THE HERO OF THE IMPERIUM

Characters: Amberley Vail, Commissar Ciaphas Cain, and YOU
Setting: All around the safe floors. The cafeteria, dorms, etc.
Format: Actionspam is cool, threads with cain and amberley will be done separately
Summary: Propaganda is good! Everyone should know that there's a hero among us who stands up for good humans and helps protect them from the tower!
Warnings: Discrimination towards aliens and anything practicing magic. The shoot first, ask questions kind of discrimination.

[ Amberley and Cain can both be found about the tower today, the almost seven foot tall man following behind the smaller woman dressed in his normal military garb with his chainsword at his side. You do get the sense that he's being dragged around by her, mostly because of his stoicism and her cheery enthusiasm make a pretty jarring contrast.

The two each have a stack of handmade flyers they're handing out, which Amberley made with a marker and some scrap paper. Not the most high tech propaganda out there, but it was better than nothing. Everyone who runs into the duo will get one of these.



At least they're trying to help, even if it's in their own horribly misguided way. ]

[ She really should have thought ahead and just used the word alien. It's just so hard to think ahead when you get excited. ]

Xeno is another term for Alien which is more popular in my own world. That line was printed to indicate that we wouldn't be helping anyone that seeks out the destruction of the human race.

I see... I suppose that makes sense if they're trying to destroy the world. However, what about those who are not human but aren't dangerous?

And what about people who use magic? Judging by this, it looks like you won't help them either.

I'm not particularly against a temporary alliance with non human creatures, but such things come with their own set of risks.

[ Like accidentally getting shot and killed from behind. ]

Sorcerers are just as dangerous as xenos. Even if they mean the best, they're still dealing with the powers of the warp which can easily overwhelm even the strongest of minds.

[carabina]

So from my understanding, you plan only only helping "normal" humans and not anyone who is considered an alien or a sorcerer? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

[ The smile on her face has faded away now. Really, she's kind of offended that they would even do something like that. ]

You aren't wrong. We aren't interested in protecting those who would do us and the human race harm.

[ Amberley takes note of Mami's disappearing smile. Though what she doesn't understand, thanks to brainwashing since childhood, is why this is so hard for people to get. For her and Cain, it's a rather simple concept that involves not helping anyone that'd kill you once your back is turned. ]

And what about non-humans are magic users who want to help the human race? Are you simply going to let them die?

Why look down on the innocent?

[hegantha]

[ Amberley's honestly not sure she just heard that right. This results in her stopping and staring at Mami like she's got something stuck on her face. She's not trying to be rude, she's just never heard anything so absurd in her life. ]

They may be innocent, but I have no proof. And after a few decades of having both groups try to kill me while making my records... well, that's enough to make you suspect all of them. Why should I endanger myself and everyone else by blindly trusting?

[carabina]

With that attitude, you'll only push people away. After all, no one wants to get saved by someone who won't help their friends either. You don't sound like heroes to me.

[ She's insanely bitter about this. Mainly because heroes are suppose to save people, whether or not they use magic or are non-human. She knows that there are cruel people here, but why should they push away the people who are innocent and who may need help? ]

Why divide the line when we're all on the same level? No matter what, we all have a common enemy here.

[hegantha]

When you come up with a good way to tell who will and who won't decide to shoot me when my back is turned, let me know. I wouldn't be very responsible by endangering myself, Ciaphas, and any other humans that may be accompanying us.

In a perfect world, I could judge blindly and make decisions based on anyone telling me that they're innocent. But this isn't anywhere close to a perfect place. I can't take that risk, and it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, even if I don't like the idea of sacrificing people who may be innocent.
