You're on a distant shore.
Characters: Minatsuki Takami and anyone heroic or gullible? Or just anyone in general ♥
Setting: Room 2-19, or the cafeteria
Format: Whatever you'd like!
Summary: Precious bby tries to adjust to mean tower life.
Warnings: Minatsuki is a liar. She's manipulative, sadistic, and just... pretty horrible. So befriending her now could lead to your character being attacked and abused(physically or mentally) in the future. It's also possible there could be violence in here. There IS foul language! Aaaaand finally moeblobs could be annoying too.
[2-19]
Had her roommates been watching her, they might have seen a small sampling of her rage displayed on her face for mere seconds upon waking up in her dorm. Minatsuki sprang to life once the sleep paralysis was lifted. She clutched her chest and stared into the darkness of the room before she realized she wasn't in G-ward anymore. Everything was unfamiliar, so her expression quickly became neutral... Until she found that letter.
"No... It can't be."
Her voice was quiet, and her words were barely pushed out over her silent, shuddering sobs. Tears streamed down her face, and she crumpled the letter and pressed it to the front of her bodysuit while she cried. Of course, she really felt nothing, but she could see the forms of other people in the beds around her, and who knew if they too had just woken up in this room. Dimly, she wondered what had become of her brother, if what the letter said was true, but she supposed it didn't really matter. It wasn't like he really gave a shit anymore.
[cafeteria]
Later, after overhearing an explanation of the oatmeal rule, Minatsuki sat alone in the cafeteria. She might have found the rule dull, but complying was always good for her image. So she had eaten the entire bowl of oatmeal she was given, as gross as it was. After she was finished, she pushed the bowl away and covered her face with her hands, obviously overcome with emotion about being alone in a strange place... She sobbed quietly into her hands, sputtering an apology at anyone who came close or acknowledged her.

There was no way she was from a future in which she grew her hair back out. No... He knew by now about bringing people in from different timelines. Hagire was smart enough to draw his own conclusions, but not without testing the theory properly. After all, there was no way Minatsuki thought he was dumb enough to fall for the 'moe' act, if she knew who he was.
"Here I thought you'd think it was funny to know someone blew up our planet."

So, she still looked demure and almost devastated to anyone passing by. But, her voice was harsh and angry, and quiet enough that only Hagire could hear it.
"Who the fuck are you, and what the Hell do you think you're doing? Don't say that shit in a crowded room."

"Aww. You don't recognize me? That's okay, I guess. I was a bit before your time, before I died." Weird choice of words, but it makes sense in context... not that she knows, yet. This was perfect. She probably doesn't even know Shiro is the Wretched Egg, either. Oh, Administrators, what a nice gift you've given him! "People in Deadman Wonderland called me 'Mockingbird.' Ever heard of me? ✩"

2-19
V/V'd been sad at Satou's disappearance recently, but that didn't mean she could sit idly by while the newest roommate was crying. She rose quickly from her bed to come to kneel beside Minatsuki, white wings barely scraping the floor.
"I'm sorry..."
no subject
She wiped her eyes quickly, as if trying to hide that she had been crying. There was a momentary pause when she saw the wings, but she made no mention of them. She also averted her eyes just after that. She stared into her lap, her face turning pink.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you, or m-make a scene like this, I just... All my friends, and my home."
She bit her lip, looking like she was fighting off another wave of tears. There wasn't a single person back in prison that she would miss, of course. And if she could, she'd go back and desecrate all their graves. But no one had to know that ♥

V/V was completely fooled.

"Are you all right, mademoiselle? Do you require any assistance?"
A silly question to ask newcomers, she knows. But Ruler likes to make sure that she's willing to help right off the bat.

"Is it t-true?"

"Some people refuse to believe that it's true. Our captors are far from the helpful saviors the letters seem to make them out to be, so that could just be a lie to make us feel grateful towards them."

Crying people. He was never, ever going to get used to that kind of thing. Nor was he ever going to know what to do when someone was crying. Comforting wasn't something he was good at and figuring out what other people were thinking was also part of the 'no idea how' category. So Satsujinki was stuck defaulting to the really obvious option.
"...are you okay?"
He almost wanted to mentally hit himself. Of course she wasn't okay but he opened his mouth and sounded like an idiot.

"Yes... Sorry."
She gave a pathetic sniffle.
"I heard so many bad things a-about this tower, I'm just... I'm sorry."

Well, Sam could hardly disagree- this place was pretty brutal, from what he experienced last month, but at the same time, really? Doing something like crying out in the open was only going to show everyone how weak you were, and what good would that do you?
Although...he cried and acted sad and pathetic in public too, but that was more for getting people to automatically be on his side so he could use them for his own purposes later. She can't be doing the same thing, right? Right.
But anyways, he's interested enough to chat her up. He wanders over to sit down next to her, sorrowful eyes turned towards the table in the very image of misery. He mutters under his breath:
"It's unfair, isn't it?"

the winner should get a "grossest moeblob" trophy
calling it now that the trophy is made out of their crocodile tears

It's only after a few minutes (as if she doesn't really feel the need to immediately rush over the moment she cries) that she slowly walks over, sitting down at the girl's table and blinking to her. ]
.. Are you.. crying..?

Minatsuki quickly wiped her eyes with the back of her wrist, then turned her face away to hide the tears.
"I was trying n-not to think about it but... It's a little hard, right? This p-place is kind of scary. Sorry..."

She doesn't remember anyone being this distraught before.
"There's no need to be sorry, it's a lot to deal with."

It was almost sickening, apologizing so much. Acting so disgusting. But the pity in their eyes... The way they reflected those feelings of sadness back at her. It was priceless.

Poor innocent Shiro. With her face in her hands like this, she hasn't even recognized Minatsuki yet.

2-19;
One of the inhabitants of the bed just happens to stir from her rest as she sits up with weak-sounding grunts. Even though her roommate was in distress, Nunnally doesn't get up physically to approach her as she keeps her legs covered by layers of blankets and other fabrics.
"Is that someone new? Hello there, are you alright?" She also can't see very well in the dim light of the room.
no subject
Her voice cracked as she spoke, and it was obvious she was still crying. She made no move to get up though.
Cafeteria I'm sorry I'm tagging in really late ;w;
it's totally okay, I'm super slow with this character /sobs
She glanced from Enoch, to the bowl, then down to the floor again. His face had the most wretched look of kindness on it. It was like looking into the sun. She'd probably slip up if she looked at it for too long before she was used to it.
I'm slow too so it all works out?
/awesome slow high five
