►►► VARIOUS;
[ When Rin wakes up the morning of the first, she's left a gift as per her request. Surprised as she is to see it, she wastes no time in getting the film inside of the camera and visiting various floors. Rin starts at the top of the tower in her search to take pictures for her uncle, taking caution to travel to floors that he might not be able to due to his condition. The more dangerous the floor? The more likely one is to find Rin there. She shows no fear as she moves through with relative ease and should she happen upon a monster? Well, it's rare these days that a monster can stand up to her and should she meet her match, it takes seconds for her to be free of the danger due to the silent guardian that can be called to her side near instantaneously. Not that she's going to bother him when she's having such a great day admittedly. ]

►►► DORMITORIES;
[ Sometime in the evening, after she's spoken with Saber to find out what this place truly is and what she is herself, Rin can be found lurking in the hallway as though she's waiting for monsters to come for her. Not that they crawled among the dormitory corridors often, but if they were to come looking for her... well, she might greet them happily. ]

If it isn't mine, then why did they stay within me? [ She mutters out loud to herself bitterly. ] Why is it still there too?

[ Somehow Urotsuki finds herself on this floor pretty often. Maybe since it reminds her of that one area in her dreams. But staring at the fish is something she never gets tired of, either way, so she's just standing there as oblivious as ever..

.. But for once she does notice something from the slight flash. She slowly turns her head only to find the girl there. Slowly Urotsuki blinks, recognition kicking in. ]

You.. were in my dream. [ Well, not that it was just her dream, but Urotsuki can hardly tell the difference. ]

Your dream?

[ Rin lazily rolls her head to the side to acknowledge her and oh. ] The one with that rotten old granny in it, huh?

.. Was she rotting?

[ Of course Urotsuki would take it literally. She'd believe it, either way, despite seeing the woman herself.. ]

I thought she was just missing some fingers.. .. ah, actually, a whole lot of them.

Her arm was likely rotten.

[ Rin replies back simply. ] She started to miss less of them as time went on.

Uh-huh. It must have been since people found it, so she took it [ she's mimicking the gestures with her own hands as she speaks, even though she obviously can't take off her own fingers.. ] and put it right back on there. Like this.

Yes, thank you for the demonstration. [ She doesn't show an ounce of gratitude after that. ] Were you able to find any?

.. Not really. It was a little difficult. I've never tried to find something that small before.. .. at least, not on purpose.

[ at least she doesn't seem very fazed by rin's lack of gratitude, she just blinks blankly. ]

I was helping out a dog instead.

A dog?

[ Lancer? ] I didn't see a dog there. I saw mermaids and some man on the bridge.

What was the matter with the dog?

[ The bridge.. ah, right, she just walked over that one quickly. Although now she heard it, maybe she shouldn't have done it so quickly. She did want to see mermaids too, that sounds like it would have been fun.. ]

It was stuck with a leash. So I tried to help it, but.. ah, it was weird. I died. [ You know, like she's talking about the weather rather than her death. A simple fact. ] And you?

Usually things that are leashed are meant to remain that way. [ Geez. ] It's owner probably wasn't too happy about it.

[ Death doesn't count if it was in a dream!! ] Me? I didn't help some stupid dog break free so I guess I did better than you.

[ That's basically Urotsuki's philosophy. DYING IN DREAMS? HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. ]

.. It wasn't a stupid dog, you know. He was really cute.. [ Yes, defensive over that rather than over herself. ]

So because something is cute, it's worth risking your life for?

[ She hates to tell you this, but: ] There are plenty of "cute" things here that will kill you.

[ LIKE MERMAIDS. ]

It's okay even if they kill me. I don't die, after all.

[ Or.. well, to her it doesn't count as dying if she just comes back the next day. Or if it's a dream. ]

And I felt bad for the dog, I didn't think something bad would happen..

Aren't you afraid that some day you'll never wake up from it?

[ Not that Rin's ever witnessed that herself, but there's a first time for everything. ] Throwing your life away carelessly for a dog...

I've always woken up before, so.. I didn't think that one day I suddenly wouldn't. That would be weird. [ And if Urotsuki says somerthing is weird, then it really has to be.. ] That's why I didn't mind helping him. As long as he was happy, then that would have been fine.

Hm, but now he's certainly suffered too for your interference. Have you learned the lesson that some things are better left untouched?

[ Rin, you don't even know if that's true. ]

[ At least she's nailed the one lesson Urotsuki definitely has to learn. But it's not like she'll actually ever learn it.. ]

But how do I know when I can't or can touch something?

Common sense.

[ Something which most people have. ] Unless you feel confident that no harm will come to you, then I advise ignoring it.

[ .. Hmm.. she seems to get it a little at least, nodding slightly. ]

Maybe I'll have to learn more common sense. [ Hey, at least she's honest? ]

Yes, that sounds good. Now go and learn it away from me.

[ What a rude brat!! No one ever said Rin had manners. ]

[ It's probably a good thing (or a really, really bad thing, depending on how you view it) that rudeness goes completely over Urotsuki's head. So instead of looking hurt by it or getting angry, she just nods obediently. ]

[ .. and off she goes. ]
