bath game

Characters: characters participating in the bath game
Setting: a shower room
Format: any
Summary: bath time for the tower
Warnings: general horror/creepiness warnings

OOC INFORMATION

MINGLE
RITUAL

The elevator opens up into a huge bathroom lined with independent shower stalls. The room is large enough that there is a stall for every participant in the game. The structure of the room itself is entirely a polished, chrome-like metal with an impossibly sterile feeling to it, not unlike the rest of the bathrooms in the Tower.

The retrieval units lead the players to the stalls. Pulling back the curtain reveals that within the shower stalls are not actually showers, but old-fashioned claw foot tubs. The tubs, in sharp contrast to the metal of the room, don't look like they've ever seen a cleaning product. Rust and mineral deposit cover the taps and faucet. The tub itself is crusted with a build-up of minerals, soap scum, and mold. One threadbare white towel rests folded next to the tub, and a plain white bar of soap sits on top of the towel.

The players are then supplied with a piece of paper including instructions on what they are to do in the stall. If they're not able to read, it will be read to them. Judging by how the retrieval units guard the elevator, there is no leaving until the instructions are completed.

Better get to bathing.
tentacletrainer: (It was an utter failure.)

[[She sighs, trying to figure out how she wants to word it.]]

I said that...cutting you up like that made it so that you couldn't give yourself away. I would have you to myself. And while I disapprove of what I had done, I admit to being possessive like that.
ghostytrainer: (keep your chin up and grin.)

[He rubs his thumbs in small circles on the back of her palm again, silent for a good minute or so.]

Well...you know you have me to yourself, right? I don't want to give myself away to anybody else. Hell, even after I listened to that tape, I didn't really mean any of the stuff I said. I just couldn't stop myself from saying it.

[A beat.]

Well, none of the stuff I said to other people, anyway. [A grin, chuckle, and squeeze of her hands.] Because you really would be fine print if you were words on a page.
tentacletrainer: (It's not like that.)

[personal profile] tentacletrainer 2013-02-23 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
See and that's why I never brought it up before.
tentacletrainer: (Come again?)

[personal profile] tentacletrainer 2013-02-23 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's an irrational feeling. I know I have nothing to worry about or even be jealous over.
ghostytrainer: (smile for the camera!)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-02-23 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
So? Just because something is irrational doesn't mean you can't worry about it. [He gives her hands a small squeeze, smiling gently.] But if you never say anything about it, how can you ever hope to get over it?

[He pauses, glancing down at the floor.]

That being said...I think when this stupid game is all over, we should sit down and talk about a few things. Because it's not really fair if I don't follow my own advice, is it?

[Yes, Rose. You're not the only one with stupid, irrational, teenage worries.]
tentacletrainer: (Hmph)

[personal profile] tentacletrainer 2013-02-24 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
[[Falling quiet again, she sighs and nods.]]

...okay. But what do you mean by that?
ghostytrainer: (i'm listening‚ what's up?)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-02-24 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
I mean that there are stupid irrational things that I worry about sometimes too. But I don't think that now is the best time for us to be airing our laundry, all things considered.
tentacletrainer: (Why are you up in my grill yo?)

[personal profile] tentacletrainer 2013-02-24 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I have to agree with that. It's a little...well, to be honest, far too public.
ghostytrainer: rose (betcha' didn't see this coming!)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-02-24 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. [He leans up, pressing a kiss to her cheek.] So we'll survive this stupid ghost game and then go back to one of our rooms and have a little heart-to-heart, alright? Sound good?

[Or so he thinks...]
tentacletrainer: (You're too kind.)

[personal profile] tentacletrainer 2013-02-24 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
Alright. [[After a moment, she returns the kiss.]] I suppose good luck with your game then.
ghostytrainer: (Your name is JOHN.)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-02-24 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
You too, sweetheart. [One final squeeze of her hands before letting them go.]

Whichever one of us gets out first will wait for the other outside, yes?
tentacletrainer: (I'll admit it. That was clever.)

[personal profile] tentacletrainer 2013-02-24 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. After you? [[Just going to gesture toward the stalls.]]
ghostytrainer: (oh swoon!)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-02-26 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Oh swoon, what a gentleman!

[He definitely, actually swooned right there.]
