Summary: ...in which Eridan tries his hand at the arcane, mystic majicks of baking for the sake of his matesprit. It goes as well as you'd expect.
Warnings: FLOUR. FLOUR AND BUTTER EVERYWHERE.

[...well. That sure just happened.

Eridan blinks slowly, as the cloud of white slowly descends onto the floor. He'd never known bags of flour were even explosive. Like. Okay. Maybe he'd tugged a little too hard. Maybe. But that's not a good enough reason for it to explode on his face. The recipe he was working off from didn't say anything about exploding bags of flour.

He just stands there for a moment, W E L P all but written all over his face. Somehow, he thinks, this little project might turn out to be a little more complicated than anticipated.]

Uh, okay.

[Eridan offers his bowl to hers.]

Do the honors?

[terreifying]

[She quickly pours the liquid into Eridan's bowl.]

Now you go. Mix it all together!

[chronomancer]

Alright.

[He's so very careful with the mixing. Very slow. He's trying not to make a mess.]

...uh, how do you know when it's ready?

[terreifying]

When's it's all doughy. I think.

[Yeah, not much ideas there either.]

[chronomancer]

Doughy.

[Eridan poured all his dubiousness into one look as he peered into the bowl.]

Okay, doughy works.

[terreifying]

And make sure it's all the same color.

[She rocks on the balls of her heels, watching him.]

[chronomancer]

I'm pretty sure we'd need to do something very wrong for it to change color right now.

[terreifying]

That's right.

...But I'm sure it won't go very wrong. Not even if it's Eridan.

[chronomancer]

...I would be very fucking offended over that statement if it weren't basically truth.

[terreifying]

[She continues to watch him stirring at the mix. There's a moment of silence before she starts speaking again, this time on a different subject.]

...Hey, what's this friend you wanna make cookies for like?

[chronomancer]

...oh.

[Excuse him while his entire face goes green. He hunches over the mixing bowl in embarrassment and mutters something under his breath.]

[terreifying]

[She giggles and nods.]

I get it! They must be really, really special!

[chronomancer]

[Eridan makes a strangled sound, not unlike a squawk.]

...yeah. Yeah, he is.

[terreifying]

Him? What's his name?

[Out of all his friends, she can only remember Jade and Gamzee.]

...Is it that guy with the horns that curve like this?

[She holds her hands at the side of her head, curling her index fingers so they arch like Gamzee's horns.]

[chronomancer]

[Eridan chuckles, still blushing.]

Nah. That's Gamzee. This are for Equius.

[Yup, still blushing and looking self-conscious.]

He's really tall and his horns look like arrows.

[terreifying]

[She nods.]

I've never met him before. But he must be cool if he's your friend, right?
