Of course she goes to the library first
Characters: Genesis Rhapsodos and OPEN
Setting: Floor Three; The Library; A good chunk of the afternoon
Format: I'll match!
Summary: Genesis finds the library and disappears into the world of fiction!
Warnings: None for the moment
Fighting monster had gotten boring, really. While many presented a challenge, she really did not want to keep fighting! So it just so happened that she found the library Tohko had told her about and it was here she stayed for quite some time. Many of these books were just fascinating! Like nothing she had ever seen on Gaia. Genesis had grabbed quite a few, though she doubted she would finish any of them today. Was she allowed to check any out?
Were anyone to find Genesis, they would find her on the floor in the corner of the fantasy section, a couple piles of books next to her and her nose in one of them.

However, when she saw Genesis stuck in the fantasy section with a pile of books around her, she couldn't help but smile and walk up to her friend.
"Good morning! I take it you've found quite a few wonderful books to read."
no subject
Pausing for a moment, she gently shut the book after leaving a slip of paper as a bookmark inside of it. "Many of these don't exist on Gaia. Such creative plots that I would have never thought of!"
no subject
"It's great that you have then!"
Tohko paused for a moment at that second statement. Gaia..so this woman was from the same universe that Sephiroth, Cloud, and her old roommate were from. Huh. Well, she didn't seem like a bad person, so Tohko wasn't suspicious of her. Plus, she loved the books, so that was always a good sign.
"It's good that you get to experience them here then, even though it is a shame that they didn't exist on Gaia. Thousands of tales with hope, joy, despair, glory, honor, traitors, miracles, backstabbing..it's wonderful!"
no subject
"I don't know if I could read them all, but I suppose these tales could help me with my time here. Fighting monsters wears on you, even on Gaia."
no subject
"Fighting is rather exhausting..plus, stories hold quite a few things that fighting would never be able to show you."
no subject
Fighting was exhausting, but Genesis was a SOLDIER. She wouldn't be able to avoid it.

"..It is good that stories don't glorify them..but I think fighting, in certain conditions, only shows you the darker aspects of humanity. There are some light pieces..but on the whole, it's pretty bitter."

[Sola-ui walks into the third floor, looking over the shelves to see which books would be useful to her. She catches sight of the woman sitting by the pile of books.]
These books are...

Are there only fairy tales like these here?
no subject
The fairy tales are around there, I believe. I've picked up the fantasy and science fictions books mostly.

[She repeats her previous assertion. Fiction stories were a waste of time in a place like this.]
Are there any non-fiction books?
no subject
[Genesis frowned at the woman, still. And scoffed lightly, going back to her book.]
I don't read non-fiction, so I don't know where they are.

....because in the end, how could I resist?
Sephiroth rarely comes to the Library, having recently grown bored of the subjects available on both floors. He wasn't much for fiction and the factual books just didn't hold anything that he found himself in much need to know.
Though he paused at the sight of the redhead sat on the floor in the fantasy section. Of course he recognizes her from the video feed a few days ago, but as he made it clear his memory doesn't quite stretch as far as it should. A delicate silver eyebrow raised at the piles of books around her, before Sephiroth turned his back to carry on his checking of the other aisles.
He didn't even make a noise towards her, only resolved that should any monster be hiding in that aisle; that she would learn of it soon enough.
nevar!
At first, she didn't notice Sephiroth. Until he happened to walk past and his silver hair caught her from the corner of her eye. She looked up and turned her head, leaning slightly as Sephiroth walked out of sight.
"Sephiroth?"
no subject
As he had stated, it didn't matter anymore. Whatever memories there had been, they just hadn't been important. Certainly no a reason for him to submit to her in any way. In fact he was near convinced she had been in some way part of that all-encompassing lie; being so clearly SOLDIER. That lie that he had shattered so completely.
Still, when he heard his name he paused for just a moment as if to consider turning back before carrying on his cautious patrol of the Library heading in the direction of the terminals.
no subject
But he was going to be out of sight soon and she made a snap decision. Placing her book down, Genesis pushed herself up and followed after him.
"Sephiroth," She called again. "I know you heard me to first time. Rather rude of you to just ignore me."
Apparently, she was throwing caution at the wind for now. She needed to know exactly what he knew and remembered.
no subject
Sephiroth stopped and turned slightly so that he may peer over his shoulder armor at her. Glinting green eyes looking over her as if he may dissect her alive, he felt something in that moment too. Somehow, Jenova was there too; impossible to hide from him.
"I know nothing of you, and so have nothing to say to you. Genesis." At least he connected his green gaze with her mako-blue before tearing it away, lest he force any deeper resonance with whatever insignificant Jenova cells this SOLDIER may have fused with.
no subject
"But you do know me. Or you did, anyway," Genesis may not have liked his eyes right now, the way they looked nothing like the friend she used to know, but she sought them out all the same. "We were friends. You, Angeal, and I. I could understand if you were angry with me, I deserve it, really. But to completely forget about me?"
Genesis knew she had done irreparable damage to their friendship. She would have understood if he wanted to continue not being her friend anymore. But forgetting about her hurt worse than she ever really thought.

She wanted to curl up in a ball and cry herself to sleep and never wake up, but she knew it wasn't going to happen. Ishtar knew that she would keep going, because she promised Duzell, and everyone else that she'd stay strong. She subconsciously started to write out the names of everyone she ever knew from Facility and here that she had lost on a half crumpled piece of paper in a handwritign that somehow got better in the last three and a half years she spent outside of her world. It'll be a year here soon.
She wanted to go home. She continued to scribble across the page names. ]
Duzell
Yujinn
Lelouch
C.C.
Zero
Ichiru
Itsuki
Kurama
Yusuke
Yukina
Kuronue
Gaara
Maka
Elian
Rose
Lavi............
[ and the list went on. If Genesis noticed there was furious scribbling on Ishtar's end as she scratches out something on the page, passing it down to the table, and making a scratching noise into the wood. She wasn't sitting too far from the Fantasy Section of the library. She only planted her head against the table as she closed her eyes trying to rid herself of the frustration. ]
no subject
She found a woman with her head down on the table, the scribbling gone but she saw all the names. She 'ahem'ed before speaking up.]
You shouldn't damage the wood.
no subject
H..Huh?
[ she noticed it was a girl that was speaking to her. ]
Oh, sorry.
[ She stopped setting the pen down. Ishtar didn't even know what she was doing until a second ago. ] I must have been a little lost in thought.
no subject
A bit more than a little, I'd say.
no subject
Ah, probably. I've got a lot on my mind. I'm sorry if I interrupted you in any way.
no subject
It's fine. I always find time to read. Care to talk about it?
