Of course she goes to the library first

Summary: Genesis finds the library and disappears into the world of fiction!

Fighting monster had gotten boring, really. While many presented a challenge, she really did not want to keep fighting! So it just so happened that she found the library Tohko had told her about and it was here she stayed for quite some time. Many of these books were just fascinating! Like nothing she had ever seen on Gaia. Genesis had grabbed quite a few, though she doubted she would finish any of them today. Was she allowed to check any out?

Were anyone to find Genesis, they would find her on the floor in the corner of the fantasy section, a couple piles of books next to her and her nose in one of them.

At that, Tohko smiled and nodded. "That's true..if you want, I can recommend you a few fantasy stories like that."

"Hm," She looked at the stack she already had and chuckled lightly. "Perhaps later, when I've finished with what I've chosen for now."

At that, Tohko nodded again and sat across from Genesis.

"Alright then! Do you mind if I read with you for a little while then?"

[rhapsoidein]

Genesis smiled at the young woman and nodded. "A fellow reader is always welcome in my eyes."

At that Tohko's grin grew even larger.

"Thank you! I'm glad we have the same opinion then. It's just a short break before I go back to working.."

With that, Tohko would pull a copy of Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End of The World out of the stacks and start reading.

"What do you do around here, then? Do new books come in for your to categorize or are you stuck doing the same thing over and over?" Genesis couldn't help but ask.

Not that Tohko minded explaining how the library system worked.

"New books actually do come in every day, and there's so much activity here that we're constantly cleaning and putting books back in their places. There are a lot of them here, so the need a lot of attention."

Genesis looked surprised and put a finger to her chin. "Hm... and how does one acquire a job here?"

[tohko_amano]

At that, Tohko sighed and scratched her head.

"Well..the Administrators assign you one."

[rhapsoidein]

Genesis frowned and scoffed lightly. "Of course they do. And I suppose I don't get much say in where they put me, hm?"

[tohko_amano]

At that, Tohko sighed again.

"Sadly, no. You could get anything from janitor to ball pit cleaner. There isn't much of a choice here."

[rhapsoidein]

Genesis sighed and crossed her arms. Then there was a large chance she wouldn't get the job she wanted. Damn.

"Well, that's hardly something I would like."

[tohko_amano]

"Not many people do like it, considering that they get jobs they hate. I was pretty lucky to get a job I liked."

[rhapsoidein]

"Hm. I see," Genesis replied. "Would getting a job be prudent to living here?"

[tohko_amano]

At that, Tohko smiled, thinking.

"Well, it depends upon which job you get, but it does help give you some thinking time. Were you thinking about getting a job here?"

[rhapsoidein]

"Perhaps. It depends if I have need for a job or not," Genesis answered. "If not, then I'll be content fighting the monsters."

[tohko_amano]

At that, Tohko nodded. Since it was up to Genesis whether or not she needed a job, she wouldn't push her..but that didn't mean she couldn't at least offer.

"Alright then..but if you ever decide that you want a job, we'll always happily welcome you here as a librarian!"

[rhapsoidein]

"Well, thank you for the offer," Genesis smiled with a nod.

Though if the Administrators were the ones in charge, she didn't get her hopes up about it.

Well, that didn't mean she couldn't decide to pick a job for herself. However, Tohko smiled and returned the nod.

"Oh, you're welcome! I'm always happy to have people here."

[rhapsoidein]

"Honestly, I would take the offer now, but I doubt the administrators would give me what I want," Genesis shook her head with a shrug.

[tohko_amano]

Tohko sighed and scratched her head.

"Well, you never really know sometimes. After all, I rather like being a librarian, so I'm sure they do sometimes give jobs to people that want them."

[rhapsoidein]

"Mm, well, we'll see," Genesis gave the girl a small smile before returning to her book. We'll see, indeed.

Tohko returned the smile and nodded.

"I guess we will..eventually."

..Since Genesis returned to her own reading, Tohko allowed herself to get sucked back into her own book too, all while resisting the temptation to eat it.
