Summary: Followup to this post. John managed to catch the soul extraction process on tape. Not wanting to expose himself any more than necessary, he avoided sharing it on the network and instead put note in everyone's mailbox. Now he's waiting to see if anybody responds.
Warnings: Probably just language

[Just as his note detailed, John can be found in the middle of the meadow floor between 1pm and 4pm on March 1st-3rd.]

[Not wanting to waste any time, he decides to train his Litwick and Zorua while waiting for people to show up by pitting them against one another in a play-battle. Yeah...experience gainage will be a slow process this way. He'll have to go monster hunting later. His Dusknoir floats at his side, arms crossed over his chest as he watches over the fight.]

[Now hopefully anybody who's here about the tape will be able to recognize him based on the dumb little doodle on his note...]

[Tohko nodded to herself as she burned that information onto her brain.]

Alright then. Thanks..you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but..could you tell me who went down there, if you can? Everyone, not just the people in your group?

Oh! Sorry, my bad. I thought you meant it literally.

[Hurr durr.]

Um...well I don't know everybody's names but even if I did, I am not sure if it's my place to say. Since if our names get out, we could be in a lot of trouble. Not that I think you would turn any of them in! Just...I don' t want to put my friends in danger or anything, even inadvertently. I'm sorry...

[Tohko smiled and tried to pat John on the head.]

Don't worry about it. I understand. In your situation, I would be wary too. Don't worry about it. Can yous show me..

[Tohko then whispered.]

Can you show me where the Administrator's elevator door is though?

[ghostytrainer]

[He doesn't attempt to move his head, so the head pat is a success.]

Mmm? Oh yeah, I can do that, no problem. Except... [He glances at the clock on his Pokegear. He can't very well leave when he promised he'd be here until four. But using my mundane-powers we're just going to say he's good to go.]

Oh never mind, scratch that. [He flips the device shut and shoves it into his fannypack, returning all his Pokemon to their balls.]

Follow me. [With a smile, he makes his way towards the staircase, slow enough for Tohko to follow.] Oh, what's your name by the way?

[Yay for mundane powers! Not that these two are aware of it.

Tohko smiled and nodded at that, easily keeping up with him.]

Thank you. I really do appreciate this..and I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl. Who are you? I didn't catch your name.

Book girl? Like a librarian or something? Oh but it's John...did I forget to write it on your note? Sorry, I kind of had a lot of those to write ahaha...

[Tohko chuckled and scratched her head nervously. It probably had been written on there, but..she had been in such a rush..]

I am a librarian..but that's not why I have that title. And you probably didn't forget..I was just in such a rush to get here and learn something new..I'm sorry.

[ghostytrainer]

[He waves a hand dismissively.]

Hey, it's no problem! You know what my name is now and that's all that matters. What does book girl mean then, if not librarian?

[May as well have a conversation while climbing all these stairs...]

[Tohko smiled at that as they kept climbing the stairs.]

I suppose so..and back home, I knew the most about books and loved them the most, so I had the book girl as my title.

Hehe, sounds like you and my fiancee would get along wonderfully. She loves books too.

Well, that's great! I'm glad to hear it! And..I don't mean to pry, but if your fiancee is in the Tower, then when's the wedding?

[ghostytrainer]

Oh, hehe. Not for a while. It's kind of a long story but I'm only fourteen and she's only fifteen so...it's kind of an extended sort of thing.

[Very extended.]

[tohko_amano]

[At that, Tohko nodded.]

Ah, alright then. Hopefully everything will work out in the end then. If you have any relationship problems, me, Rei, and Rise, have a little relationship counseling service open. We can help you out.

Hehe, thanks. Though...hopefully neither Rose nor myself will have to take advantage of your services. No offense or anything.

[He chuckles a little. It's true that since coming to the tower, he and Rose have started getting into serious arguments from time to time but...it's probably just the environment. It'll stop once they're both more comfortable with what they're facing.]

So how long have you been here, Tohko?

[At that, Tohko chuckled a little and nodded.]

Well, hopefully you won't have to, but just in case you run into any trouble, we're always here to help!

And I've been here..for about six months now. How about you?

That's very nice of the three of you to do that for people. Somehow I get the feeling people need it here a lot.

It's been almost three months to the day for me though.

Well..not many people need relationship advice as much as they need other things, but we do try to help! We enjoy it.

You must have shown up in January then..that's good. There were a few terrible events back in October and December that you missed.

[ghostytrainer]

Ah no! December was actually when I showed up. December 3rd, to be exact. [Kind of hard to forget the date when it's your best bro's birthday...] I was here for the uh...hallucinating death plague of doom. What happened in October though?

[tohko_amano]

Oh, I'm sorry! It wasn't just hallucinations though..lots of senses were affected by Jason's illness.

[Tohko then sighed.]

Back in October..Ruana put us all in costumes and had us certain amounts of candy, which grew larger as the days went by. If you didn't meet your quota, your costume would crush you, and you would come back as a warped version of that costume.

[Another sigh.]

..I was turned into a homicidal maid, and I killed at least three people before I snapped out of it and realized what was going on. And my best friend's free will was taken away. That broke him, and he still hasn't really recovered.

[ghostytrainer]

Christ... [Jesus fuck he was glad he wasn't here for Halloween. That's kind of his favorite holiday and that pretty much would have ruined it for him, honestly.]

[Hell, part of him is now wondering about this upcoming Halloween...are they always that terrible?]

Ruana is really fucked up, isn't she? One of my roommates tried to warn me but...jeez.

[At that, Tohko sighed and tried to smile.]

But you didn't take his warning that seriously, huh? She doesn't understand human emotions or empathy, but yes..she is pretty horrible.

No, I didn't. I mean ever since I got here that's all people have been trying to tell me, you know? Not necessarily about her, but ju=ust how horrible everything in general is and yadda yadda surrender all hope ye who get stuck here sort of doom and gloom stuff.

But who wants to think about that sort of stuff? And without seeing it with your own two eyes it's just...hard to believe that things could really be SO bad.

[Oh the woes of being a die-hard optimist stuck in a horrordeath tower.]

[At that, Tohko's smile grew a little. Guess who was also a hard optimist in the Tower of Terror?]

Well, I wouldn't say that you should surrender hope. After all, there's always bits of it to be found, if you turn on the lights.

But..it's not hard to imagine that things like this could happen and that things could be that bad.

Heh, trust me, I have no intention of giving up hope entirely. Not now, not ever.

[inb4 this comes back and bites him in the butt one day]

I guess...it probably shouldn't have been. I dunno, I guess I just didn't want to imagine it. And that made all the difference.

In any case, we're almost there. Just a few more floors...

Good! I'm glad to hear that. As long as there are stories brimming with hope, I don't intend to give up either.

Right..I can see where you might not want to think that those things were real..but at least you're making a bit of a difference with the right knowledge now.

[She then nodded.]

Alright then. I suspect that it's probably hidden so that most people don't notice it, right?
