open event catch-all

Characters: Kelsey-characters and you - Mondo Oowada [personal profile] mustlovedogs , Lambdadelta [personal profile] stalemates , [ou] Waver Velvet [personal profile] nonacquiescent  and Vergil [personal profile] bloodright
Setting: Various
Format: Starting action, but I can go with the flow
Summary: Lambda eats her stuff out of a candy brick, Vergil and Mondo have bad hair days and Waver freezes
Warnings: Who knows what could happen, honestly.

Spring; Vergil; floor 19 and around
[Monsoons sure do make reading hard and Vergil's clearly just about had it with trying. He shuts the book in his hands with what would have been a crack if it weren't for the pages being entirely waterlogged.

Elsewhere, someone's having a hell of a time keeping his hair out of his eyes. Well, that's what it might look like to most, but for him, it's more about looking too much like his idiot of a twin with the rain making it impossible to keep his hair slicked back. He's clutching a photograph, which has clearly suffered a lot of water damage. If only he could find somewhere to dry it, it could be salvaged.]

Summer; Mondo; dorm floors and forest
[Spring has broken Mondo's perm iron, and the summer heat isn't helping things. So, anyone who spots Mondo...may not quite recognise him. His hair's down, straight, and it falls to his waist. He wears only his pants and tank top, and spends the entire season desperately searching for food and water to hand out. Those closest to him are the top priority, but after taking care of them, there should at least be some berries or meat left over, that he'll gladly hand over to anyone he spots.]

Autumn; Lambdadelta; floor 14
[Lambda's sitting in the media room, a television floating in the air to keep it from being lost in the leaves. Meanwhile she's making use of them as a nice place to sit, they're piled up almost like a throne while she rolls around watching horror movies.
Oh yeah, and there's a multicoloured brick about the size of Lambda herself in her hands, that she's gnawing on. It's the candy she had stored in her trunk, all melted together...along with her other belongings. You might see some pink lingerie sticking out, or a black cat stuffed animal...]

Winter; Waver; dorm floors
[Mostly, Waver stays in his room, or at least close to it. But wherever he is, there are a few constants. He's huddled up, shivering, despite wearing his usual clothing, along with the Christmas sweater he received before, and the deerhide cloak Rider had made for him. But more importantly to him, he's holding his copy of The Iliad tight against his chest in an attempt to keep it from any more damage. The book suffered a lot of damage through spring and summer, and he can't stand to see any more. By now he isn't so much protecting himself from the elements as the book, though he does sit by a small fire.]

Anytime; Anyone; Anywhere

[This one's entirely up to you, if you so choose. You can always hit me up on plurk/aim/pm if you want to plot something.]

Apologies for the terrible lag!

This is True. Time will have its way with all things. Legends most of all.

[A spill of water makes its way down his back, and Lancelot sighs.]
Perhaps at some easier time I may say if what you know is true or false.

I am tempted to bear my armor, but I have never carried objects within it, and do not know if it would be wise or foolish.

Me too...!

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-04-01 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
[That might be interesting. As much as he tries to forgo company, hearing a legend from the man himself, an interesting one at that, couldn't be all bad.]

It can't hurt at this point. You have the option of certain ruin, or the possibility to save it.
chevalier_mal_fet: ('twas you saw/and have no shadow)

[personal profile] chevalier_mal_fet 2013-04-06 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, there appears to be little risk, presented with such options.

[He plainly does not relish the idea, but his wet suit can scarcely be more uncomfortable than his armor would be-- and so it appears on his body, save for the helm. A black fog hangs in the humid air a moment before dispersing.

His exceedingly damp book he retrieves from the shelf where he has set it. Lancelot spends a moment fitting it through the armhole of his breastplate-- where it does indeed seem a bit more safe from the elements.]

It seems well done thus far. If you like, I will carry your object along with mine. You could certainly retrieve it at your will.

[Weather events make strange bedfellows, it seems.]

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-04-15 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
[He pauses, considering. It's true there seems no other respite from the rain. But, would he rather allow someone to see what he holds dear, or allow it to be ruined?

It takes a long moment of watching Lancelot before he reaches into his coat to offer up the photograph.]

I would appreciate it.

[Lancelot politely does not examine the photograph before secreting it away. When he has done the thing, he simply inclines his head to Vergil.]

It is a small thing. As I said, you may have it again when you wish.
I am most often with my Master, seeing to his protection in this place-- but if I am not to be found with him, then I he will know best where to find me.

His name is Kariya Matou.

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-04-15 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Kariya -

[It isn't likely there's another with the same or terribly similar name, but, to be sure,]

the diseased man?

[this is the best way to easily describe Kariya, okay.]
chevalier_mal_fet: (said the child/keep me from all harm)

[personal profile] chevalier_mal_fet 2013-04-15 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, even he.

[Lancelot raises a brow at Vergil's reaction. But then, his Master makes quite an impression, when he wishes to.]

I suppose one might call him so. Though his condition bears resemblance to a disease only outwardly.

Have you had dealings with my Master, then, Vergil?

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-04-15 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
I have.

[...]

It's good to see he has a protector.
chevalier_mal_fet: ('twas you saw/no man has known you)

[personal profile] chevalier_mal_fet 2013-04-16 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
That he does. I am his Servant-- his Champion in the Grail War.
I fight on his behalf.

Did he tell you of the War, Vergil?

[Given that up until their meeting in the Tower he and his Master had barely exchanged Words, Lancelot is interested in the sorts of conversation the man makes with others of his acquaintance.]

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-04-16 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
He did not.

[But if that man was involved in some war, Vergil may have to give him a little more respect. Or at least, a bit more credit to his abilities.]
chevalier_mal_fet: (said the knight/came and walking by)

[personal profile] chevalier_mal_fet 2013-04-18 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
I see.

If he has not spoken of it, then I will not burden you with undesired details-- suffice it to say that my Master is engaged in a conflict over an object of Power that grants the Heart's Desire of the one who claims it. Though he does seem weak and frail, Kairya Matou is a Magus, and summoned me as his Servant.

[His Master tries his patience sorely, but he would not be dismissive of the man before one he hardly knows-- and who knows his Master already.]

There are others here of my kind, for I sense them. But we do not join Battle here, for it would be fruitless.

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-04-18 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
[And then Vergil was interested in the Holy Grail.]

No, do go on, I didn't think him the type to seek such a thing. I'm no stranger to such conflict myself.
chevalier_mal_fet: (king arthur/a battle of my choosing)

[personal profile] chevalier_mal_fet 2013-04-26 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Vergil, pls.]

[Of course, he's been admonished not to inform outsiders of the Grail Way and its Prize. It seems a pointless instruction. What can any here do to claim a Grail that, could they reach it, would not recognize their right to vie for its Salvation? Lancelot obeys his own will in these matters.]

There is little more to tell-- apart from the History of the Grail, of which I know but little, save that it is a Holy thing, blessed by the Benevolent Powers. Each Master has his reasons for seeking it, and each Servant willingly answers the call to fight for it. We are given form by their energies.
The Grail itself will appear when all is won. Then my Master will take the Cup and remake the World to reflect his Wish.

I will also receive my Desire.

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-05-10 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
I see. And your desire, if you don't mind my asking?

[It's alright, Lance, Waver already accidentally told most people...]
chevalier_mal_fet: ('twas you saw/a foreign fever)

[personal profile] chevalier_mal_fet 2013-05-15 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh WAVER. Fortunately, Lancelot cares not for restrictions.]

[For a moment, Lancelot seems as ancient and burdened as he truly is-- not as he appears, a man in his prime.]

I desire Peace.
A Resolution to-- my Past.

To Rest after Judgement. This is my Desire.

[personal profile] bloodright 2013-05-16 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
A strange desire for a warrior.
