircase below, and over her shoulder for anyone (or, needless to say anything that might be coming through. She took large bites out of the sandwich in her hand. Judging by the way she's fidgeting, tapping her foot impatiently, one might be able to gather that she's waiting for someone.
Floor Eighty-Three
If it seemed too good to be true, it normally was. Kyoko knew that all too well (and in this place, who could expect anything less?) So it was with a certain amount of skepticism that she approached this floor, which had piles of clothes free for the taking. She almost passed it up entirely, but curiosity inevitably got the best of her and she found herself sifting through one of the many piles. Eventually she procured a jacket from it, experimentally slid a jacket on.
Whatever she might have been expecting, though, it certainly wasn't to find herself wearing what might have been a living animal. To feel organs pressing down on her, disgusting, slimey things beating and squirming, contracting and expanding and living off of her. It was as though another creature, unaware of it's own death, were trying to claim her body for it's own. She shrugged it off, tore it off, threw it away with perhaps more force than necessary.
She glared at it, as though expecting it to start moving of it's own accord. To crawl back onto her and finish the job it'd started. Of course, to look at it now, that was certainly impossible. It was just a jacket, a lump of fabric and thread, and that was perhaps the most unsettling thing of all.
Floor Eighty-One
Nearly twenty floors later, stumbling upon the lounge was a welcome change of pace and she was no in no hurry to leave it. She searched the room carefully, searching for anything out of the ordinary and finding nothing outside of the unusual decision to leave the windows bulging out. She couldn't look down for too long; it was unsettling to think about just how high this place went, how such a thing could even be possible.
Instead she left it behind, choosing to sprawl out on one of the couches. She popped chalky candy hearts into her mouth one after another and idly wondered how many floors were left to check out.
Floor Sixty-Three
It was unsettling to so suddenly find herself underwater; so much so that Kyoko nearly turned back and avoided the floor altogether. She couldn't swim and didn't particularly care for any of the new water-centric floors, but this one least of all. Still, she steeled her resolve and stepped down the stairs, wondering if it might not be something akin to the aquarium. There were enough fish for that.
Her attempts to touch the glass that normally been in place proved that theory. She drew her hand back as though it were on fire upon touching not glass, but water. Wasn't one floor with the magically floating shtick enough?
Floor Fifty-Four
The dolls looked so real. It was as though they could come to life at any second, completely like anything Kyoko had ever seen. No expense had been spared in crafting them, right down to the details on their outfits. So much so that Kyoko had to lift one up, listen to the sounds of plastic limbs and watch it's head loll to confirm that it was just a doll. She wondered what Mami would think of this floor. She seemed to be the kind of person to be into this sorta thing.
Setting it down, she decided it'd probably be better if nobody took interest in them. These things would probably spring to life and kill you, like something out of a crappy grade-B horror movie.
Kitchen
Much later in the day, Kyoko can be found in the kitchen, in front of the stove. The sweet smell of melted chocolate wafted through the room and anyone who cared to come over and look would find that she was stirring fondue. There's a bowl filled with fruits sitting on the counter next to her. A reward for all of her hard work, perhaps? Not like she's ever needed a reason to treat herself.

Not that chaos's face showed that he knew any of this. He just kept smiling kindly as he walked down the stairs, not going into the water yet.
"Are you alright? The water will not hurt you."

(ooc: Just a small note, her soul is actually in the ring in her finger, rather than her hair pin!)
And that's what I get for jumping to conclusions. I'm so sorry..><;
It's fine! ♥ I just wanted you to know.
Alright then! Thank you! <3

He did allow himself to grow curious at what Kyoko was making. Not bad for someone so young.

She picked up one of the dolls, inspecting it carefully. It really wasn't like one of Mirai's at all, on closer inspection. Mirai's bears all had something these didn't - love.
Saki put the doll back down, only then catching a glimpse of the other girl. The magic signature was the exact same as hers, she could tell that much, but she wasn't going to bring it up first.]
I don't like these dolls. They've got a weird air about them, don't they?

I don't trust anything that comes from this messed up place, y'know. They probably spring to life and try to put a knife in ya soon as your back's turned. [She turns one around and pushes it over with one hand, as though giving a demonstration.] Or something stupid like that. That's how it always goes in those kinds of stories, isn't it?

It made her sick with anger.
That's not why she stops to peer into Floor Eighty-Three, though. Its the flurry of movement she spots when the red-haired girl throws off the jacket. Its a bit jarring, watching herself move like that -- but then, she had already been made aware of the fact that there was another version of her here. People usually greated her that way.
"Oh I'm sorry, I must have the wrong Sakura-san."
What a load of crap.]
Hey.
[No point in putting it off any longer. There was no way to tell if this Kyoko knew about her already, but there had to be some consistency somewhere. All the different time shenganigans going around were starting to give her a wicked headache.]

Even so, hearing her own voice coming from another person's mouth is an unusual experience. She spins around and it's as though she's looking straight into a mirror. For a few seconds she wonders if it's not just another hallucination. After putting on a living animal (it isn't just her imagination, she doesn't want to accept that, because that means something's wrong with her,) it very well could be. But it's not and it won't be, and that's a relief and a frustration all at once.
At least it wasn't another empty grave.]
...Yo.
[She stares at her counterpart, scrutinizing her.]
Just how long have you been hanging around here?

She wasn't injured; not past a few scrapes and bruises anyways and she stomped into the kitchen stopping when she saw someone was already there.
And the kitchen smelled delicious. She wandered over and looked into the pan, frowning, "What do that even be?"

Are you making that for someone? [ Because chocolate obviously equals Valentine's Day... ]

[She smirks. Truthfully, the thought of actually doing something for Valentine's Day hasn't even crossed her mind. Really, the only reason she is even aware of it was the endless amount of hearts and sweets that Ruana is providing this month. She doesn't particularly mind the company though.]
