A Rude Awakening..

Setting: Part 1: Room 2-06 during the morning after Valentine's Day, Part 2: The cafeteria

Summary: First part is Luffy is waking up and discovering his current whereabouts, the second half is Luffy doing what he does best

Part 1:
[It had been a good rest, or at least it felt like one. As his eyes slowly opened, Luffy sat up and rubbed the sleep from his view. It took a moment or two to kick in that he wasn't where he remembered falling asleep, but this kind of thing had happened before.

Noticing that there were three other beds, Luffy got to his feet and buzz-lined over to each of them. Taking hold of whomever may be trying to rest, the young pirate shook them in order to wake them abruptly.]

"HEY! ZORO! USOPP! SANJI! WAKE UP!!"

Part 2:

[With what little information he had been given, he had miraculously found the cafeteria. Not the best with navigating, Luffy cried out with joy and awe as he rushed into the mess hall with high hopes.

Lines didn't seem to concern him, simply walking up to the front and grabbing whatever portions of oatmeal he could get into his arms. There's quite a ruckus in the proceeding, a bit of barking on Luffy's end as he argues with the chefs lack of meat at the present time. Satisfied in the short term with his haul, he made his way to the closest seat and began to gorge himself on the nurishing gruel. He isn't the most plesant site to see while he eats, but there is something comical about how frantic he eats. He'll ocassionally look up at those who pass by, nodding his head in greeting.

Every once in a while, his arm will unnaturally stretch out and snag a bowl of oatmeal from across the room. He thieves the oatmeal in timed grabs, watching the kitchen staff carefully to make sure they don't see him. For everyone else in the cafeteria, he doesn't seem to give any sort of care.]

It was one of the nights that Suzaku had actually gone to bed, the shard of spear Diarmuid had given him reminding him that he was supposed to be taking better care of himself.

He woke with a start when he was shaken by a shouting boy, awake and on his feet within moments. "What's wrong?"

Luffy turned around sharply, his eyes blinking as if he were frozen in the deepest of thoughts.

His jaw suddenly dropped, seeing that the young man before him was no one he had ever met before.

"..When's breakfast?"

Well... Suzaku had greeted a few newcomers to the tower over the time he had been here, and yet this was the first time that this particular question had been asked first...

"Now, it's served for a few hours in the morning. On the bottom floor in the cafeteria, but you will have to eat oatmeal first."

[gomu_ningen]

[Yeah, poor Suzaku. Luffy's simply making a face of utter shock and horror right now. Reaching out with both arms, the young would-be Pirate King grabs his fellow room mate once more and stares him down, eye to eye.]

"Wait.. Who are you? Where am I?! And what is this "oatmeal"?! They have meat here, right?!"

[Suzaku stiffens but doesn't sense any danger, the man doesn't angry, just panicked, so Suzaku doesn't pull away, just answers the questions.]

I am Suzaku Kururugi, you are in a tower that we can't escape, brought here by people who claim to have saved us from our destroyed worlds. You have a note. [He nodded towards the bedside table.] Oatmeal is a hot meal made of oats and milk or water, it's very plain but filling. Yes they have meat but you will be ill if you don't eat the oatmeal first. You will have some of your belongings in the trunk at the end of your bed.

[Luffy still keeps a tight hold of him, ripping the covers off of the bed with a free hand to see what is underneath.]

"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH USOPP?! IS CHOPPER HIDING UNDER HERE?!"

[swordofzero]

[Through this all Suzaku remains impassive, making no move to detach his panicked new roommate.] Are those people you knew from home? They might be here, though I have never met anyone called Usopp or Chopper.

[Luffy backs off, looking a bit somber now that he is caught up on his present circumstance.. some what.]

"Y-Yeah. They're part of my crew."

[Luffy hops off of Suzaku's bed, darting back to his own. He rummages through the trunk at the end of his mattress, digging out his clothing, but more importantly his "treasure".]

"AH! Thank goodness! I was worried there for a moment!"

[Turning his head back around, he looks at Suzaku with a grin as he rubs his stomach.]

"I'm hungry. You wanna' go grab some food?"

[swordofzero]

[Suzaku stepped back as well once he was released, straightening his flight suit and cloak, letting his new roommate look through his trunk.

At the question he nodded, he wasn't actually hungry but he had serious doubts about this mans chances of making it down all one hundred floors without being killed.] Alright, I'll show you the way to the cafeteria.

Badass shades look badass XD

[Luffy nodded his head obediently, watching Suzaku's move and following accordingly. Placing the hat upon his head, he stuck his tongue out of his mouth like a panting dog, lurching forward as he walked.]

"Is the food close by? I don't think I can make it if it's far away~!"

They are the most badass

The cafeteria is a hundred and three floors down. [Suzaku informed him.] But we can take the elevator if you want.

"Neh? Elevator? What's that? Will it get us down there quicker?"

part 2 [sob]

[lolighostgirl]

[Perona already had her deal with oatmeal the other day and thank god that was over. It was the most disgusting thing she had ever had to swallow. Well then, lets see who she can troll today.

As she passed by in the cafeteria, she saw an arm stretch for a split second before it went back. Now why did that look familiar. Then she saw another one doing the same but this time it had a bowl. She decided to watch where the armed ended back to and then she saw the straw hat.

Wait.

Cue the face.]

EHHHHHHHHHHH?!

Re: part 2 [sob]

[And there he was, Straw Hat in all of his glutton-enduced glory. He's still stretching his arms out as he downs bowl after bowl, stopping for only a few seconds to chew down the oatmeal before moving on to the next set of bowls.

Then the sound of surprise caused Luffy to halt in his banquet of cold breakfast, looking up and over to the origin of the sound.]

". . . Huh?"

[lolighostgirl]

[Sob, her rotton luck. Dramatic point of index finger GO. But... no words could come out. The only way Straw Hat got here was the same way like she did.

In other words, he's stuck too. Wait, this could be good, right?]

S-Straw Hat?!

[Luffy swallows the oatmeal, looking plainly at the girl who called his nickname.]

"That's me."

[He pauses, looking her over carefully. He seems rather deep in thought, as if the very world was in jeopardy and his reply to her spelled the very outcome of the future.]

". . .

Who're you?"

It's Ghost Princess, Perona! One of the Mysterious Four of Thriller Bark! Hmph.

[There, she sure showed him.]

[Luffy is still giving her a long, dull stare. The cogs are moving slowly, and finally they click perfectly.]

"Ah~! Moria! You got skinnier!"

[lolighostgirl]

[...Without a second thought, Perona will just pass right through him as if Luffy was hit by one of her Negative Ghosts.]

[gomu_ningen]

[Luffy drops to all fours, his forehead slamming into the ground as the dark thoughts fill his soul, brimming with the blackest negativity imaginable.]

"Nnnnuuuuggghhh.. I'll never get out of here." Meat will never taste good uggh~ I might as well just shrivel up and die.. Shrivel like a raisin.. I'll eat nothing but raisins for the rest of my life!"

Haraharahara~

[Meanwhile Perona will laugh her ass off. Serves him right!]

[After the ghost passes through him, Luffy raises from all fours and points an accusing finger at the prim yet improper princess of darkness.]

"Ah~! The ghost lady! What are you doing here?!"

[lolighostgirl]

And you didn't mind Moria a second ago?!

[Yes, it felt important. Fist of lolita anger. Okay, now she'll calm down with a slight smirk.]

It seems you're stuck just like me. I couldn't leave this building even if I tried to pass through walls here.
