Characters: Riku (
justabignobody), Terra (
earthshards) and everyone else who's blowing off steam that night
Setting: all across the tower, night time after the Q&A
Format: Go for whatever you want! /o/
Summary: After that little 'Q&A', Riku needs to blow off some steam. He's unlikely to be the only one.
Warnings: Violence, fighting, monsters all across the board!!!
[Well... for all that this meeting earlier in the day had been informative(-ish), thanks to certain situations with certain administrators, Riku really feels like punching something at the end of it, frustration and anger making his finger twitch restlessly.
It's really only good that he's long stopped acting on that kind of feelings, has learned to channel them into Darkness, into power, instead. It's really a good thing that the Tower provides them with outlets. And that Riku doesn't have a shift to work tonight.
Highwind is fluttering just over his shoulder, chirping softly as he walks down the stairs, hand tight around his Keyblade.
It's time to take out some monsters.]

Yet she's unfamiliar with these enemies, despite scanning. Which is why when she dodges the massive sparks, she gives one glance to Riku before focusing on the fight. This one seemed distant toward her for one reason or another. Her only question was....why?]

He takes a step forward, Way to the Dawn materializing in a flash of black-white.]
...Need a hand?

Yet this isn't her Riku, so trying to talk to him through Eudora or this little guy here wouldn't work. Hm...]
I'm unfamiliar with these monsters, so yes.
[All said while not stopping. Just using a Renewal Barrier instead. (They are likely not happy with the backlash.)]

That should help some at least, right? 83]

Aqua spared a faint smile at that, not even inwardly cringing at the darkness use before using the husks' lowered defense to the advantage with a few Fission Firagas (her Terra isn't around; she can get away with this).]

Riku doesn't really take notice of her reaction to his using Darkness - most people in the tower don't seem to care and Riku certainly has stopped caring about what people think of it (at least while he's in a battle situation); it's his element of choice, the one that he has most skill with (though he is quickly catching up to the others thanks to Terra). Besides, for now it's more important to clear out the floor, right?
Hopefully, that won't take all that long. He'll back up her Fission Firagas with a Fira or two for that.]

With the two of them utilizing Fire magic and other spells without much difficulty, it shouldn't take long at all. Though with how they are sparking, Aqua has decided not to use many skill that could potentially have her growing too close to them. Distance was key.
That was her thought process a few Glacier spells ago.]

Distance is indeed the name of the game, though it's admittedly one that Riku isn't quite used to - he is more a close-to-mid-distance fighter himself. But well, he might as well get some practice on this in, right?
Right now he keeps switching between Blizzard and Fire spells - might as well make this practice in more sense than one - while Highwind keeps hindering their opponents by casting Sleepra, Zero Graviga and Confusing Waves, while dodging around swiftly and cheerfully.
There are quite a few advantages to being the only one with the ability to fly on both sides.]

Practice makes perfect! And it is definitely something even Aqua could get more of as time went on. Switching between Fire, Blizzard, and Time magic, she keeps her distance (and likely grows a little closer to Riku) before she jumps into the air, summoning several orbs of light. One by one, she smacks them towards their targets without a second thought.
At least she can rift and hover. It's likely kept her from a few electrical burns, at this rate.]

Riku pauses for just a second, watching as she summons those light orbs (and he may or may not look kind of very impressed), but is abruptly snapped back into the battle when a bolt of electricity hits him and he gasps in pain when the current painfully races along his nerves.
Highwind is at his side a second later, flinging out another Zero Graviga to clear up their immediate surroundings for a moment while Riku regains his bearings and casts Cure on himself before attacking with new vigor, because really that just now had served him right for not paying attention.
He's not going to make that mistake any time soon again. :|]

Here!
[-she raises her Keyblade up into the air, and a fireworks display begins. Yet as the sparks fall on them and Highwind, it's almost as though a magical shield forms over their skin and clothing before she transforms her blade into a sort of crossbow. The monster she shoots with an arrow of light does not seem to like that...]

They ought to reach the end of it soon, right?]
