006 ♃ i'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and all your demons
Characters: Sheba, Felix, and anyone they happen to encounter!
Setting: Beginning in Felix's room (03-12), and then continuing on to the cafeteria (1st floor), the aquarium (10th floor), the music room (28th floor), and the beach (62nd floor).
Format: Action, if only for the sake of responding quickly. /nodnod If you'd really prefer another format, we can match!
Summary: Ever since hearing that strange sound from those oddly-shaped tape recorders, Sheba's had the strangest feeling that she needs to go keep an eye on Felix... and that she needs to make it absolutely clear to the others in the Tower that Felix is under her protection. Forcible dragging of a Venus Adept soon commences.
Warnings: This thread has the potential to get really creepy really fast, depending on how the effects from the tape recorders play out. Also, the tape recorder Sheba hears will cause her to slowly shift into the "Oh, Felix! <3" kind of mindset fandumb seems to think she has by default, so I apologize for that. I'll edit this as more specifics pop up. | NOTE: Though Felix and Sheba will default to responding to whoever tags in together, if your character wants to talk to just one of them at a time that's fine - just indicate it in your comment with "Felix only" or "Sheba only"! (Also there may be a few hours where I don't respond at all because I'll be afk tonight so feel free to pretend Sheba's in the background and just interact with Felix once I leave; Sheba will jump back in when I return!)
[Room 03-12; Closed to Felix]
Felix!
[It probably wasn't strange to see Sheba outside of Felix's room anymore; she did have a way of just inviting herself over. So there was nothing outwardly wrong with Sheba knocking on the door, really. She couldn't really explain why the urge to go check on him was so strong... it just was. Friends worried about their friends' safety, right?]
Are you in there right now? It's me, Sheba!
[Floor 01; Open]
[The first stop after collecting Felix is the cafeteria. It's important to get enough to eat, after all! It would be much harder to keep Felix safe if he was hungry and got distracted, or if she was too distracted to look out for him... heaven forbid that should ever happen.
She quickly scans the cafeteria to make sure it's safe before she pulls him in. It wasn't empty - that was good, because if they ran into the right people she would be able to tell them what they needed to know. But it wasn't so full that it would be dangerous either.]
What do you feel like eating? I can go get it!
[She's all smiles - maybe she's just in a good mood today?]
[Floor 10; Open]
[After eating, it was always good to take some time to relax. Sheba has, once again, taken Felix by the hand to lead him up the stairs, and soon enough they find themselves on the floor with the aquarium.
She knew he liked dolphins... hopefully there would be some here.]
I've been up here a few times already, but it keeps surprising me how impressive this all is.
[She lets go of his hand to gesture at the aquatic creatures within the suspended "tanks" of water.]
It's nice of the Administrators to give us a place like this, I guess... You like this floor, don't you?
[Her expression is a little anxious, like she's looking for his approval.]
[Floor 28; Open]
[The search for other people and other places has finally brought Sheba and Felix to the music room. As they walk inside, Sheba lets go of Felix's hand after a moment or two's hesitation, then walks to a harp that looks to be about as big as she is.
She kneels down next to it and hesitantly plucks at one of the strings.]
Do you know how to play any of these things, Felix? I never learned... I always thought it would have been nice to, though.
[She tilts her head to the side, evidently considering something.]
I heard people usually like it when people play music for them... do you think that's true? Would you like to hear someone play for you?
[Floor 62; Open]
[Finally, they come to the beach. This time Sheba doesn't let go of Felix's hand as they step out onto the floor - in fact, her grip is a little tighter than before, like she's almost afraid to be separated from him... or afraid that he'll just go.
Oh, what was she thinking? These floors were dangerous. Maybe she should just have taken him back up to his room... the monsters didn't go there, did they?
No, she reminded herself, But Allen is in that room. I saw his name on the door... Something could happen. What if he was up there and the Fourteenth Noah emerged? Felix is safer when he's with me.
With that thought in mind, she led him out towards the water.]
It's pretty, don't you think? I'm not sure how they do all this. But... it's nice to be able to see the ocean again.

Room 03-12
He heads to the door and opens it, already looking concerned.]
Yeah, I'm here. What's wrong? Did something happen again?
---
[ooc: ALSO just feel free to interrupt Sheba in the other rooms. Felix is probably looking some mix of worried and mortified at what she's doing.
Except for when he sees dolphins.]no subject
[She smiles at him. It's clear that there's nothing outwardly wrong - no cuts, no bruises, no broken bones. Just Sheba, who looks very glad to see that Felix isn't hurt, either.]
I just wanted to see how you were doing... it's a little strange being a whole floor apart now.
[She was used to the five of them staying close together - him, her, Jenna, Piers, Kraden...]
Have you eaten yet? I thought maybe we could get breakfast together.
no subject
I don't think you can blame me for that.
[He does relax a bit, but he's still feeling...uneasy for some reason.]
It is different than before, but it's been like this for a few weeks now. But I haven't had anything just yet, so that's fine.
no subject
The blood was a one-time thing. [Then her gaze flicks to the plate bearing the names of all the people in 3-12 - and she grins.] Just ask Allen about it if you don't believe me. It won't happen again.
[A small part of her was wondering what she just said, but it was overshadowed by the part of her that was beaming and reaching out for Felix's hand.]
Come on! Let's get some food, then. I'm really hungry, and we have to keep our strength up in this place!
no subject
Allen? What does he know about that? [BIG BROTHER INSTINCTS GO. He's not moving from the spot he's standing in until he gets an answer, either. Sorry, Sheba.]
no subject
[She wouldn't have even dreamed of saying such a thing normally, but... right now, she just felt the need to make sure he was aware of every possible danger. Actually, maybe it would be better if he wasn't staying in this room, at least until she could be sure Allen wasn't a danger...
Oh, but right now they needed to get some food in him!]
Felix, come on. You haven't eaten yet... we should hurry before they stop serving breakfast.
no subject
[Hi, older brother protag instincts taking over.]
no subject
[And she just smiles brightly at him.]
Aren't you even a little hungry? You should eat!
[01 Kitchens]
At the sound of the familiar voice, he looks up. There's just about the only person he doesn't feel terrible to see right now, oh and Felix too.]
Morning, you two.
[Kind of surprising to see Sheba in the kitchens... Oh well.]
no subject
Still, coming across one of the few familiar faces to him here did make him feel a bit better. Maybe having another person around would help him spot what was off about Sheba.]
Good morning. What are you making?
no subject
[She sounds and looks cheerful enough, but there's just the slightest bit of an edge to her voice. She looks between Asch and Felix for a moment, and apparently deciding that neither Asch, the teakettle, or the bowl of batter pose much of a threat for the moment, she takes a few quick steps to come closer to Asch and the stove.
A moment passes, and she peers into the bowl. Pancake batter, strawberries... good. Could she trust Asch's cooking? She'd eaten it herself, but was it safe enough to serve Felix? ...maybe. She'd have to wait and see. Her curiosity satisfied, she goes back to stand by him. Sorry, Felix - she's definitely sticking close.]
That's right, you two have met before... [Well, yeah, Sheba, it was sort of the whole reason you even found Felix again. Her voice trails off and she looks thoughtful, and then she smiles again. But there's definitely something a little off about it - the smile doesn't quite reach her eyes.] Have you spent much time together when I'm not around?
Floor 28
[An attentive one will find Mr. Walker again at that stark white piano. He's not aware of anyone, at least not at first, but wouldn't react if he knew or not, anyway.]
[Timcanpy flutters around the two, though, excited almost.]
no subject
Allen? I need to ask you about something.
no subject
[She recognizes Timcanpy as he flutters around them, but that doesn't keep her from frowning a little as he veers just slightly too close to Felix's head. She reaches up quickly to try and grab him - whether she succeeds or not, though, the staccato of the piano and Felix walking towards it causes her to divert her attention from the creature, and she hurries after him.]
Felix, wait!
[She makes an attempt to grab for his arm to slow him down so she can put herself between the two of them. She's eyeing Allen warily - the last time she'd encountered him at the same time as any sort of music, it had gone sour very quickly.
Allen didn't look like the 14th Noah this time, but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous...]
Don't get too close. I'm not sure it's safe...
no subject
Oh, hello, Felix.
[Timcanpy flutters over to his shoulder as he looks back, hands still playing.] What is it?
wow I hate weekends sorry
...Allen certainly seemed odd to him. It was just making him more suspicious about what she had told him now.]
Sheba told me to ask you about why she wouldn't get covered in blood again. Why?
/casually jumps in because the muse is annoying
[And also it's not like Allen gets possessed by the 14th and throws pews at her which causes her to get knocked into a bunch of blood all the time, either.]
...MONEY!
[He raises a brow after saying this, reaffirming his attention to Felix.]
I don't remember, but I think Sheba accidentally slipped on something like blood not too long ago. And I think I kind of made her do it, actually, heh. *smiles gently*
no subject
How exactly did you make her slip on blood?
[It's pretty obvious that he's not buying this explanation.]
no subject
Or else I'll be really angry with you.
[...well that's an... interesting expression, Sheba. Please stop making it.]
no subject
[His face blanches as he suddenly hears Sheba's yelling and his face widens in comical surprise.]
Erm, n-not a problem! Really! Neither of me will do it!
