Bon Appetit (Closed)
Characters: Chloe and Vriska
Setting: The Restaurant, a hunt and back again... hopefully
Format: Prose unless she prefers action tags
Summary: Well, like Chloe said, you can posture all you want, but might as well test their mettle a little. So, why not work for their lunch?
What's the worst that could happen?
Warnings: Well, considering they might run into a monster hunting whatever it is they hunt? Probably a bit of violence. That, and Chloe's a creep and Vriska's Vriska.
Chloe stood at the edge of the restaurant, glancing at the staff member and nodding while she waited for Vriska to show herself. She was honestly a little curious. The text had been purile and a touch needlessly hard to understand, but the bravado had her interested. Was it like Doom, and debatably founded, or was this one all talk?
Honestly, she was a little bored as it stood. The whole Dark World had been entertaining, but it had left her itching for a little more excitement. And, in this place, you had to search for that. Why not risk life and limb for a meal?
Besides, what was the worst that could happen? They die? Wrapping herself in her cloak, she smirked at that thought. Death really had lost a lot of its meaning to her. She wondered if that made her a little crazy.

"So, tell me, Vriska," she said. "You seem to have a little experience with my kind, and I've so little with yours. What makes you call us weird?" Squishy? That, she could understand well enough. It reminded her of Yuugi, though less eloquent.
Heh, an oni. Eloquent. That was an odd thought.

Her critique sounded harsh, and she meant it to. But there was something vague in the tone she used to list her complaints that made them sound hardly like complaints at all. In truth, Vriska liked humans and their odd culture. Maybe even to the point of envying them a little.

It was easier to deal with than some youkai looking down on her oddly. "Curious. I have to admit I don't know quite enough to understand what you could possibly mean about propriety," she said, sounding more amused than offended. A note was passed to her and she glanced at it, an eyebrow rising.
Well, that was interesting.
"I'd agree that most of the culture is inherently weak, though. They're soft, indolent and demanding, lost in their sins and mastered by them instead of their own masters. Pathetic, really."

"We humans all have them, things that we usually let rule us, control us. The secret is to master desires, not to let them master you. If you let anyone master you, you can never be in control, not really." And she paused at the door, glancing out of the corner of her eye. "They seem to have caught our mood. I hope you're ready for a little risk..."
Not that they had a choice anymore. The deal was struck.

It was a complaint about the surroundings, not the company. For a human, Chloe didn't seem half-bad. But Vriska was restless, and the atmosphere of the establishment wasn't doing her mood any favors.

She knew where they were headed, though it would take a few floors to get there. As she hit the button and waited, she leaned back at the door. "We're desecrating corpses. It sounds so innocent... but things rarely like to stay dead in this place."
