[Hiding under a tree, Aleph tries to dry out his Arm Terminal, which is starting to go on the fritz. His demons are out and surrounding him - too dangerous to keep them in a malfunctioning device.]

It's no good...

[He sighs and leans against the tree as the rain pours around them.]

[Spring, Katsuya Suou, sauna]
[Katsuya slides his family photos inside the sauna locker. They're already mostly soaked, but he can't bear to throw them out yet. Maybe they'll dry out and be salvageable?

That done, he groans and paces the floor.]

[Summer, Zett Takajo, space projection floor]
[Zett isn't too concerned about lightning, it being his natural element...

And it looks really cool on this floor.]

Maybe I should try the caverns next!

[Whoopsy-daisy! Ryuunosuke just slipped on a pile of leaves and fell onto the floor on his butt.]

[V/V has had a brilliant idea.

See, there are lots of unoccupied rooms on the fifth floor, right? And they have four beds apiece, and those beds have blankets. So she goes from room to room, gathering blankets and piling them all together.

Other people may see her as a giant pile of blankets walking around on its own.]

I was getting blankets from the empty rooms, but maybe I have enough already. [She giggles.]

Oh man... you must have been freezing, huh?

[He knows her normal outfit and it doesn't scream warmth. And now he feels like the worst boyfriend ever for not finding her to check sooner. At least she was alright, but...]

[She nods. It was terribly cold in just her dress - at least she found shoes to wear, but.]

But I'm all right now.

I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking and I should have done something.

[He winces, guilt setting in even more]

Your boyfriend dropped the ball...

No way. I didn't come looking for you either so it's my fault just as much.

But you were gathering blankets! You did more than me, so you're a way better girlfriend than me!

... well I mean I'm not a girlfriend, but you know what I mean!

Yosuke. [Very seriously.] Nobody froze so it's okay. Can we snuggle?

[princeofjunes]

[Well that stops him cold, and after a dumbfounded moment, he nods]

Yeah, I'd like that. A lot.

[heavenscorpse]

Okay. [And now he's not freaking out so everything is fine.] We should find a good place for it.

[princeofjunes]

Well, you weren't getting the blankets for just us, right? Let's just go where you had planned, I don't mind sharing.

... the blankets, anyway. I'm hogging all the cuddling.

[She giggles at that.] That's good. The cuddling is just for you.

[With a smile, she leads him down to the uppermost lounge.]

[He doesn't have much choice but to follow, what with being part of the mass of moving blankets. Still, he likes the proximity to her, and the happiness is enough to make him forget the pain and dizziness for a while. Once they're at the lounge, he can't help but grin]

I might not mind winter so much if we do this every time.

Me neither. But we could do it when it's not freezing cold, too.

[Cuddling is even better when you don't hurt all over, right?]

I... think I'd like that. And when the power comes back, I want to learn more things to cook for you.

I'd like that! And we can practice guitar... And maybe you'll help me give a concert?

Of course! The whole tower needs to hear your song, and I'll help however I can!

Thank you. We can do lots of things together, as soon as I come up with them.

I can come up with some, too! How do you feel about games? The ones on the media floor are pretty good for passing the time.

I'm not very good at them, but they're fun! You can teach me how to get better.

[princeofjunes]

Of course I will! I'll teach you anything you want. Anything at all, just ask and it's yours.

[She just smiles.] I can't think of anything. I'm happy just talking to you.

[princeofjunes]

[He finds himself holding her just a little tighter as they sit there bundled up, impossibly happy for the crazy week it's been]

And I'm happy just being with you. I didn't know I could smile this much.

[She rests her head on his shoulder.]

I like it best when you're smiling. It's no good to see you frown, that makes me sad.

[Too... cute! She's just too damn cute! His cuteness meter is overloading! And with her leaning against his shoulder like that, he can't help but turn his head just enough to kiss the top of her head]

I don't think you need to worry about that too much, even in a place like this.
