THE HERO OF THE IMPERIUM

Characters: Amberley Vail, Commissar Ciaphas Cain, and YOU
Setting: All around the safe floors. The cafeteria, dorms, etc.
Format: Actionspam is cool, threads with cain and amberley will be done separately
Summary: Propaganda is good! Everyone should know that there's a hero among us who stands up for good humans and helps protect them from the tower!
Warnings: Discrimination towards aliens and anything practicing magic. The shoot first, ask questions kind of discrimination.

[ Amberley and Cain can both be found about the tower today, the almost seven foot tall man following behind the smaller woman dressed in his normal military garb with his chainsword at his side. You do get the sense that he's being dragged around by her, mostly because of his stoicism and her cheery enthusiasm make a pretty jarring contrast.

The two each have a stack of handmade flyers they're handing out, which Amberley made with a marker and some scrap paper. Not the most high tech propaganda out there, but it was better than nothing. Everyone who runs into the duo will get one of these.



At least they're trying to help, even if it's in their own horribly misguided way. ]

Have you been made aware of the events that took place this past month?

[wegotlucky]

I've heard that some guy named Dax was killed but not the details.

[hegantha]

Would you like to take a seat somewhere?

[ She doesn't want the guy to pass out on her. ]

[wegotlucky]

[He nods, looking around for the closest bench of set of chairs.]

Yeah, sure.

[hegantha]

[ Amberley finds a bench and takes a seat. She's still within sights of her companion. ]

[wegotlucky]

[He takes a seat next to her, wondering just why she needs some sort of bodyguard here.]

So... how much do you know?

[hegantha]

[ She doesn't exactly need it, but she sure does like having him around. ]

Dax wasn't just killed. The psyker was cannibalized by Ruana, another being in control of the tower. He was working in the inside to try to help us. Without him around, I fear it will be much more dangerous in the tower.

Which is why me and Ciaphas are trying to help out how we can. I'm not much of a fighter, I admit, but Ciaphas has seen his fair share of combat over his lifetime. He's a celebrated war hero from where we're from.

[It's probably a very good thing he's sitting down because he feels pretty faint suddenly. He may have come across evil magic before, but the administrators cannibalizing each other? He feels sick.]

That's... that's horrifying.

[But now he has resolution. These guys hate magic, and he does too. And he has a reason to want to help, now.]

I'll do what I can to help. I'm not a war hero, but I have experience with a sword.

[hegantha]

[ She grins at that, holding out her hand for a more proper introduction accompanied by a handshake. ]

Amberley Vail. And you are?

[wegotlucky]

[He shakes her hand.]

Neal Cassidy.

[hegantha]

Glad to have you on board. We'll need all the help we can get.

[ It's not lost on her how many enemies she's made today, but she's dealt with worse. Amberley's been in tough spots, and she knows every ally she can get is an invaluable asset. ]

[wegotlucky]

[There are plenty of people who would be extremely unhappy with Neal if they were aware of what he had just done, but it's not like they're around, right?]

It certainly seems that way.

[hegantha]

[ And if they come around, you've got Cain and Amberley backing you up now. So no worries! ]

Try not to worry too much. While it's a grave situation, we have Ciaphas. He's not the Hero of the Imperium for nothing.

[wegotlucky]

[Yeeah... about that...]

Yeah. Thanks. I appreciate it.

Not a problem. It's part of his job, anyway.

[ Well, it's hers too, but that's a secret~ ]

[wegotlucky]

I just hope I can do something to help.

[hegantha]

We all have the ability to help those in need.

[wegotlucky]

Yeah, you're right, I guess.

[hegantha]

You should believe in your abilities a bit more! You seem like a strong, cunning man to me and I and I am a good judge of these things.

[wegotlucky]

[He laughs a little.]

Well, I don't know about cunning, but I know a trick or two.

Good to hear. We'll need all the tricks we can get.

[ The Imperium fights dirty. ]

[wegotlucky]

Well, I hope that I can come in handy.
