Prologue: The Fall of Magvel...? [open!]
Characters: Amelia and YOU! Yes you! Right over there!
Setting: The Dorms in general (Beginning in 2-07) and then Floor 1!
Format: Leading off with action brackets but I'm cool with everything!
Summary: A young knight and newcomer to the Tower waking up and trying to wrap her head around everything that's suddenly happening. Give her a poke?
Warnings: Oatmeal. Although no seriously, none that I can think of! I'll keep this updated if something unexpected goes down.
Room 2-07 and the Dorms
[... this was not where she'd fallen asleep. To be fair it was somewhat more comfortable than where she remembered being, given after the battle with Formortis the poor girl had passed out from sheer exhaustion and stone floors were not the most forgiving surface to rest on. But somehow she couldn't shake the feeling she'd missed something. A feeling only reinforced by the strange room she had awoken in, the lack of equipment, the bizarre outfit and collar she was now wearing... something was wrong.
And then she found the letter, the contents of which left her sitting on the side of her bed staring blankly at it for a good several minutes. But... they'd won! There was no way the world could have been destroyed! This had to be some manner of trick... but then how did she end up here? Who brought her here? And for that matter where in blazes was she anyways? After several moments of near panic she began to calm herself back down, discipline beginning to kick back in. Whatever was really happening, she wasn't going to get any answers just sitting here. At least there was a bit of good news to be had upon opening her trunk, although it wasn't all of her equipment simply having some of her armor and her sword back was reassuring in itself. To say nothing of Garm, a reminder that even here, even now she was still a soldier of Grado. A lance would have been nice too, but alas there was none to be seen here. All the same as soon as her equipment was in order, it was time to explore a little. Someone else from home had to be here somewhere... right? Perhaps in another room? It seemed excessive given the lack of danger at the moment, but even exploring the halls she'd keep her sword on her belt and Garm slung over a shoulder. Just having them would help keep her calm, she thought.
Perhaps one of her new roommates drops in while she's going over her equipment? Or maybe somebody runs into her as she's exploring the dorm hallways?]
Floor 01:
[Alright this was going nowhere fast. And honestly it had been long enough since she could recall having a decent meal that her distress at being unable to find her comrades wasn't going to stop her from craving a hot meal. And honestly the more she thought about it, the more a delicious hot meal seemed like it'd help calm her nerves somewhat. Yeah, that sounded good.
And it was not good. Now she found herself seated in the cafeteria with a bowl of oatmeal, her sword and axe placed for the moment upon the table as she poked at the oatmeal a few times before taking a single bite. Yep, not great. Not the worst thing she'd ever eaten but tasty it was not. And while she was too polite to complain about it openly the look on her face pretty much said it all. Honestly this seemed downright petty compared to everything earlier, but it was kind of like taking one extra kick in the ribs after losing a major battle. If nothing else this gave the young knight some time to think though, contemplate on what had happened and the potential fate of her world and her friends while gazing off at nothing in particular... and occasionally muse over all the ways this oatmeal could be so much better. Regardless, sooner or later she's going to have to start approaching people. Maybe somebody else knows more about this... and deep down just having a few people to talk to right about now would be nice. At least the tower seems fairly safe for the moment, if far larger than she first expected.
Not an illusion she's likely to have for long.]

[ It must be that time of the month again. Sayaka will approach the stranger before the latter can, really, she's used to talk to random new people whenever she felt like it. Her smile is polite as she moves to sit down across the girl, only a glass of strawberry milk in her hand. ]
Good thing you're eating that thing.
Re: Floor 1
Uhm, yeah I just got here... my name's Amelia, what's yours? And is there any particular reason we have to eat this first? I mean I'm not complaining, but it's kind of...
[She doesn't finish that sentence but the sentiment is pretty obvious. She'd probably mind it more if she wasn't as hungry as she was.]

But he did need to eat, so had headed down to the cafeteria. He couldn't eat the pancakes or waffles, but heading into the kitchen he got a bowl of strawberries and strawberry syrup.
He saw the girl eating oatmeal and went to sit near her giving her a small smile. He was about to speak but then he spotted her weapons and didn't, studying the bowl instead.]
no subject
With that she motioned him over with one hand, carefully moving both of her weapons to one side of the table so he'd have a place to put his bowl down.]
Oh sorry! I'm not taking up too much of the table am I?

[Getting the important things out of the way. Cain was a career soldier and, more importantly, had plenty of training with weapons. especially melee ones, something he excelled at.
But he grabbed a seat at the table, pushing his own massive sword a little to the side so it wouldn't clang on the seat when he lowered himself. It still hit the floor though but he didn't seem to mind. Then he took a sip of tea from his cup.]
You have the training to use those?
Re: Floor 1
Thank you sir! And I couldn't call myself a knight of the Grado Empire if I didn't, although I had to learn a lot on the fly.
[So maybe technically she spent most of her military career to this point fighting against Grado in order to defeat the reanimated corpse of her Emperor who was being controlled by his son who in turn was being controlled by a nightmarish horror bent on the destruction of all mankind.
So it really hasn't been what you'd call a normal career in the army so far.]
That's quite a weapon you've got too, I've never seen anything like it before! [If nothing else, talking about weapons was a comfortable subject for her and as much as she may have disliked senseless violence, she could always appreciate an interesting weapon.]

You're just running a standard version, I'm guessing? Still pretty expensive looking either way.
But a knight already? How old are you?
And now I'm imagining if you somehow grafted a Chainsword into classic FE General armor..
SPACE MARINE
Well Generals are pretty much Medieval Space Marines with less "FOR THE EMPEROR"...

It was quiet for a moment, and like the shot of a gun, Luffy opened his eyes and in a frenzy reached for the bowls and downed one after the other.
With his breakfast snack now done, he turned to his right and looked over at Amelia with a questionable grin.]
"Ahh, you gonna' eat that?"
no subject
But when his attention turns to the bowl in front of her she finds herself pulling the bowl ever so slightly closer, not that she isn't willing to share normally... but he just ate several times more food than she's ever seen one person eat at once and frankly she's pretty hungry herself.]
Err... yeah I am, mister...? [But that's no reason not to be polite and ask for his name!]

"Ah~, Monkey D. Luffy. I'm the man who's gonna' be the Pirate King! Pleased ta' meetcha'!"
[He said it in such a way that assumed she knew about the pirate hierarchy. He knew nothing of "different worlds" or "alternative realities", for that matter he hadn't really been able to read the provided letters he was given when he awoke a few days ago. But that's no matter at the moment!
Happily looking about the rest of the cafeteria with curious eyes, Luffy arose from his seat and slapped his hands upon the table top.]
"Well, don't waste any of it, yeah? Foods hard to come by on the sea!
Now, where can I get more? Do you think they have any meat here? I'm starving!"

Dorm hallways!
She nearly runs right into Amelia when she rounds the corner. A year and a half ago, she'd snap out a sharp 'watch where you're going.' Now? Now she lets out a pathetic squeak and jumps back a little. ]
Oh.... You're not a monster. Great, that's cool.
no subject
... did she say "You're not a monster"? Because damnit that's what it just sounded like.]
I uhm, I like to think I'm not a monster? ... wait wait wait, what do you mean "monster".
Ze Dorms
Hey! There's not much to see up here, pretty much just bedrooms.
Re: Ze Dorms
So these floors are all just bedrooms huh? It was looking that way... I was hoping there might be someone in here I recognize but I haven't seen anyone so far. ... err, kind of a silly question but just where are we?
no subject
Well, depending on who you ask, this place is either one giant lie or the end of the world. I'm in the giant lie camp myself, but... well, it's complicated.
[His expression is concerned for a moment, but a smile returns before long]
Either way, you're in a huge Tower that has a lot of places you're better off avoiding. Good call on the weapons too, monters wander around sometimes - not to mention not everyone here is nice. This place has it's share of jerks, so heads up on that.

Dormitory Hallways
Fortunate. Your weapons arrived intact.
...Is there anyone in specific you're looking for? [Because even in his short time here, he's certainly scoured the dormitory floors and checked the names at each room often enough to- probably- readily know whether or not anyone she might mention is present. Or at least, listed.]
no subject
Any of my comrades, although Lord Ephraim, General Duessel, General Seth... any of them in particular. And yes, although I'm missing a lance I'm pretty sure I had before. And I had a lot more armor too...

[He lets the sentence die off, answer clear in the lack thereof. It's here that Raven frowns, though relatively mildly. It seems more thoughtful an expression than anything, even his features are as severe as ever.]
You're wise to keep your guard up. Monsters roam the tower, even if not many make it up here, and I can't imagine everyone in this place is well-intentioned.

Mind if I sit here? [ Amelia's table was the closest near her. Normally Ayaka wouldn't socialize too much but she figured talking to someone new owuldn't be too bad. ] You're new here, aren't you?
no subject
Hello there! Yeah I... just woke up a few hours ago. I don't know how I got here either... my name's Amelia! I'm a soldier from the Grado Empire. What's your name? [Even though that seems to have a vanishingly slim chance of being a name anyone here would recognize.]
no subject
My name is Ayaka Sajyou. It's nice to meet you, Amelia. [ She drums her fingers on the table. She was never good at socializing. ] You're a soldier? [ She didn't seem that much older than Ayaka herself. ] I can't imagine myself being one... What's it like?
(no subject)
floor 1 I HURD YOU NEEDED AN AMBERLEY
I know it's gross, but you can do it!
LIKE SOME KIND OF NOT REALLY A NINJA AT ALL!
... uhm, hi! Yeah it's... not the best food I've ever had. But it's not completely terrible. It probably helps that I haven't eaten in a while.
NOT REALLY the cain mun linked me haha
[ That's not all that surprising to Amberley considering that the other girl is obviously a warrior of sorts, but she plays the part of being surprised fairly well. ]
I had a hunch!
GOOD HUNCH
